May 11, 2012I created a command that I no longer use. I actually made a spelling error upon creating it "SUPECLOSE" and I want to delete it.
This is how I created this command: I typed in ALIASEDIT in order to add a new alias to a command.
I then clicked on the "Add" button.
In the "Alias:" field, I typed in "xx"
And in the "AutoCAD Command:" field, I typed in "SUPECLOSE" - which isn't actually an autoCAD command. "SUPERCLOSE" is the command I use to run a custom LISP routine that I created. Upon hitting pressing "OK" to this, AutoCAD prompted me with: "'SUPECLOSE' is a new command, Do you want to add this to your list of commands?"
I said yes. And then shortly afterwards realized the spelling error I had made. Problem is...I don't know how to access this list and delete the new command that I had just created (which does nothing).

Jan 4, 2013When I first started, I noticed that EVERY time I started Acad (Civil 3d 2012 or Arch 2012), the MRU list showed nothing but DST files. If I opened a dwg, it would get added to the top of the MRU list. But then the next time I loaded acad, there would once again be no dwg files--just dst files.
I thought that maybe the profile where the MRU list is stored was being overwritten by a backup (maybe the mgmt here wanted to ensure the profile remained "standard"). But then I noticed that when I open a dst file that was not on the MRU list, it gets added to the MRU list and STAYS THERE when I close the Acad session and is still there the next time I start Acad.
Now the difference between my issue and the other thread (at least as far as I can tell), is that I think they're saying that as dst files are opened, the dwg file(s) get pushed out of the list. But most of the dst files I'm seeing in the list are there from before I started.

Sep 20, 2011One of them is to e-mail drawings to our clients but my boss doesn't want to send them the blocks we drew so I have to do the following for every drawing.
1) Freeze the Multileader layer (the numbers disappear and turn into some text whenever I explode them so I have to freeze this layer.
2) Select All
3) Explode (I explode it 2-3 times)
4) Select everything on 2-3 Layers only and block those and disable "Allow Exploding".
5) Save.
I just came up with this...

Ran it, didn't do anything, figured as much since I pretty much threw those commands in there.Anyway, which book or site would have a list of commands I could "pluck" and use in the text file?
I'm assuming an AutoCAD script is just a sequential list of commands like the above without all the ++ -- {} syntax? If so, it shouldn't be too hard right?

Aug 9, 2012I am trying to type in notes or commands into AutoCAD and sometimes the wrong symbols appear.
Example:
I'm trying to type in 3'-6" and instead this show up 3è-6È. If this starts to happen, it will keep happening until I log out of my computer and log back in.
I have already checked my keyboard settings and it is set in English (Canada). This only happens in AutoCAD. Microsoft Office and all my other programs don't have this issue.

Nov 17, 2011In previous versions I could create a flat polygon mesh by typing "3D" and have an option to create a planar mesh "M" X "N" by specifying the 4 corners along with M and N. I don't see a way to draw this mesh in 2012 without having to ID every vertices. This procedure is listed in the Legacy portion of Help, but I do not see a way to do it.

May 2, 2011It seems that the 'combine zoom and pan commands' option doesn't work correctly. Let's say it doesn't react as i am used to in previous version. now i have to do the undo command or 'ctrl z' many times before i am back at the point where i want to go. I using the middle mouse button often to zoom in and out, and for panning. but now there are a lot of steps to undo if you want to go back.
I tried to switch of and on this option in the options dialog but no difference.

Sep 17, 2010An older gentleman at our company is very much used to having F12 as endpoint, F11 as intersection and F10 as dist. Now that I've upgraded him to 2011, his life is pretty much ruined.
No matter what I try, I can't get the temporary override buttons to work. F10 always does POLAR, F11 always does OTRACK and F12 always does DYN.
How can I kill AutoCAD's default behavior and implement what he wants done?
