I keep my command line docked, but as I type a command as an example "LINE" it displays my typing where
my cross hairs are. I want it to display at the docked command line not at my crosshair location
When I click on a civil 3d object the contextual ribbon will light up (which is fine) but instead of my cross hairs comming back in the drawing window I get the pointer that would be used to select an item in the ribbon (in the drawing area) and I have to click in the drawing area to get my cross hairs back or to grip edit the object or to delete the object.
Is there a option/setting I need to change to be able to get me cross hairs back after selecting a civil 3d object?
Just move to Civil 3d 2012, this worked just fine in '11...

The pointer flickers when in AutoCAD, especially when in menus, between the arrow and the arrow / waiting circle. Also does this flicker with the cross hairs and the waiting symbol when in the drawing window. Have all the drivers up to date no luck.
Have also tried multiple different pointing devices. Also have several instances where text will not move or allow to be modified until I save and restart the program.
I am an occasional user of AutoCAD. I have a received a drawing from a company where the cross hairs are at 45 degrees and I can only insert dimensions at 45 degrees.
I have tried PLAN > Enter > Enter . This rotated both the cross hair and the drawing 45 degrees
Every so often while working in LT-2010 the cross hairs will vanish from the screen but you are still able to pick items (as u move the mouse lines, etc hi-light in the usual way) also when you come outside the drawing area the mouse pointer will reappear (only while outside the drawing, in the command bars, etc)
the only quick way to return the cross hair to normal is to hit another tab & then re-enter the tab or model i was in. there seems to be no particular command that causes this glitch .
When deleting bolted connections from my assembly using design accelerator I am left with black cross hairs where the connections used to be, I can't seem to delete these from my model either in the assembly itself or by editing the sketch, what are these, why are they left over from a deleted connection and how do I remove them ... ? ?

View 2 Replies View RelatedHad a problem when screen capture stopped working, stating that I had an audio problem, so I uninstalled X6 Ultimate and reinstalled.
Screen capture is now working EXCEPT that as soon as the recording starts, red flashing cross hairs appear which I cannot remove and they show on the captured video. This did not happen before when screen capture was working. Is there a resolution on how to stop these cross hairs from appearing.
The options window will not display when typing "options" in the command line or selecting from the drop down. The options menu has to be hidden somewhere because AutoCad will not allow any other commands after typing options until I hit escape. I have tried restarting CAD and rebooting my computer with not luck.
View 9 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to turn off cross-hairs for Photoshop when using a very fine brush? i recently bought Wacom Cintiq 12WX and find cross hairs under the pen incredibly jarring.
i selected "normal brush tip" option in preferences > cursors menu and it works fine with bigger brushes but currently i'm working on a small-format illustration and use 1 and 2 px brushes a lot and cross hairs are still present for brushes that small.

Suddenly my CS2 has started to act up. First, after opening a file and start to do a background erasing, the brush shows up as crosshairs.
after a brief time of working with those limitations, when I click on the downdown menus, they get highlighted, but nothing drops down. If I try to close the file or the program, all I get is a warning "ding".
How can I project a right of way line into a cross section.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm working on cross sections and ran into a problem. I had to edit my surface but it wouldn't cooperate with me. So instead, I just erased the whole surface and restarted it. After I got my surface the way I like it, I added my sample lines to where they are supposed to be. Problem is, my cross sections turned out blank.
So for now, I skipped to create a surface profile and see both of my surfaces available on the bottom. The old one I deleted and the newly created one. It won't let me go to the bottom and erase the old deleted surface. When I go into my toolspace-prospector....it only shows my newly created surface and nothing more. Is this a reason why my cross sections come up blank?
I'll show you a pic of my toolspace with just the current surface and another pic of the "create a surface profile" showing that it still has both the old and new (all in CAPS) but it won't let me delete the original.

While I was out, my partner somehow now has two existing ground lines in my cross-sections. ####exist and ####exist (1). They are offset by about .5 feet left to right. Where do I remove the surtface ###exst (1) from the cross sections. I am looking now.

