AutoCAD 2010 :: Deleting Old Custom Commands From The List

May 11, 2012

I created a command that I no longer use. I actually made a spelling error upon creating it "SUPECLOSE" and I want to delete it.

This is how I created this command: I typed in ALIASEDIT in order to add a new alias to a command.

I then clicked on the "Add" button.

In the "Alias:" field, I typed in "xx"

And in the "AutoCAD Command:" field, I typed in "SUPECLOSE" - which isn't actually an autoCAD command. "SUPERCLOSE" is the command I use to run a custom LISP routine that I created. Upon hitting pressing "OK" to this, AutoCAD prompted me with: "'SUPECLOSE' is a new command, Do you want to add this to your list of commands?"

I said yes. And then shortly afterwards realized the spelling error I had made. Problem is...I don't know how to access this list and delete the new command that I had just created (which does nothing).

AutoCad :: Where To Get Comprehensive List Of Script Commands

Sep 20, 2011

One of them is to e-mail drawings to our clients but my boss doesn't want to send them the blocks we drew so I have to do the following for every drawing.

1) Freeze the Multileader layer (the numbers disappear and turn into some text whenever I explode them so I have to freeze this layer.

2) Select All

3) Explode (I explode it 2-3 times)

4) Select everything on 2-3 Layers only and block those and disable "Allow Exploding".

5) Save.

I just came up with this...

LAYER
K-Numbering
F
SELECT
ALL
EXPLODE
SELECT
ALL
EXPLODE
PURGE
QSAVE

Ran it, didn't do anything, figured as much since I pretty much threw those commands in there.Anyway, which book or site would have a list of commands I could "pluck" and use in the text file?

I'm assuming an AutoCAD script is just a sequential list of commands like the above without all the ++ -- {} syntax? If so, it shouldn't be too hard right?

AutoCAD .NET :: Custom Commands Within Namespace

May 3, 2012

Initiated a project with the AutoDesk .net templates for VB.net. I've kept the Extension Application loader that's part of the template, however commands that reside within my other classes aren't recognized. The extension is running because it's responding properly to events that trigger, however I can't call my custom command names from the command line. Could this be a function of the namespace that the commands are in?

Namespace IWC ' This class is instantiated by AutoCAD once and kept alive for the ' duration of the session. If you don't do any one time initialization ' then you should remove this class. AutoCAD .NET :: Deleting / Resetting Custom Properties?

Dec 21, 2011

I have been programming our document and version control values into the sheet set object, as a result the custom property list per drawing is getting a little large and is becoming a bit hard to manage. There are now properties with values that are no longer needed. Is there a way to delete or clear or maybe reset the customproperty bag per sheetset object / sheet object?

I have been playing around with code that looks like this:

Private Sub DeleteCustomProperties(ByRef myItem As IAcSmPersist, Optional ByVal Lock As Boolean = True) ''Throw New NotImplementedException Dim myDB As AcSmDatabase = myItem.GetDatabase Try Select Case myItem.GetTypeName Case "AcSmSheetSet" If True Then Dim mySheetset As AcSmSheetSet = myItem mySheetset.GetCustomPropertyBag.Clear() End If Exit Select Case "AcSmSheet" If True Then Dim mySheet As AcSmSheet = myItem mySheet.GetCustomPropertyBag.Clear() End If Exit Select End Select Catch ex As Exception End Try End Sub

but when i get to "set" the new custom properties (which works normaly when updating a custom property or adding a custom property to a custom propertybag that I have not "cleared"), I am getting a object not set to an instance error...

Do I have to "recreate" the custom propertybag with the InitNew(ByVal pOwner as IAcSmPersist).

AutoCAD LT :: Imported Custom Settings - Icons Don't Match Commands

Jan 16, 2013

I built a new computer, Windows 8, 64 bit.

Installed Acad LT 2011 64 bit.

Did an export of custom settings from a Windows 7 64 bit LT 2011 installation, imported those to the new Windows 8 LT 2011 installation. This was done using the Start>Programs menu. (I ditched the "Metro" stuff.)

The setup looks mostly the same, but when I go to use it, the icons don't match the commands. I have toolbars down the left and right sides with many icons. The icon for Hatch runs the Polygon command. The Move icon runs the Offset command. Lots of them are screwed up.

The ribbon commands along the top seem to be OK.

AutoCAD .NET :: Deleting Custom Properties Using SheetSet Manager API

Oct 29, 2013

I currently use code similar to Lee Ambrosius's 2009 AU handout that shows how to set/create custom properties. URL.... search for the header 'Adding Sheet Set and Sheet Properties'.

I have now accumulated numerous unused custom properties in my sheet set.  I haven't been able to find a way to delete these additional custom properties.

Because I use multiple subsets with multiple sheets for printing, I would rather not have to go through all the sheets, store all the custom properties I need, destroy all the existing custom properties, and then re-create just the ones I need. how to delete individual custom properties.

AutoCAD Inventor :: Deleting Custom Table And Entering Values

Nov 2, 2011

I need to insert a table on one of my Inventor drawings, however, it will vary in size (Fixed colums, variable number of rows). I have searched the forum and found this snippet of code to add a 2x20 table.

Sub Main()Dim oDrawDoc As DrawingDocumentoDrawDoc = ThisApplication.ActiveDocumentDim oSheet As SheetoSheet = oDrawDoc.ActiveSheet' Set the column titlesDim oTitles() As String = {"Member","Pos. From Datum A"}Dim oPoint As Point2doPoint = ThisApplication.TransientGeometry.CreatePoint2d(1, 28.7)' Create the custom tableDim oCustomTable As CustomTableoCustomTable = oSheet.CustomTables.Add("Infill Spacing", oPoint, 2, 20, oTitles)End Sub

The Problem

I now need to be able to do two things:

1. Delete all custom tables that may be on the drawing ( I may have more than 1 custom table on the drawing)

2. Access the individual rows and colums in a specific table so I can write a variable into them.

I have searched high and low for the API commands, but cant seem to find them.

Photoshop :: New Key Commands / Conflict Custom Actions

Sep 25, 2013

I loaded my legacy actions to Photoshop CC. They worked as usual until I loaded the PShop updater today. One of my own custom actions is F5 which adds a darken only layer. F5 now deletes the currently selected layer. I have looked though the keyboard command menus, and see MANY key command options.

I still am not seeing an F5  command to delete layer. Not sure how many other key commands have been added. I can foresee some very uninted results with actions I have spec'd that may now be superseded by new key commands. There seems to be a legacy option, but the interface to all of this seems a bit complex.

AutoCAD 2010 :: Lock / Unlock Commands

Apr 12, 2012

Lock/unlock commands have three major problems! No “window selection” to select the layers required to be locked in one go. For example, the “isolate” tool works fine with window selection! In principle, I have no idea about the philosophy beyond which some commands are banned from “window selection! No BUILT-IN icon to Lock All or Unlock All (sure, we can customize it but I’m talking about having this command as built-in)The AutoCAD doesn’t give an alert if a command is applied in the location where particular layers are looked. For example, in many cases, we get into trouble as we move particular objects to discover later that some of the objects were locked! That’s fine, but the AutoCAD should give warnings in case a command is applied where some layers are locked.
