i am new to LR with LR4 upgraded to LR4.1. I can import images from my hard drive photo folders but LR won't let me reorder them. I get the message "The currently selected source does not support custom order". Why is this? I find it strange that such a sophisticated product as LR doesn't allow the user to move images around within a folder, especially when it can be done easily in Bridge.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIn LR4, you clicked, held down, and dragged your cursor to select a custom target source point to sample from... Clearly with the big update to the Spot removal tool in LR5, this action has a different effect... So in order to mimic that old action, you have to hold down Command (Mac) while clicking and dragging to select from a custom source point.

This issue I'm having is that when doing this, the Clone/Heal option always defaults to clone. I would say that 90% of the time, I'd rather have it acting as a 'Heal' instead. Having to then go and click 'Heal' to update this fact on every single spot removal is highly time intensive to say the least, when you are editing thousands of images, in my case, at a time.

Am I missing something, or is it possible to change this Default to 'Heal' instead of clone? I like that LR4 would leave the Clone/Heal option wherever you last set it, and you had to manually change it in order to use it differently.Â
In LR 3 I defined custom sort order in Library mode at the bottom of window. Where and how can I do this in LR 5?

I am in the development moduleI select all photos in my folderI activate the automatic synchonizationI change the selected user defined lens from the Tamron 70-200/2.8 (which is wrong) to the correct Tamron 28-75/2.8 (-> there's a known problem in the automatic detection of the different Tamron lenses because of the ID in the lenses, so automatic detection doesn't work - tell me if I am wrong!)The progress bar shows that it's writing the changes to the selected photos (which takes a moment)Then it seems to be synchronized and I continue workingAfter some photos it shows the 70-200 mm lens to be selected again! Â
So obviously it didn't sychronize all selected photos!

There are times lightroom 4.2 (and before) does not recognize already imported raws and does not gray them out. These are backed up cards and folders of of raw images. Why is the "do not import selected duplicates" check box not working???!!!

I just imported 278 photos and they are all correctly renamed within Lightroom however the source files retained the original Canon generated names. I want to rename them for backup/in case I ever decide to stop using Lightroom/etc.
We were creating a deployment on a 32-bit Machine and we came up on this error. Â All .Net framework has been removed. All Autodesk Software has been removed, temp files emptied. XP SP3.

I'm writing a script that "connects" the centers of currently selected objects through a stroked path, and I want it to follow the order in which I select the objects, regardless of the stacking order.
we have an old Docucolor 12 that runs with a Fiery X12 printer server. After we upgraded to Corel Draw X5, we are no longer able to add this machine as a scan source. I found similar posts for Draw X6 stating that it might be a 32bit/64bit problem. Woud that be the case for X5 too?

It plays absolutely fine until 9 minutes through when all of a sudden the audio loops back to the beginning. The video carrys on as normal untill the end of the clip but the audio starts from scratch. I have tried removing the video, renaming, moving location, starting a new project, but no matter when or how I play the video the audio starts again 9 mins through! The video plays fine in any media player except premier. I have tried exporting the video but unfortunately the audio error also gets exported. The clip is crucial to a video I'm making and can't be re-shot!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently needed to reinstall windows xp. I have saved everything I needed to reinstall all my software. My photoshop CS2 is the only problem I've had. Since it was an upgrade my installation pkge is looking for a previous version. I have the serial number, original reciept, confirmation number, case number and all other materials needed including a challeng code given to me 2 years ago when I upgraded. After 3 hours and being kicked from Customer Service to Tech support over and over with a hold time of 15 minutes in between each one I was finally fed up. Each person tried the same thing. Ctrl/Shift/Dbl Click which does not work. They agree my serial number is correct, they can see my purchase from the order number on my original reciept, but not one could give me a straight answer. They all kept asking the same questions over and over but none made sense. Honestly I don't think there was a language issue either. The last one actually said I should upgrade to CS4..... how could I upgrade that if I can't even upgrade to CS2 on my computer. I have totally lost respect for the Adobe system of support. I have 3 Adobe programs and I am waiting for the day I need support on those. If anyone has any suggestions for me I'd love to hear them. They would not give me any help other than to say I must have a previous version loaded before I can load an upgrade.....NO kidding! But even though I paid and they see I paid for an upgrade in the past....they cannot come to the conclusion that the previous version would no longer be loaded on my computer.....I've upgraded...the previous one is gone. My only hope is to get ahold of a previous cracked version so I can run my paid program through with the previous installed..... that risks my computer getting malicious files on it...which is why I did the clean install in the first place......
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just spent thousands of dollars on a new cintiq 22hd touch and now people are telling me that touch zoom and rotate are not supported in photoshop when running it with a windows platform (only works with MACS)???!!! are you serious???!!! I just tested this out and its TRUE!!! You can pan with touch but not zoom or rotate. The zoom and rotate functions work in all my other programs BUT NOT PHOTOSHOP. I even have the latest version of photoshop (CC), latest patch and all and nope! no multitouch support!Â

I dont know who im more pissed with WACOM or ADOBE.  Wacom's touch advertising was supposed to be their selling point! if you cant even use it with the most popular graphics program...err what's the point?And Adobe should have provided support like what...AGES AGO...the touch tablets and cintiqs have been out for almost a year now!Â

1.) I found a post that says that iLogic doesn't support wildcards. Are there any workarounds for this? For example, say I want a rule to suppress all hex bolts regardless of size in an assembly. Assuming all hex bolts will have the term "HEX BOLT" in the name, can such a rule be made?
2.) I was wondering if iLogic can access assembly (browser) folders to manipulate all files under it. For example, I have an assembly folder named "Hardware". Can iLogic access that folder by name?
3.) When an equation driven parameter gets pushed between files via an iLogic rule only the value is pushed instead of the equasion. For example, an IAM and IPT has the parameter with equation "PlaneElevation=Height/2". With iLogic this value is to be pushed from the IAM to IPT but if I change the IAM equation to "Height/4" then the IPT's "PlaneElevation" value loses the equation and is replaced with only the numerical value. What I'd like is the IPT's parameter to also read "Height/4".

I believe a dwg I am trying to access is affected by the acad.vlx virus as an alert comes up to check autodesk for solution (ID: TS13717811) however the published solution doesn't seem to work for the latest version of AutoCAD LT 2012Â as it asks me to access a file in the support folder which doesn't exist on my system.

Using bridge to organize 150 images. Does it save an image order? I clicked the build and export cache option last night before leaving it, but this am it's reverted back to the order it wants to be in, which is the order it is in finder.
