Photoshop :: Typing Text: Can't See- Font Anomaly
Feb 9, 2008When typing text, the text is blurry and broken up and very hard to see what's going on. But as soon as I accept, or hit return then it's clear as a bell.

Photoshop :: CS6 Font Cursor And Typing
Dec 30, 2012The cursor, when typing or editing text is not in the correct position. If I begin typing, it stays a the first column, instead of progressing with the typing. I am unable to insert spaces at the beginning of a line. Sometimes the cursor will appear at the end of a line, but be inserting characters at the beginning of the line.

Jun 12, 2013I'm using Illustrator CS6 on a Mountain Lion Mac. Got a weird problem with one of my fonts. I'm used to type accented characters like é by typing option-e plus e. Which works so far. On one of my fonts however, EuroComic, when I want to type the é character and start with option-e, it already changes the font to Myriad Pro. Typing the e after that makes it é, but in Myriad Pro, not EuroComic. It has always worked before when I was still using Snow Leopard. And it's not a font problem I think, cause in Indesign that same way of using option-e plus e works. The é is at the correct spot in EuroComic cause when I select all text and change it to EuroComic (after having typed that é), not only does all text turn into EuroComic again, but also that now Myriad Pro é turns back to EuroComic é. What could it be that could make illustrator turn the font to Myriad Pro after typing option-e on that parcitular font? With other fonts like Arial etc.

Every time I try to enter text, the edges of the text is surrounded/selected with lines going around it....how do I stop that and have it stop turning my image red (Its supose to be brown, until I click it then it turns red), it isnt even using the correct colors that I set it at.

Jul 14, 2013I had several CorelDraw documents that crashes on me, and the auto-backup did not work.
In all these documents, if I open the text paragraph window and typed on it, the entire program will crash if I exit that window after finishing.
I discovered that if I typed directly on the text paragraph, it will not crash. That means do not open the text paragraph window to do editing. But this makes editing very slow since it seems to be more memory intensive.
Strange the auto-backup directory/folder always do not have my backup files too.

Apr 5, 2012So I recently upgraded from AutoCAD 2008 LT to 2013 (a huge jump), and I'm now tying to use MLEADER command.
When I create a new leader, the text I create for it does not display on screen or even in the command line while I am typing, which means I have an absurd number of typos, I'll get distracted mid-sentence and forget where I was, etc.
This is bad. I'm assuming there's some sort of system variable that turns this on and off?
Possible relevant info: leader scale is set to "annotative," leader style is "MTEXT."

Aug 8, 2011I have tried tooth and nail to use the Path tool and every tutorial explains it so simply but nothing will work. I cannot text to path.It should be so simple but it is not. I make a vertical path then select the text tool and type my text. Then hit text to path and nothing happens.Rotation doesn't give me the same quality in the final result so that's out.

Aug 15, 2012Working on an image this evening and needed to do some pixel level editing, and noticed two issues, they may be just on my system.
First, going to the navigator panel and select the zoom percentage, then using the up arrow to increase the zoom factor - the percentage value increases but the zoom does not work - for example my image is zoomed to 100% in the edit window, highlight the percentage zoom, increase the zoom amount using the up arrow to say 170% - but the image stays at 100%
Second, once you zoom to say 500% instead of seeing a highly pixelated image I see the suit material - like we saw before but cannot remember the bug that was being discussed. This maybe a driver issue - but just upgraded to the latest driver for the Intel 40000. Update at a zoom factor of 495% I see a pixelated image - at 520% and greater I see the suit fabric - yes sometimes for portrait retouching I do work at 500% ort higher

May 23, 2012I have a surface made up of gradings and feature line that I had to come back to and edit. I picked the surface and selected go to source file and when I got there one of my infill's has gone missing and the surface has a big hole in it. The weirdness is the sheet file that refs it does not have the hole. What is that all about.
P.S. Editing a surface built up like a Rube Goldberg contraption is no fun at all. Glad my best practices are coming along since

Illustrator :: Screen Anomaly When Using Pencil Tool (AICS5)
Dec 16, 2012Since upgrading to a new iMac, I see a flickering square at the cursor, when editing a path using pencil tool and Wacom tablet. Specifically, it appears when holding "Cmd" and selecting a path or "Option" dragging along a path to simplify the path. I captured a screen video and to my surprise, the square did not appear. In it's place is either a red or black circle. I am guessing these circles are part of the AI interface that I do not see on screen. I have not found any preference or documentation about them. Review this video. You'll see the circle, but not the flickering square I see on my screen.

Jun 21, 2007I was working on a project and I had recently installed a new font. Now all of a sudden whenever I make a new text box and type some text in nothing shows up. I can only see a tiny black line which isn't even text, even tho its set to 36ft. I changed the font and size to see if it made a difference, and nothing worked. I restarted PS and my computer several times, and still the same thing...
