Lightroom :: Platform Doesn't Support LR5
Jun 20, 2013I am a long time user of LR and have the standalone LR4.4 on my Laptop and destop.  I have just registered on the cloud for the full pacage and cannot download the LR5 from the cloud as a message comes up saying words to the effect. This platform does not support LR5.

Aug 30, 2012i am new to LR with LR4 upgraded to LR4.1. I can import images from my hard drive photo folders but LR won't let me reorder them. I get the message "The currently selected source does not support custom order". Why is this? I find it strange that such a sophisticated product as LR doesn't allow the user to move images around within a folder, especially when it can be done easily in Bridge.

Dec 5, 2013LR 5.2 was working beautifully, but after shooting a couple videos (.MOV) in addition to normal images (.JPG & .CR2) my LR 5.2 started playing up when I wanted to import the content of my SD card onto my PC.

LR 5.2 (on Win7, 64-bit) stopped displaying ANY images or movies in the import window. It doesn't matter whether the images (+/- movies) are on the SD card (from which I usually directly import), or any folder on my PC that contains images. LR 5.2 however has no problem displaying the images on my PC in the library window (as they have been imported into the catalog before the problem occurred).

I'm now stuck with hundreds of photos on my SD card that I can't seem to be able to import...

I can't seem to get 'open recent file' to work in any of my CS6 programes It is always greyed out and never remembers what I've last done. Does it have something to do with the files being stored on a passworded server?

Oct 10, 2013While I was first working with CorelDraw13, I tried exporting a file that had a layer that was hidden, but printable. Â I got a warning/error window notifying my of the problem. Â In the corner, there was a check box option to not display that warning/error message. Â
Now, I am trying to get that window to show up again. Â
Photoshop :: Why Is CS6 Zoom Change Window Size Is Different Than Previous Versions
Sep 23, 2012Why in CS6 when zoom changes window size and a floating window fits in Photoshop window or on other display screen do I get scroll bars where a select all selection marching ants are not visible on all four sides till I drag out the window to get rid of the scroll bars so I can see all of marching ants.Â
In previous versions of Photoshop space for scroll bars is present but there are no scroll bar, select all marching ants are visible on all four sides when an image's window fits in Photoshop window or on second display. Is there a way to make CS6 work like previous versions? Also if I just open a document and Photoshop fits it to Photoshop window or second display the floating window is correct without scroll bars.

Aug 8, 2009I recently needed to reinstall windows xp. I have saved everything I needed to reinstall all my software. My photoshop CS2 is the only problem I've had. Since it was an upgrade my installation pkge is looking for a previous version. I have the serial number, original reciept, confirmation number, case number and all other materials needed including a challeng code given to me 2 years ago when I upgraded. After 3 hours and being kicked from Customer Service to Tech support over and over with a hold time of 15 minutes in between each one I was finally fed up. Each person tried the same thing. Ctrl/Shift/Dbl Click which does not work. They agree my serial number is correct, they can see my purchase from the order number on my original reciept, but not one could give me a straight answer. They all kept asking the same questions over and over but none made sense. Honestly I don't think there was a language issue either. The last one actually said I should upgrade to CS4..... how could I upgrade that if I can't even upgrade to CS2 on my computer. I have totally lost respect for the Adobe system of support. I have 3 Adobe programs and I am waiting for the day I need support on those. If anyone has any suggestions for me I'd love to hear them. They would not give me any help other than to say I must have a previous version loaded before I can load an upgrade.....NO kidding! But even though I paid and they see I paid for an upgrade in the past....they cannot come to the conclusion that the previous version would no longer be loaded on my computer.....I've upgraded...the previous one is gone. My only hope is to get ahold of a previous cracked version so I can run my paid program through with the previous installed..... that risks my computer getting malicious files on it...which is why I did the clean install in the first place......

Nov 22, 2013I just spent thousands of dollars on a new cintiq 22hd touch and now people are telling me that touch zoom and rotate are not supported in photoshop when running it with a windows platform (only works with MACS)???!!! are you serious???!!! I just tested this out and its TRUE!!! You can pan with touch but not zoom or rotate. The zoom and rotate functions work in all my other programs BUT NOT PHOTOSHOP. I even have the latest version of photoshop (CC), latest patch and all and nope! no multitouch support!Â

I dont know who im more pissed with WACOM or ADOBE.  Wacom's touch advertising was supposed to be their selling point! if you cant even use it with the most popular graphics program...err what's the point?And Adobe should have provided support like what...AGES AGO...the touch tablets and cintiqs have been out for almost a year now!Â

1.) I found a post that says that iLogic doesn't support wildcards. Are there any workarounds for this? For example, say I want a rule to suppress all hex bolts regardless of size in an assembly. Assuming all hex bolts will have the term "HEX BOLT" in the name, can such a rule be made?
2.) I was wondering if iLogic can access assembly (browser) folders to manipulate all files under it. For example, I have an assembly folder named "Hardware". Can iLogic access that folder by name?
3.) When an equation driven parameter gets pushed between files via an iLogic rule only the value is pushed instead of the equasion. For example, an IAM and IPT has the parameter with equation "PlaneElevation=Height/2". With iLogic this value is to be pushed from the IAM to IPT but if I change the IAM equation to "Height/4" then the IPT's "PlaneElevation" value loses the equation and is replaced with only the numerical value. What I'd like is the IPT's parameter to also read "Height/4".

Aug 15, 2012When I start Lightroom from the schortcut to Lightroom 4.1 in the Windows Start-menu it works fine.In the Startmenu there is also a list of recent files that appears on "mouse over" on the Lightroom shortcut.When I click one of those recent files, my computer starts an installation process (for the 64 bit version) as if Lightroom weren't installed already.After 30 seconds of searching for the installation files at a standard location, the program states that it didn't find the files.

Because LR already is installed I click Cancel to terminate this process and just try to aviod clicking the recent files next time.

I wonder why my recent files cant read. I dont know what to do. I already reinstalled it but then again its still the same. I set my preferences to open most recent catalog.
I then open another catalog and do some stuff in the catalog but when I start LR next time it keeps going back to a different catalog. How can I change the settings so it either opens the most recent catalog or I get prompted for which catalog I'd like to open (I've tried both settings) and LR still keeps opening the same catalog.

Jun 4, 2013I use Lightroom 3 and recently it has started making multiple duplicates of recent imported (and exported) photos without me doing anything.... what happens is I import a batch of photos, make adjustments to them, export them... close lightroom.

Then when I reopen lightroom, the previous imported set of photos have all been duplicated and sometimes there is more than one copy of each photo.