For example if I try to type in "line" and I type in "linr" it will hang up for around 50 seconds. Is there a setting, system variable or key in the registry to stop autocad from looking for a command/shortcut that doesn't exist?

I have the command line in the upper left corner as a floating window which auto hides. Its not clickable, dragable, nothing. If i reduce the C3D window it is still locked to the top left corner of the screen on top of the windows desktop.
COMMANDLINEHIDE doesn´t refresh the situation. I just want my commandline back on the bottom.
My command line is partially off the screen as shown in the attachments below. It started doing this after a reboot this morning. I can't drag it, select it, or find a way to move it in any way. I tried changing the resolution of my monitor thinking it might "bump" it back on the screen. I'm probably missing something easy but I can't seem to make any difference.

When I create a new document in AutoCAD, I get a weird gap of space right above my command bar that either displays a duplicate of the command bar or just blank white space. It is as if the comupter does not recognize it as part of the screen. My mouse will jump over the bar and I cannot type or select anything inside it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIt happens during many different commands. The command itself doesn't seem to affect this problem. It doesn't always happen, but every so often, as I'm in the middle of a command, when I scroll past a contour line the program freezes. Sometimes it comes back to life after a few seconds of thinking, but sometimes it just sits there non-responsive forever.
Possible ideas:
-Contour Labels set to "Mask Contour Line Only"
-Dynamic Inputs on
-Selection Preview is on (but it's disabled for "When a command is active")
-Surface is shortcutted into the drawing
-Contours are from an XREF

I have been having the following happen in a number of my drawings for the last two weeks. Whenever I wblock anything, I get the follwing characters added to the message:

It doesn't seem to affect anything in the wblocked drawing or in the original drawing.

Civil 3D 2013/ When I try to move or un-dock the command line window, a red circle with a line through it appears.
When I switch work spaces still the same result.
Since last week (4-19-2012) Our users have been expierencing cursor issues and freezes with Civil 3d 2012. Entering commands in the command line very slugish, pressing the shift key to select / de-select, trim, open osnap menu, ext.
We are running Win7pro6d bit quad core machines with 6gb ram, ATI FirePro V4800 (FireGL), Intel Xeon ES640 (2.67 ghz). AutoCAD Civil 3D(SP2) and all hotfixes installed.
This problem just started one week ago and It started with the cursor jumping all over the place when crossing objects. However; we now have very sluggish command line entry, 2 - 3 seconds after typing till it shows up, and cursors freezing when pressing the shift key for any reason.
As you see in the picture, the word Kitchen appears fine but the red line is where the dimension of the table top is supposed to be. It should show 6999.820mm or something , but it just displays a red line.
I just started learning AutoCAD 2010 through some videos and I came across this problem, how to rectify.
I changed my Units to mm, changed it before drawing.
Is there a way to auto label every line length of a schematic so that it displays on the cad drawing? Sort of like using the linear dimension tool but for all available lines of a layer or line within a drawing.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am having a very strange issue with Photoshop CS6 - OSX 10.7 and 10.8 (recently upgraded).I havent been able to figure out how to reproduce this bug though it happens all the time every day while i work.
I work on a file maybe for 10 minutes to 1 hour and when I save a file with command s photoshop does nothing. it will not save until i make any change that registers in the history and then it does save.
Even weirder photohop will close the file as though it had been saved giving no warning box with the "file has been changed, would you like to save?" message.
This has lead to me constantly saving things and double checking if files are saved, it has also lead to me missing a file from time to time and having to redo hour of work. The issue started happening when I recently reformatted and reinstalled all my software.
I press CTRL+9 to make the Command Line disappear while drawing. When I plot (or when doing a plot preview) , the Command Line appears again by itself. So I always have to turn the Command Line off manually after each plot
The bug still happens;
- if Dynamic Input is turned off or on
- if I plot to a real device or in PDF
- if the Cammand Line Palette i docked or floating.
This is not an issue in AutoCAD 2012 so I guess it has to do with the new way they programmed the revamped Command Line palette in 2013.
