I am using PH6. If I select a type layer and make an amend and then want to select another type layer I have to click the move tool to deselect and then click on the new text layer. Is there a quick key where i can click from one text layer to another quickly. If I click the escape key I can automatically come out of the text tool but the amends dont update

Every time I try to enter text, the edges of the text is surrounded/selected with lines going around it....how do I stop that and have it stop turning my image red (Its supose to be brown, until I click it then it turns red), it isnt even using the correct colors that I set it at.

The options menu has to be hidden somewhere because AutoCad will not allow any other commands after typing options until I hit escape. I have tried restarting CAD and rebooting my computer with not luck.

For example, say I have a block representing a telephone and it had an attribute called "PhoneNo" and I inserted it into a drawing showing an office floor plan that had blocks in each office space that are telephone junction boxes with attributes "PhoneExtension". I would like to be able to autocomplete the entering of the “PhoneNo” data by selecting one of the telephone junction boxes in the drawing and using its attribute’s value.
I am getting a strkethrough line over the middle of the text when I type any text- How do you get rid of it? The character menu when I pull it down does not seem to get rid of it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI had several CorelDraw documents that crashes on me, and the auto-backup did not work.
In all these documents, if I open the text paragraph window and typed on it, the entire program will crash if I exit that window after finishing.
I discovered that if I typed directly on the text paragraph, it will not crash. That means do not open the text paragraph window to do editing. But this makes editing very slow since it seems to be more memory intensive.
Strange the auto-backup directory/folder always do not have my backup files too.

View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I recently upgraded from AutoCAD 2008 LT to 2013 (a huge jump), and I'm now tying to use MLEADER command.
When I create a new leader, the text I create for it does not display on screen or even in the command line while I am typing, which means I have an absurd number of typos, I'll get distracted mid-sentence and forget where I was, etc.
This is bad. I'm assuming there's some sort of system variable that turns this on and off?
Possible relevant info: leader scale is set to "annotative," leader style is "MTEXT."
I have tried tooth and nail to use the Path tool and every tutorial explains it so simply but nothing will work. I cannot text to path.It should be so simple but it is not. I make a vertical path then select the text tool and type my text. Then hit text to path and nothing happens.Rotation doesn't give me the same quality in the final result so that's out.

View 3 Replies View Relatedthere are a very strange thing when I select some layers with Move Tool (V). An example:
I have too many layers. If I hide or block some of them and I try to select with the Move Tool (clicking on any layout point and dragging) I can't select it. This is the right behaviour.
The problem appears if those layers are in a group and I hide or block the group. In this case the layers are selected with the same operation. And this is tedious when you have too many layers grouped and you want to block all of them.
Summarize:
- If I block each layer individually, all is right; I can`t select it.
- If I block the group, I can select the layers, and this is wrong.
Years ago I was able to type %% and a letter so the diameter symbol appeared.

User select texts on screen. => Making a Selection Set of those selected texts. DONE
For each select text is on screen another text (on another layer) with the same coordinates.
For each text in the first Selection Set, I try to create a second SelectionSet (filtered to select text only, named acPSResPCode) but that SelectionSet stay always null. If I make the SelectionSet without filter I select every lines in the crossing windows, but no text are selected.

I've always used the method to just press the mouse down and scroll over that type I want selected. This can be iffy way to go, but it does look nice. what is selected is highlighted.
Someone showed me a trick of using modifier key (mac, command) and clicking on type icon. but when do this I just see marching ants, and thing get pretty confusing with marching and what can be adjusted. Is there a quick keystroke to select type and see it just highlighted (selected) the way I'm used to without the marching ants.
I find text very tricky to select. Is there a keyboard shortcut for that?
