I Did a Save as:
DSI-Menu_sc.cuix
All the custom Commands list the original DSI-Menu as the source. Can I somehow change that so that the source is DSI-Menu_sc?
Is it possible to have Lightroom rename the source images according to my custom naming convention?
I just imported 278 photos and they are all correctly renamed within Lightroom however the source files retained the original Canon generated names. I want to rename them for backup/in case I ever decide to stop using Lightroom/etc.
Can we place a custom menu and commands in Adobe Illustrator and invoke custom actions? The need for us is to call a C# DLL from these menu commands. I see C++ support but none on COM or NET support.

I've kept the Extension Application loader that's part of the template, however commands that reside within my other classes aren't recognized. The extension is running because it's responding properly to events that trigger, however I can't call my custom command names from the command line. Could this be a function of the namespace that the commands are in?

I created a command that I no longer use. I actually made a spelling error upon creating it "SUPECLOSE" and I want to delete it.
This is how I created this command: I typed in ALIASEDIT in order to add a new alias to a command.
I then clicked on the "Add" button.
In the "Alias:" field, I typed in "xx"
And in the "AutoCAD Command:" field, I typed in "SUPECLOSE" - which isn't actually an autoCAD command. "SUPERCLOSE" is the command I use to run a custom LISP routine that I created. Upon hitting pressing "OK" to this, AutoCAD prompted me with: "'SUPECLOSE' is a new command, Do you want to add this to your list of commands?"
I said yes. And then shortly afterwards realized the spelling error I had made. Problem is...I don't know how to access this list and delete the new command that I had just created (which does nothing).
I have the "create section view" command.
Ok, I'd want to have other (others) custom command "create section view2" and optionally call it from an icon.
These commands are saved with the drawing? ( I think yes). Would be there a possiblity to have easy access to this elements to deal with them ? Is it impossible?

I built a new computer, Windows 8, 64 bit.
Installed Acad LT 2011 64 bit.
Did an export of custom settings from a Windows 7 64 bit LT 2011 installation, imported those to the new Windows 8 LT 2011 installation. This was done using the Start>Programs menu. (I ditched the "Metro" stuff.)
The setup looks mostly the same, but when I go to use it, the icons don't match the commands. I have toolbars down the left and right sides with many icons. The icon for Hatch runs the Polygon command. The Move icon runs the Offset command. Lots of them are screwed up.
The ribbon commands along the top seem to be OK.
I am having a bit of trouble finding the correct code for some automated ilogic in inventor 2011.
I am trying to achieve an automated rename and save process for an assembly file as well as the variable parts in the file.an example would be a steel column...
Open ilogic steel column, run rules to change column length and section size...then save a copy to workspace, but also to a specific folder in the workspace..also rename the column file and save.

Which works fine to save the new assembly, but i need the same for the variable column within the assembly, and also to save to a specific folder not just the workspace top level.
I was wanting to save my toolbar setup and commands,or the way my screen looks. Do you do that in the options, profile section. If so do you just name the current screen shot as something and export to safe place.

I am running inventor 2009 on a windows xp sp3, with a server running windows server 2003 sp2.SQL server 2005 with net.frameworks 2.0.50727 on server and client.
I loaded my legacy actions to Photoshop CC. They worked as usual until I loaded the PShop updater today. One of my own custom actions is F5 which adds a darken only layer. F5 now deletes the currently selected layer. I have looked though the keyboard command menus, and see MANY key command options.
I still am not seeing an F5 command to delete layer. Not sure how many other key commands have been added. I can foresee some very uninted results with actions I have spec'd that may now be superseded by new key commands. There seems to be a legacy option, but the interface to all of this seems a bit complex.
I am starting to use the Sheet Set Manager and I am just wondering if there is a way to "save as" instead of "rename & number".
We have drawing sets that we need to do Work as Executed drawings for which means we need to copy the sheet set and all the drawings with a "-WAE" suffix. Currently the only options I can find are
1) Copy the original drawings and sheet set, rename the set sheet, then use rename and number to rename files and paste originals back.
2) Copy and rename sheet set and files in explorer and then open new sheet set and remove old files and add new ones...
Would love to be able to just select sheet set, save as and create a copy of the sheet set and all dwgs in it with -WAE suffix.
I've got most of my most commonly used keyboard commands changed to simplified versions that suit me, however, I have not figured out how to change the snap commands. I still type "nea" and "per" to snap to nearest and perpendicular. How do I change these?
Also, how do you change the F keys?
i am new to LR with LR4 upgraded to LR4.1. I can import images from my hard drive photo folders but LR won't let me reorder them. I get the message "The currently selected source does not support custom order". Why is this? I find it strange that such a sophisticated product as LR doesn't allow the user to move images around within a folder, especially when it can be done easily in Bridge.

