Dec 30, 2012The cursor, when typing or editing text is not in the correct position. If I begin typing, it stays a the first column, instead of progressing with the typing. I am unable to insert spaces at the beginning of a line. Sometimes the cursor will appear at the end of a line, but be inserting characters at the beginning of the line.

For example if I try to type in "line" and I type in "linr" it will hang up for around 50 seconds. The options menu has to be hidden somewhere because AutoCad will not allow any other commands after typing options until I hit escape. Oct 18, 2012I had a problem this morning where for some reason I needed to do a drawing recovery on a map - which is fine, all seems well.
The problem is that now when I type a command, it doesn't appear next to the cursor anymore. It's not really a NEED having it there, but I've gotten to like that in the newer CAD versions, and now I can't find the setting that makes it come back. Sure I CAN type everything and have it show just at the bottom of the screen, but I'd rather have my dynamic field back.
How I can restore it?

Feb 4, 2012Multiple times, when I have been working in a file, my cursor can no longer move smoothly over the drawing space. Istead, it moves as if it was in a grid and I can not move the cursor freely. The grid view is off so that is not the problem.

Apr 26, 2012Since last week (4-19-2012) Our users have been expierencing cursor issues and freezes with Civil 3d 2012. Entering commands in the command line very slugish, pressing the shift key to select / de-select, trim, open osnap menu, ext.
We are running Win7pro6d bit quad core machines with 6gb ram, ATI FirePro V4800 (FireGL), Intel Xeon ES640 (2.67 ghz). AutoCAD Civil 3D(SP2) and all hotfixes installed.
This problem just started one week ago and It started with the cursor jumping all over the place when crossing objects. However; we now have very sluggish command line entry, 2 - 3 seconds after typing till it shows up, and cursors freezing when pressing the shift key for any reason.

Dec 14, 2012My cursor appears and disappears while in GIMP as I move the cursor over the canvas. I can make the cursor appear but only if there is no movement of the cursor. It makes no difference which tool I select, the size of the canvas, or the level of zoom.
Please note that this only occurs in Gimp, and none of my other applications. It started when I upgraded from openSUSE 12.1 to 12.2. I'm assuming that it has something to do with my input device configuration, but I could be totally wrong.
I have a total of 3 input devices - Core Pointer, Logitech USB-PS/2 Optical Mouse, and Virtual Core XTEST Pointer. Both the Optical Mouse and XTEST Pointer are DISABLED. Core Pointer is the only one enabled. Enabling Optical Mouse and XTEST Pointer give me other problems in Gimp and need to remain disabled.
For the Core Pointer, Mode is set to SCREEN, a message says that 'The axis X has no curve', and the following Axis Settings:

AutoCad :: Why Can't See Text In MLEADER While Typing
Apr 5, 2012So I recently upgraded from AutoCAD 2008 LT to 2013 (a huge jump), and I'm now tying to use MLEADER command.
When I create a new leader, the text I create for it does not display on screen or even in the command line while I am typing, which means I have an absurd number of typos, I'll get distracted mid-sentence and forget where I was, etc.
This is bad. I'm assuming there's some sort of system variable that turns this on and off?
Possible relevant info: leader scale is set to "annotative," leader style is "MTEXT."

Nov 21, 2010I am currently writing a series of routines for setting the layers for text, leaders and dimension commands. The end goal is a system where any annotation command sets the correct layer for the duration of the command, then reverts back to the layer that was active before the command.
I have managed to complete all the code, and it appears to be working fine, I just have one question: I have used -layer "m" "Lay_name" etc... for all layer setting commands, rather than any code to see if the layer exists already. In my limited testing this seems to be suitable, nothing that exists on that layer seems to be affected.
I know how to write code to determine if the layer exists already and set the layer instead, but so far it seems unnecessary??

May 15, 2012I press CTRL+9 to make the Command Line disappear while drawing. When I plot (or when doing a plot preview) , the Command Line appears again by itself. So I always have to turn the Command Line off manually after each plot
The bug still happens;
- if Dynamic Input is turned off or on
- if I plot to a real device or in PDF
- if the Cammand Line Palette i docked or floating.
This is not an issue in AutoCAD 2012 so I guess it has to do with the new way they programmed the revamped Command Line palette in 2013.
Using Windows7
