The cursor, when typing or editing text is not in the correct position. If I begin typing, it stays a the first column, instead of progressing with the typing. I am unable to insert spaces at the beginning of a line. Sometimes the cursor will appear at the end of a line, but be inserting characters at the beginning of the line.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm using Illustrator CS6 on a Mountain Lion Mac. Got a weird problem with one of my fonts. I'm used to type accented characters like é by typing option-e plus e. Which works so far. On one of my fonts however, EuroComic, when I want to type the é character and start with option-e, it already changes the font to Myriad Pro. Typing the e after that makes it é, but in Myriad Pro, not EuroComic. It has always worked before when I was still using Snow Leopard. And it's not a font problem I think, cause in Indesign that same way of using option-e plus e works. The é is at the correct spot in EuroComic cause when I select all text and change it to EuroComic (after having typed that é), not only does all text turn into EuroComic again, but also that now Myriad Pro é turns back to EuroComic é. What could it be that could make illustrator turn the font to Myriad Pro after typing option-e on that parcitular font? With other fonts like Arial etc.

View 13 Replies View RelatedMy cursor appears and disappears while in GIMP as I move the cursor over the canvas. I can make the cursor appear but only if there is no movement of the cursor. It makes no difference which tool I select, the size of the canvas, or the level of zoom.
Please note that this only occurs in Gimp, and none of my other applications. It started when I upgraded from openSUSE 12.1 to 12.2. I'm assuming that it has something to do with my input device configuration, but I could be totally wrong.
I have a total of 3 input devices - Core Pointer, Logitech USB-PS/2 Optical Mouse, and Virtual Core XTEST Pointer. Both the Optical Mouse and XTEST Pointer are DISABLED. Core Pointer is the only one enabled. Enabling Optical Mouse and XTEST Pointer give me other problems in Gimp and need to remain disabled.
For the Core Pointer, Mode is set to SCREEN, a message says that 'The axis X has no curve', and the following Axis Settings:

Pressure none
xtilt none
ytilt none
wheel none
In Gimp Preferences->Input Controllers, there are three active controllers - Mouse Buttons, Main Mouse Wheel, and Main Keyboard.

i noticed that there were dictionaries in the preferences settings and i tried to change fro the English dictionary to chinese but there isnt' one and there doesn't seem to be an option for not having a dictionary on either.
i can type chinese in photoshop as well as Illustrator......what do i have to do with InDesign?
