Dec 6, 2010When saving (ctrl+s) or switching between layout/model ACAD 2011 changes view to perspective and 3D wireframe. This occurs only in some drawings.

AutoCAD 2013 :: When Saving Switches To Perspective View
Mar 21, 2013On some 3D models, when I save the drawing, it automatically switches to perspective view and turns the sky background on. This is irritating.
I found this old thread in the AutoCAD Architecture area from 2010

Even setting the sky background to 1, then 0 doesn't work. When I save, it reverts to a perspective view and turns the sun/sky back on.

Jun 21, 2011I have Autocad Architecture 2011 and it was working perfect until Yesterday. I Repair and then Reinstall but still the same problem.
When I have a Parellel (isometric) View and transfer to perspective works well but when I exit from the orbit function everything disappear and the cursor become crazy. I push pan and appears the drawing I release pan and the drawing disappear. The same problem in a viewport. I setup the perspective view on the viewport, lock the v-port, save and close the drawing, then open the same drawing and the perspective view become Isometric.

Nov 7, 2012Autocad 2013 (64 bit win 7) when selecting a migrated wall style (wall style used in previous version of acad) it shows in properties that it is BASELINE, tho clearly on screen the grips show a left or right justification... THEN when switching the style of the all to something else, it will make the wall BASELINE justification.. which makes the wall move.

Oct 3, 2012I have just upgraded to 2013, and there is one "feature" I find kind of distracting. When working in a part, I create a new sketch. When I extrude that sketch, Inventor automatically switches me to an Iso view. I don't want that. I would prefer to stay in the view that I established.
Is there a way to turn that off?

Well, during the load into current project, the view switches from Level 1 New (the active view before the family load) to Level 1 Existing, the first view in the project. I'm trying to get my shadows to line up and hit certain points, and it would be a lot easier if I could adjust it from the perspective of the light, similar to a camera view (hmmm, maybe I'll just set up a camera).
Just want to now if that option is out there and available.
AutoCAD Architecture :: Display Glitch In Realistic With Perspective On
Dec 8, 2012using lenovo w520 with a 2 gig quadro 1000m win7 pro, a drawing file for a small cottage started to show hiding artifacts in most planes similar to when two items are drawn in the same place. ie, small triangles along the edges, and blotches of colour throughout the planes. however, only one entity was in each place.
I tried auditing the drawing, purging, rebooting, but nothing would fix this artifact issue. xreffed drawings in this file would have the problem inside the file (ie as an xref), but the original drawings did not. if I switched to parallel view, the problem went away.
as a fix, I copied everything to a new drawing, renamed the old one to a dead file, and renamed the new drawing to the original. this new file does not have the problem! is there some better, easier, faster, method to avoid this issue? and/or, did the drawing somehow get a setting that is not readily apparent and that could be easily reset? as a background issue, ACA died the last time I was in it, when I went out to Sketchup 8 and imported a dwg file. ACA died after about 5 minutes of sitting on its own. so, the file could maybe possibly have been silently corrupted by ACA when it croaked.

Jun 13, 2012I am having a problem with a view being shown rendered.
I have a tall piece of material handling equipment that is drawn to scale and is approximately 30' tall. When I render the view and take a shot of it, it looks angled based on the camera angle, when in reality it should appear straight (see attached picture).
How do I get this to look correctly?

Nov 30, 2012I've struggled with the old issue of shifting images in rotated viewports. We use georeferenced aerial photography by way of these images inserted into their own drawing and then Xreffed into another drawing for printing. The issue is, the image appears shifted in some viewports. Most of the time it prints fine but not always. I searched the discussion groups and found a post a few years ago that a reply user stumbled across a quasi workaround. When the view command's Perspective is turned on and then off within the viewport, the image appears to be locked in it's correct position, not shifted. I have successfully used this procedure several times over the years until now. I have half a dozen drawings that when I turn the Perspective on and then off in a viewport, the image will not display. The xref is loaded and the layer is turned on in the viewport but the image doesn't show. What is the perspective portion of the view command within a viewport?

Jul 25, 2013After setting up a scene with a JBL lighting environment, I changed from orthogonal to perspective view for rendering.
Funnily I was not able to zoom in with perspective view activated. Zooming slows down and finally comes completely to halt. Switching back to orthogonal the camera jumps right into the object. Changing back I see everithing from a distance.
Is this normal or is this an error. I can´t remember if this happened before.

Dec 26, 2013I am working on 3d model of interior and I have two problems. I am trying to made similar model as it is on the first image.
After setting all render properties and turning on sky and illuminations my view on object switch from isometric to perspective view.
Is there any way to change it to isometric view so the point of view do not change position at the time of changing, because I find out the way to return it to isometric but then the point of view that was placed inside of room is moved outside and I can't render object that was inside.
Also I can't set white background as it is on the first image. Second image is my attempt that is made inside of the room.

Sep 21, 2011I have never gotten this to work, but had put little effort into it until recently. Thus far I have checked my project standards to make sure "match sheet views to view" is checked to "yes".
In both View drawing and the sheet- VISRETAIN is set to 1.
the VPLAYEROVERRIDESMODE is set to 1
I am working on drawings that are in my current project through project navigator. I am using ACA 2010 and not sure what else I need to do. I turn off all the unwanted layers in the view drawing, then create a sheet and xref in the view to model space- all the layers reset, and I again have to turn off all the unwanted layers. If I change a layer color in the view drawing, it does not change in the sheet drawing upon save and refresh.
I hate wasting time repeating the same task over and over....

Mar 26, 2012i draw up all of my walls, i connect them properly, cleanup etc. then i want to trim them with my roof slabs and what i see? i see my walls suddenly dissappear in 3d view but are still correctly shown on plan view? i know it has something to do with roofline because when i tried to project them automatically to ontu my roof slabs the walls dissappeared too!

Apr 23, 2011I've been using maya since 8.5 and there's a notorius bug that will probably be never addressed by maya developers. I just upgraded to 2012 and am getting this again: // Warning: Could not find an appropriate startup camera: side. A substitute will be used.
And i took all the preventive actions: window size and position are not saved with file, i always go back to four view before saving, etc. Still no joy.
In fact the side camera is not missing, it's right there and fully functional. What happens as a consequence of this error is that one of the rotation axes in perspective view are locked, i can't rotate my scene around the Y axis.
It doesn't work either if i export my object and import it back into a fresh scene. Axis remains locked. I'm losing my scenes that i've put insane amount of work into. No hope to restore them.
Illustrator :: Any Way To View Internal Lines Of Perspective Grid?
Dec 5, 2012It would be very beneficial to view all of the internal lines of the sectioned rectangular prism that the perspective grid consists of. This is a standard workflow for drawing 3 dimensional objects. Without this, it is very difficult to draw accurately.
