I've got an issue where I will be drawing a pline in model space and use the roller on the mouse to zoom out and it automatically switches me to paper space. Is this a Civil3D issue or a mouse issue?

Every time a do a save while working in 3D Realistic view it switches the view to Perspective after the save, and I have to keep changing back.

Even setting the sky background to 1, then 0 doesn't work. When I save, it reverts to a perspective view and turns the sun/sky back on.

When saving (ctrl+s) or switching between layout/model ACAD 2011 changes view to perspective and 3D wireframe. This occurs only in some drawings.

THEN when switching the style of the all to something else, it will make the wall BASELINE justification.. which makes the wall move.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just upgraded to 2013, and there is one "feature" I find kind of distracting. When working in a part, I create a new sketch. When I extrude that sketch, Inventor automatically switches me to an Iso view. I don't want that. I would prefer to stay in the view that I established.
Is there a way to turn that off?
I set a snap for ease of use, e.g. if my intended output scale is 1:50 I will set my snap to 25, this makes drawing lines fast and simple.
When I used the break command in previous versions (I skipped 2011) the break would keep the snap on so I could break either side of a line with a perfect unit gap.
In 2012 when I select the first point it disregards the snap and just puts the break wherever I select on the line meaning the gap is not neat. Is there anyway to put this back the way it was?
When I'm scrolling through my Layout tabs using the arrows on the bottom left of the screen, if I'm scrolling right I have to click the arrow at a certain speed or it gets hung up on one tab and won't scroll any further. If I'm scrolling left, it only lets me scroll as far as the active tab and then it fades both the "left" and "skip to end left" arrows and won't let me scroll at all. And both directions, unless I'm clicking very slowly on the arrows, instead of scrolling it highlights the name of the tab as though I've clicked "Rename".

Civil 3D 2012 has the DumpStyles DU command. What is the opposite? I want to write the exported styles into a fresh drawing. Overwrite options would be spectacular!
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just downloaded SP1 to mi Autocad Civil 3D (spanish), but now when i try to order some objects behind others it shows "Comando BACK no reconocido..." (Command BACK not recognized), i have tried to repaired the installation, reinstalled, unistalled and reinstalled, and the problem stills, so i guess it was the SP1 that change the language pack.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI tried searching for "Slow scroll" and found one topic about scrolling through layers, but not scrolling through the drawing in general.
Problem: When using the mouse to scroll through a drawing with an attached pdf underlay, the motion suddenly gets really choppy, and slow. The PDF is about 3.5 Mb. Its very annoying knowing that my computer should be able to handle it and then some.
Computer: HP Envy 17 Laptop; i7 740 @ 1.73Ghz; 8gb ram, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5850 1gb; Windows 7 64x
Failed Solutions: Hardware Accelerator on and off; Played around with performance settings.
When I click in my layer control and type in a "letter" to quickly scroll to that part of the alphabet, it changes my current layer to the first laser alphabetically with that certain letter. Is there a way to turn this off? If i am just looking at layers, I don't want autocad to change my current layer.
View 9 Replies View RelatedNoticed the 2013 text screen? Noticed how it's not showing its scroll-bar(s) ... well that's only 50% true. The vertical is only hidden - move the mouse over it and it appears.
But what happens if you want to read something which is too long for a line? Say you've listed the DXF codes of something by using the lisp entget function?
Previously if the line was too long it would get wrapped (wrapped to short yes, but at least readable). Now that line does not wrap in the text screen, but there's also no horizontal scroll bar so you can "pan" right to see the rest of the line. The only place I can see that is in the command palette.
No command will work from the Ribbon. I've changed workspaces and tried a backup CUI file. Is my system corrupt or is there some setting that displays the ribbon, but disables the commands within it?

I imagine this is a customization file issue?
I have some dimensions and mleaders that are in paperspace that I want to put in model space. When I use the CHSPACE command, the mleaders will switch, but the dimensions will not. Is there a reason dimensions cannot switch space? This is in Civil 3D 2010.
View 5 Replies View RelatedAny issues when copying certain object within my drawing from one part of the drawing to another, after selecting the objects I want to copy, I select the destination point and I cannot see any of the objects that I am copying, the command stops working and then I cannot see any objects in my drawing at all....its like I am zoomed out all the way and nothing is in my drawing...I save the drawing as is (seeing nothing on my screen)...calling it up again and all my linework, etc. is there again...it has happened in two different drawings so far within the last few months, and these dwgs. are not linked to each other at all....

Who knows what I should have done after the first or the second message?
Since the AeccLandFeatureline object doesn't have an offset method, how is this done? All I can think of is to convert the F/L to a LWPolyline, offset the polyline, create a new F/L from the offset polyline, set the new F/L elevations using the SetElevationsFromOffsetSource() method, and finally raise/lower the new F/L using the RaiseFeatureline() method.
