I have a friend using Lightroom 3 on a Windows 7 PC. She uses multiple catalogs. (one for each client) as do I. Now when she launches LR the list of recent catalogs is empty. Could this be cleared some where? Why do they not show up and will they start showing up again after she opens different catalogs?
View 2 RepliesEvery time I launch Paint Shop Pro X5 my recent file list is empty. I thought the program was supposed to remember the last four images that were opened. I then have to select File > Open but now the program defaults to a folder called My Pictures. I store my images in my own folder elsewhere. I would like to set my folder to be the default folder. I have to navigate to my folder ever time I launch the tool. If I go to File > Preferences, I do not see a place where I can change the setting.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI combined 5 Lightroom Catalogs into one by using the 'import from another catalog' under the file menu. Now instead of having senior, family, wedding and children catalogs I have one. However, not all of the collections made it. All of the photos made it but collections are what I really work from once I have the photos imported. I still have the old catalogs that show all of the collections but they do not appear in the combined one. How can I get the rest of the photos to show up in the collections area of the combined catalog?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just installed Lightroom 5 and the import dialog box is not showing the previews of the images. Without the previews, there are no images to select for importing. It doesn't matter if they are JPG or CR2 and if I try to import from the camera card or hard drive. Version 4.4 also failed at first but after hacking away, I finally got the older version to work.
I am using Lightroom 5, Windows 7 64 bit.
The recent files are not listed in the welcome dialog box or under file menu recent files drop down list? How I can get it to list again?

View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter a rather horrendous incident with trying to do a series of videos all in one project using bins and shared media and a savefile that got *WAYYY* out of hand (20 minutes to load the file)- which I believe was tied to importing media from another .proj file, I have switched to a more modular approach with anywhere from 2-5 projects in each project and now a collection of around 15-25 projects on the go. Most of these are "work on a chapter, then change to another project while waiting for footage for another project" and several of them share pieces including multicam segments and sync'd audio.
Rather than importing from another project, I am using Control-C, switch to a different project file, then paste in. This isn't the most "Adobe Professional" style way of doing things, but considering that I lost several hours to trying to recover from the last project, even when I only needed to spend 20 minutes pumping out a rough cut, I'm not going back to that method until my next computer upgrade and until I begrudgingly switch to CC in around 1-1.5 year's time.
So the issue that I'm faced with is that I'm often using the Open Recent Project flyout and having 5 projects on that list is just not enough to be remotely useful.
In MS Office, the list is quite long and even in photoshop, I can get 10. That's enough for my Photoshop, but I switch projects using the Recent Projects list in Premiere a LOT more often. I could just use my explorer windows to jump around, but given that I have 5-6 explorer windows open per project most of which are folders crammed with footage, PSD stills and peak files, plus other non-video things I'm working on right now, that's really not the simplest way to navigate at a glance.
How can I get 10, 20 or 25 items in that flyout list instead of mucking about with 5? I run Adobe Production Premium CS6.
For some reason very often in PS CS3 if I go to File > Open Recent it doesn't show me the most recent files.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to the Creative Cloud from CS6. Whenever I load up Premiere CC, it opens the welcome window like always, which normally lists all of my recent projects. But since I've upgraded, my recent projects don't show up on the welcome screen or in the file menu under Open Recent. If I have Premiere open and open several projects during a single session, those will all show up under Open Recent in the File menu. However, as soon as I close Premiere and open it up again, I lose all of my recent projects.
View 30 Replies View RelatedAttached is a zip file with a standalone program to aid in cleaning up the Recent Documents list for all flavors of AutoCAD, 2009-2013.
It's pretty self explanatory, just be sure to run it with no sessions of AutoCAD, or vertical products, running. It should refuse to run if it sees any Acad.exe application in the running tasks list. Once the dialog opens it will show you all of the Autocad related products you have installed, select one and it will fill in the first list of recent documents. Then select a profile for that product and the second list will populate with the SSM related recent documents saved for that profile. You can then select any item from either list, if the same DST filename exists in both lists it will automatically select them both. Use the standard selection methods to select more than one (shift-click, control-click, window).
Be sure to Unblock, if needed, the zip file before extracting the exe file. (Check the file properties)
Two of my users' 2013 Civil 3D's Sheet Set Manager does not show anything in the Recent list even though they have opened a few sheet sets and have worked on drawings from those sheet sets. In other words, they pick on the SSM > Open > and hover on Recent and nothing shows up. Once some sheet sets have been opened, the Recent list does populate during that AutoCAD session, but once AutoCAD is closed, the SSM > Open > Recent list does not populate. Mine works fine and we are using the same profiles.

