When I try to use the hand to scroll an image around in the window in PS CS6, it keeps crushing the image down inside the window and letting it spring back to its original size when I let go. How do I stop it from doing this?

I checked my preferences and OpenGL is enabled, so I don't understand why it randomly stops working when I'm trying to get work done. Been working for less than four hours today and have had to restart Photoshop CS5.5 6 times. It starts working for a little while, then the "Scrubby Zoom" box becomes greyed out and the shortcut doesn't work as well.
Also when I hit space (hand tool) to drag the image around, that stops working at the same time as the zoom. I'm using an Intuos4 with this, haven't had problems with it until recently but there haven't been any significant changes in my machine (PC), which has a nice graphics card, processor, etc. I'm using Google Chrome, maybe it has something to do with my browser being open at the same time as PS?
I remember back in 8 or 9 when you could use the scroll mouse to "scroll". But in 11 or 12 it changed to "zoom".there is a way to change it back to scroll?

Firstly, I cant get the reset preferences window to appear, as isntructed, by holding ctrl/alt/shift down and opening the application - I just get the details of the shortcut. tried on the actual.exe file and still dont get the window as described.
secondly, the hand tool does not seem to work? I select it, the 4 options appear in the tool bar above and the little hand Icon, but clicking and dragging on the file in the open window, has no effect, I cant move the file around the window as I supposed to be able to do.
I noticed that when I open the command window with F2, the scroll bar is missing
I suppose there's some new variable in 2013 that has to be set but can't find it
When I try and move a corner of my open document with the hand tool to the center of the document window in CS5 when zoomed out, it stops at the edges and will not move inward any further. It is sometimes more convenient to be able to work on a zoomed in corner of a document when it is centered in the document window. If I go to the rotate tool and set a slight angle, I can then move the document anywhere in the window at any magnification! Is there a setting that is locking the document at the edge of the screen when zoomed out?

The only colors that currently appear are shades of reds/purples and yellows/greens. If I scroll across from left to right the same colors just keep repeating themselves. There are no shades of gray or blue. Can I somehow preset the colors that appear or do I have no control over what colors scroll across the bottom.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have no problem using the hand tool/spacebar to scroll around an image when zoomed into it, but as soon as I can see the whole thing I can't scroll around anymore and its just locked to the center I am a After Effects user so I find this a bit annoying that I can't do this, so I figure there MUST be a setting somewhere I could change to enable it.

The code work fine in the old vision but keep on crushing in the new one . I fixed the references and also move up the search path to the top, but it showing compile errors or runtime errors like the following.
if you ignore that error and run it agin it will go to the next step and show you another errors. after a few rerun it will give the result.I try fix it with an older vision library of autocad 2009 and 2012 both gives an run time error message.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThe other day the hand tool stopped moving the layer that is active. The spacebar still changes the current cursor to the hand tool but when I click and drag nothing moves. I can still select the move tool and move the layer but it's like hitting a speed bump in your work flow.
I've clicked though the PS options but haven't been able to find a "move tool function the way it's supposed to" on/off switch. Could anyone offer any insight?

i have been using the 'move path' function and i can get one layer to scroll but how do i add more layers to the image? i want one text layer to scroll horizontally and then another different text layer to scroll vertically but at the moment i only get one or the other.
Is there an option in GIMP to make a .gif file and animating it so that images scroll?

I am trying to edit an Adjustment Brush in the Develop module.
I want to fine tune the coverage area for the brush.
I can use Ctrl +/- keys to zoom in/out, and the Page Up/Down keys to scroll up and down when zoomed in, but there does not seem to be any way to scroll right and left when zoomed in. The key shortcut lists I've seen don't list anything for scroll left and right. How to scroll the image left and right when zoomed in ?

On returning to LR the last image saved is always at the right hand end of the film strip. You then have to scholl all the way to the left to find your next image to edit. I want to have a gif animation working on a web page - and I want to put a window frame around it so it seems like you are watching the animated image through a window looking into a house. (like a window peeper)
What I need to do is take out the four window pains (or all if I have to) to make the actual pains transparent to show the gif image working.
I am not sure how I can get to superimpose the window frame image OVER the gif image.
When I add a image to my background my background shrinks to the top left hand corner of canvas. I have been trying to do this every night for a week now and held out posting until I gave up. Also when I try to paste an image I get a message saying I don't have enough memory (I have 20 GB of memory free). I tried to find Pleska plugin for adding from file but could not find it.

Is any way to stop the images from filtering?
