Aug 22, 2005Last night i closed down my cad as per usual but this morning fired it up and my pulldown menus are missing-file,tools etc. The only one left if ltxpress which has been on my system for months now. I have turned my system off and rebooted but still missing.

Dec 28, 2012Autocad MEP 2013 was working fine until I installed SP1 yesterday.
Now when type in open the dialog comes up (not a filedia issue). When I click the "look in" pull-down in the open dialog it goes blank and I am unable to browse any folders. I've tried rebooting.. Should I reinstall?
AutoCad :: 2013 Edit Pulldown Menu Gone?
Apr 29, 2013The 'Edit' pulldown menu is missing from my version AutoCAD 2013. Additionally, the commands found in that pulldown are disabled, so 'undo' 'copy' 'paste' and etc are all non functional. The 'View' 'Format' 'Insert' 'Tools' pulldowns are also missing. Everything in the ribbon, also gone.
The problem occurred when CAD froze and I had to restart the computer. CAD was really laggy beforehand. Besides that everything was normal.
I tried repairing and reinstalling with the original disk with the same issues. Do I need to do an uninstall/reinstall? It's not the MENUBAR command, and the CUI command comes up with an error saying it cannot be located.

AutoCad :: How To Make Icons Show In Pulldown Menus
Mar 8, 2012Created some pulldowns and icons to go along with the new commands. Put the cui files on the server for everyone. Question is ... How/Can I make the icons go with them. Are they associated with the CUI automatically. Guy at work is running MEP and everyone else is running plan old cad. They are not showing up on his. Is there a way I can fix this?

Nov 13, 2013This problem has happened before with CS6 but it popped up again this week during a very simple edit....and it's making me nuts. For example, I was working on a short 5-minute video with a series of short clips (XDCAM EX originally) strung together with simple titles and some Gaussian blurs dropped onto short title card clips. After a few minutes of "normal" response from my Mac Pro (3,1 Dual QuadCore, 16 GB RAM), the program will stop responding to keyboard commands such as Play and Stop via the Spacebar. If I happen to go up to the Menu Bar and click on one of the pulldown Menu items, the pulldown will only be visible as long as I keep the mouse key depressed. When I release the button, the Menu disappears.

Jul 25, 2013I need to create a section of a 3d model. Unfortuntaly the layout tab I need is missing. Normally if somthing is missing I type 'CUI' and then click Ribbon>Tabs> select the one I want and drag it to 'Workspaces Contents' - 'Ribbon Tabs'

Jan 18, 2013I have Acad2013 installed on my computer. When I received a Acad Civil 3D dwg I could open it and see all (contour lines, etc.). Later I installed an object enabler Civil 3D (Civil3D_2013OE_64Bit.exe) cause Acad2013/Acad Civil 3D issues onto my computer and now when I open the same Civil dwg in Acad2013 I am missing the contour lines.

Sep 10, 2013I was making some pieces in Inventor 2013, and a lot of them had similar bases, so I would just use the derive button when I started a new piece, and just make changes to the old piece. I later saved the files as .stl 's to print them in the 3D printer. when the computer hooked up to the 3D printer brought up the pieces, the parts I had derived from the original were missing.

Sep 19, 2013I am using a full version of 2014 plain vanilla AutoCAD. More recently I have had the utility panel (that contains MEASUREGEOM) and the export panel pulled down in the work area for ease of access. The utility panel has disappeared completely, and sometimes I find the export panel hiding on the far right side of my screen with just a little bit of it sticking out. I right click on the the home tab and open "show panels" and I don't even see the utilities panel as an option to check or uncheck. I wonder if the utility panel is hiding beyond my screens view, but am unsure how to easily explore this possibility.

The 3D, solid, model has been created. I click on the Layout tab and there are only to panels showing: Layout and Layout Viewports. Four seem to have gone missing: Create View, Modify View, Update and Styles & Standards.
I have not made any changes to the CUI nor have I migrated settings from 2012.
AutoCAD 2013 :: MAC Missing Lines When Plotting?
Jul 24, 2013I am using autocad 2013 on Mac and plotting to hp designjet 510. Lines are always missing when I print especially medium to thin lines or hidden lines or for example hatch tile lines. I use the plotter also on a pc and there are no problems at all. I changed the thickness of my lines in ctb and still have lines missing. I change percision to 1 and same thing. If I print draft, normal or best I still have problems. I know how to spool and use in built memory on pc but can not find something similar on the mac and dont know if that will work, as i printed same drawings from pc. It seems that when there are close lines together or dense lines in an area, it just skips them.

Mar 22, 2013I just upgraded to 2013 map to a different computer. I loaded my 2012 profile and other than having to load the profile every time, I also do not have most of the ribbon tabs which I had upon the initial installation of 2013. After about 2 days I lost all od my map ribbon tabs, and at the same time my cui stopped loading automatically.
What is going on with this 2013 thing? It seems there may be a serious need for another hotfix or service pack.

Jun 6, 2012I'm having a recurring issue with using hide situation. Steps are detailed below and an example file is attached.
Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit SP1
Sketched all the geometry.Used hide situation to hide the portion of the fittings that reside within the clamps.Copied the clamps and fitting ends to each end of an elbow.Had an issue with item selection and used the audit command on the drawing. Following this the audit says there is a problem with the program and I should restart.
Restarted the program and any line that was effected by the hide situation is now missing.Attempted to open the backup file and the hide situation lines are also missing.
This has happened multiple times with different drawings, but the effect is always the same, all the hide situation data is now missing and I've lost a significant amount of work. The AM_3 layer created by hide situation is still there, but has no geometry.