In LR4, you clicked, held down, and dragged your cursor to select a custom target source point to sample from... Clearly with the big update to the Spot removal tool in LR5, this action has a different effect... So in order to mimic that old action, you have to hold down Command (Mac) while clicking and dragging to select from a custom source point.
This issue I'm having is that when doing this, the Clone/Heal option always defaults to clone. I would say that 90% of the time, I'd rather have it acting as a 'Heal' instead. Having to then go and click 'Heal' to update this fact on every single spot removal is highly time intensive to say the least, when you are editing thousands of images, in my case, at a time.
Am I missing something, or is it possible to change this Default to 'Heal' instead of clone? I like that LR4 would leave the Clone/Heal option wherever you last set it, and you had to manually change it in order to use it differently.
I need to change the shortcut commands but cannot find the file or how to do it in AutoCAD LT 2012. I had to reinstall due to a virus in my computer and I cannot remember how to do this, it has been too long.

View 9 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to save a custom artboard setup with a custom document profile in illustrator cs5? I do technical illustrations and our page size is odd (7.19 x 8.96. It the size that our Framemaker layout is set to.). I have a custom document profile that I use, but I use the grids all the time so that my callouts are spaced out evenly around the art. I would like to have a way to set the artboard up so that the grid will align to the center of the artboard everytime I turn them on. Right now they always start from the top left and when I center art in the center of the page, the grid spacing isn't the same on each side of the art. I just want to be able to open my document profile, turn on my grids, have them start from the center, and I can get down to business. As it is now I have to go into my artboard settings and manually adjust the grid to the center. Small annoyance, but it still annoys me. I have tried to save it a few different ways, but nothing has worked. Maybe there just isn't a way.

1) In what orientation is the image saved in the C source (row-by-row or column-by-column)?
2) Why does GIMP only export to C source but not import? And as a follow on, any program that will read in C source images and display them?
Just to make sure we are all on the same page about which format I am referring to, here is an excerpt from one of the images I exported as a C source file.
I need to do three things in a LISP routine for around 200 drawings. First, I need rename lots of old layer to new standard layer name, like change layer name "CL-RAILWAY-0" to new layer name "CL-0".
Secondly, I need translate some layer to standard layer, like all the things on layer "CL-WATER-160" to layer "CL-0"
Last, change some linetype, like change linetype"CENTER" to "CENTERLINE". I can do all those things by "CHECKSTANDARD" manually, but I really need someway faster and easier.
Due to circumstances beyond my control the directory path that my tool palettes are mapped to needs to be changed.

I have hundreds of blocks in the tool palettes that are looking for their source file on the "T" drive.
My brain says "Find / Replace T: with X: " using Notepad in all of the ATC files.
Is there a better method to tell those blocks to look on the "X" drive?
I need to update both the path and the Source file name in Data Shortcuts editor. If I update the path, it looks in the new path for the old file name, and throws an error. If I update the File name, it looks in the old path for the new file name, and throws the same error.

I have about 1000 folders all that have a file inside called; sample.jpg. I need to resize each of them and I have to use the Save For Web option so that these files are as small as possible. Save As makes the images too big. My plan was to make an action and batch process the files. It's easy enough to open all the documents, within the root directory, that are called, sample.jpg, by using the finder search features, but what I can't seem to do is get the Save to Web option to recognize the image's source folder. If I create an action, I see that the location I used when I created the action, is hard coded, so all I'm able to do is overwrite the same file, over and over again.
I have a map that I have scanned that has all the buildings and all the apartment numbers in each building. I have an SQL database that has whether or not each apartment is rented. I would like an automated way of highlighting each apartment number based on whether it is rented, has a depsoit, is vacant, etc. all in different colors. Is this possible with Adobe Photoshop or any of their products?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a project which has become very disorganized over the last year of editing due to PPs poor ability to effectively share sequences/projects across multiple computers. My assistant editor used a different computer and so the links in the sequences point to multiple "source" files in the project (some in imported folders). However, there is ultimately only one original video clip. The problem is that Premiere Pro won't allow me to delete the nested versions of the source files without also REMOVING the clips in each of the sequences that uses them. For example, the project folder looks like this:
- Original File Folder
-- videoClip-001.mov
- Imported File Folder (imported on one of the many exchanges between editor and assistant editor)
-- videoClip-001.mov
- Sequence version 1 (Uses the second video clip, not the first - although they are ultimately the same video file)
If I delete the Imported File Folder, which only has a mirrored reference to the same video file as in the Original File Folder, then the clip in Sequence Version 1 dissapears. What I expect, rather, is to see a "missing media" message in the sequence so I can reconnect it to the version in the Original File Folder. But I can't. BIG HOLE in Premiere Pro CC.
Why do I want to do this? In a large project with hundreds of video clips, keeping order is very important. With the sequences using multiple "versions" of the same video clip, that order goes down the tubes and it becomes impossible to work.
Well, I need a little slideshow of images, the code for mouse events (click, mouseover, mouseout, etc.) is the same for all images, then I create a symbol with one image inside for this, and drag&drop instances to stage, but now I don't know how change the image source of other symbols. In design time, when right click over any symbol instance only edit symbol it's possible (not single instance), and I don't know if is possible to change the image source of any symbol instance by code.