We use Civil 3D mostly with dwg files and they are usually pushed off the list because of Sheet Set Manager files. Some of these dst's haven't been opened in weeks? But there still at the top of the list....very unproductive when you have to go searching for a dwg file you were just working on.....

View 1 Replies View RelatedI purchased and installed version PSPX4 in Jan. 2012, and started noticing, what appears to be, a duplicate copy of the same file with an Asian type file format in the Recent Doc folder. When I attempt to do a weekly scan of my system for spyware, malware, etc. and weekly clean up of my registry, temp files and other files taking up space, one of my programs finds files listed in the registry under the Recent Doc folder that it cannot clean as the format is not recognized. Even though the properties of the file link the file back to the folder the .jpg file is stored in, there really isn't a file with that format. This is just a reference, and very annoying.

I Think I have the sytax correct, because if I Replace "AppFileSaveAsCmd" with a different command name (i.e. "AppFileNewCmd") it works as expected. I have tried this with "AppFileSaveCmd" and "AppFileSaveCopyAsCmd" and both have also failed. It seems any kind of save command wont work... Photoshop CS5 will not launch either from the desktop or program list. The only way to launch is to log out and restart the computer. At the end of each session I reset the preferences in the Workspace. I am running Win 7 ultimate with 4GB of ram. System is 64 bit . Display is ATI Radeon HD 5700 series. Adapter type is AMD Radeon Graphics Processor (0x68B8). The computer has an Intel(R) series/3400 Chipset Family.
When I installed from the disk I received the message Exit Code 6, 0 fatal errors, 21 errors, 1 warning. I have reinstalled several times and still get the same message. Tried disabling start up items while installing but same message.
I have two uninstallers each for Photoshop CS5 (and Illustrator CS5) showing in OS X Launch Pad after a clean install of OS X 10.7.3 and both Photoshop CS5 (and Illustrator CS5).
System status:
17" MacBook Pro (late 2011), Current Firmware updates installed, 240 GB OWC SSD system drive, 8 GB OEM RAM All current Apple software updates and Adobe software updates have been installed.
Troubleshooting attempted:
Disk permissions have been repaired (via Recovery Disk > Disk Utility). Deleted the .db file at ~/Library/Application Support/Dock followed by running sudo killall Dock command via Terminal and then rebooting.
Note - I had rebooted after installing PS CS5 and AI CS5 prior to running Adobe Update Manager and updating to current versions.
This is probably a really stupid question, but several of my settings dialog boxes aren't showing up. I right click on the buttons at the bottom (at the moment snap and grid show this problem), click on the settings selection so I can modify them, then the autocad window looses windows focus (the bar at the top goes to the pale blue), and I can't do anything in autocad. I hit escape and it goes back to normal.
That looks to me like it is opening the settings window, and my focuse is being set to it, but I don't see it. How do I fix this? Can I reset dialog box starting locations (not like I know how it got moved to a crazy place in the first place, but still)?

I have not been using 3ds Max 2012 because it was so buggy upon it's release, and it appears as though that has not changed. Anyway, my 3ds Max 2012 is completely up to date with SPs, HFs, and Subscription Advantage Pack. This is literally the first time I've tried to use it, and it's already going bad; I would have thought by now AD would have had most of the bugs worked out of it.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI cannot seem to see the custom Printer Profiles I have for certain papersin the Print Dialog.I have added the Print Profiles to Library > Application Support > Adobe > Color > Profiles (and also in Recommended)
But in the Print Dialog under Colour Management > Photoshop Handles Colour > Print Profile - they are not showing. I have done things like restarting Photoshop and converting the image to CMYK from RGB.
I can see the profiles in the Proofing menu and am able to select them.without using the profiles my colour management is completely off kilter.Also, can I confirm that I am putting the printer profiles in the correct folder?
