Jan 17, 2013Civil 3D 2012 has the DumpStyles DU command. What is the opposite? I want to write the exported styles into a fresh drawing. Overwrite options would be spectacular!

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Transparent Command
Apr 16, 2012I have not used Transparent Commands in a LONG time. I'm working in Civil 3D 2012 now. Where are the Transparent Commands?
I would like to dock a toolbar of all the Transparent Commands so they are easily accessible no matter where I have navigated to in the Ribbon.
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Command Not Recognized After SP1?
Jan 15, 2013I just downloaded SP1 to mi Autocad Civil 3D (spanish), but now when i try to order some objects behind others it shows "Comando BACK no reconocido..." (Command BACK not recognized), i have tried to repaired the installation, reinstalled, unistalled and reinstalled, and the problem stills, so i guess it was the SP1 that change the language pack.

Feb 24, 2012No command will work from the Ribbon. I've changed workspaces and tried a backup CUI file. Is my system corrupt or is there some setting that displays the ribbon, but disables the commands within it?

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Change Space Command
Feb 1, 2011I have some dimensions and mleaders that are in paperspace that I want to put in model space. When I use the CHSPACE command, the mleaders will switch, but the dimensions will not. Is there a reason dimensions cannot switch space? This is in Civil 3D 2010.

Jul 8, 2013Any issues when copying certain object within my drawing from one part of the drawing to another, after selecting the objects I want to copy, I select the destination point and I cannot see any of the objects that I am copying, the command stops working and then I cannot see any objects in my drawing at all....its like I am zoomed out all the way and nothing is in my drawing...I save the drawing as is (seeing nothing on my screen)...calling it up again and all my linework, etc. is there again...it has happened in two different drawings so far within the last few months, and these dwgs. are not linked to each other at all....

Nov 11, 2011Since the AeccLandFeatureline object doesn't have an offset method, how is this done? All I can think of is to convert the F/L to a LWPolyline, offset the polyline, create a new F/L from the offset polyline, set the new F/L elevations using the SetElevationsFromOffsetSource() method, and finally raise/lower the new F/L using the RaiseFeatureline() method.

Apr 4, 2008How or where do you set the default value under the Edit Command Settings for, say, AddContourLabeling? Right now it is saying that I'm overriding the default to our company standard, but I want the default to be the company standard not the "Standard" style. This goes for all command settings. Nov 28, 2012When I first created my surface model, any point I moved would snap back to its original position like a rubber band. I had to do some edits so I unlocked this by .... Survey Tab>My survey database>Survey Points>Points, and then picked "Unlock In Drawing". This command unlocked All points in the drawing so I could edit them.
Now that I am done with my edits, how do I reverse this command globally, so as to get ALL points locked again (so they snap back to their original position like a rubber band if moved, like before) ?

Aug 8, 2013With Autocad 2013 we have found an unconsistant problem with overwriting PDF files with same name. This only happens with publish command (ie, can just plot 1 layout to pdf and overwrite no problem). The funny thing is, it doesn't happen all the time - just 50% of the files (and yes, the file is not in use when attempting to overwrite).

So, effectively, if I want to place the objects in exactly the same spot where they are in the xref, I have to try and eyeball it, or take the additional step of moving them into place, which is becoming very time consuming.

Jun 11, 2012I have the command line in the upper left corner as a floating window which auto hides. Its not clickable, dragable, nothing. If i reduce the C3D window it is still locked to the top left corner of the screen on top of the windows desktop.
COMMANDLINEHIDE doesn´t refresh the situation. I just want my commandline back on the bottom.
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Escape Key And Cancel Command Not Working?
Oct 7, 2010Yesterday I was cruising along as normal when all of the sudden my escape key stopped working. I believe it happened after I accidentally loaded the dbconnection manager or something similar but not sure. When I envoke a command, the escape key does nothing. When I select something and hit the escape key, it doesn't deselect everything. I know it's not my keyboard because I'm using a laptop and both the attached keyboard and the keyboard on the laptop function the same in that the escape key doesn't work. I also have a Logitech Performance MX with a button set as the escape command and that doesn't work. When I type in cancel or ^c^c, the response is "unknown command".

Jul 13, 2012My command line is partially off the screen as shown in the attachments below. It started doing this after a reboot this morning. I can't drag it, select it, or find a way to move it in any way. I tried changing the resolution of my monitor thinking it might "bump" it back on the screen. I'm probably missing something easy but I can't seem to make any difference.

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Cannot Find Scale Command For Alignments
Jul 9, 2012I'm trying to create an alignment for a road I'm drafting but the alignment seems to be scaled differently and I can't find any scale command for alignments. I know that the dimensions of the model space are correct but the alignment dimensions are scaled down by a factor of 12 (I'm assuming it converted my feet to inches).
Ex: say my road is 100 Ft long and when I measure it in Model (using the AREA--> OBJECT command on my centerline of the road) it measures to 100 Ft but when I create an alignment for it the alignment tells me the road is only 8.33 Ft.
