I am running Civil 3D 2012 and my Hydraflow crashes everytime I run an analysis. I am using a known Q and have input pipe inverts/slopes and pipe sizes. Everytime I try running an analysis I get the following message: Line 1, 2, 3 has no flow. Check pipe size(s) and slope(s). Then the program closes up.
View 1 RepliesAutoCAD C3D 2012 has been crashing nonstop over the past 3 days on me whenever I try to "Create a Feature Line from Object". I know that it is a localized problem as a co-worker has been in the same drawing and done grading work without any problems. The error has occurred in multiple drawings.

My program crashes when attempting to edit a pipe network. specifically when trying to draw a pipe the program crashes the instant I select the second point to place the pipe.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI installed x4 the other day and it appeared to work fine. I have a Sony HD camcorder that I believe is AVCHD. I have been using and importing clips from this camera. I got the notice that an update was available and I updated the program. Since then, every time I try to edit a movie it constantly crashes. I try to import some music, it crashes. I came to the conclusion that it was the update causing it so I restored my computer to the day before I updated. It still crashes.
View 14 Replies View RelatedNew user for civil 3d and the hydraflow extension for civil 3d. I have my pipe network created, all the correct catchments are attached to the correct basin/inlet. i have opened my network in hydraflow and am ready to run it. when I click run it says no flow. Now I know there is another step i need to set my flow wth TOC, I've inputted that, i am using the standard idf curve hydraflow, i have the areas with their coefficients, however it is not calculating my flow rather it is telling me no flow is inputted for certain lines i.e. the ones with MH connections and no inlets.
I have attached my .stm file to this thread, i changed the extension so it would post, just delete the .doc from the extension and it should work in your hydraflow.
I opened Hydraflow Sewer Extensions and created a project. I was able to save it and open repeatedly without problems. I opened open project dialogue window here I copied and renamed a copy of the project file. When I tried to open either the original file or the renamed version - Hydraglow shuts down. The project file has attached dxf file as abackground. (see attached). I hate to lose a day of data entering given my tight deadlines.
View 3 Replies View RelatedPhotoshop CS6 is extremely unstable for me when I try and do any 3D editing. It crashes when I try to move, scale, and otherwise orient the object. It crashes when I try to do Snap to Ground Plane. When it doesn't crash at Snap to Ground Plane, the command doesn't work and nothing snaps to the ground plane.
Here's a 1 minute video of it crashing. The first part shows that I've already defined the ground plane. The second part shows me wanting to put a peice of furniture into the room and finding the Snap to Ground Plane option. When I click it, the program crashes.

I already have the latest drivers for my HD 5650, and I can't upgrade my video card because it's a laptop.
Any options short of spending $1000+ to get a new video card?

I can't seem to confirm the discharge table that hydraflow produces in hydraflow hydragraphs. I think I understand the equation itself (it's been a while since I took hydraulics), but can't understand where I'm making my error (if I am). Normally I trust the stage/discharge curve that hydraflow produces, but the City Engineer is asking me to confirm the values by hand and show them on the plans. Is there a link to an detention pond example that shows how a curve (the outflow values) was generated (confirms the discharge table at various elevations)? The equation is on page 85 of the users manual.

our photoshop cs6 (with latest update to 13.0.4) keeps crashing daily and is not stable at all. so we would work with cs 5 again, as this version is very stable and wont crash even once in a year.
we are daily/"9-5" working at a photographers´ studio and use 2 different macs:
- brand new mac pro 6-core (2010/Westmere) with 48GB RAM under system 10.8.3
- old mac pro with Two 2.66 GHz Dual-core Intel Xeon "Woodcrest" from 2006 with 16GB RAM under system 10.7.6
(both with standard equipped/shipped graphics cards)
cs6 crashes daily whith following tasks:
- frequent crashs: using "motion blur"
- frequent crashs: using "refine edge"
- sometimes using "transform tool"
during our tests, we found out, that "disable graphics card" (photoshop>settings>performance) in the mac pro from 2006, would prevent a crash, when using "refine edge". in the latest mac pro from 2010, we did not find any solution to prevent a crash.
a "crash", we define as follows: during the mentioned tasks, photoshop is gone from the screen in the blink of second, and an osx sign appears "photoshop has crashed"..
running win7 pro..had to move to this to support canon 5dmkiii raw files...tried everything to figure it out but just dies

View 1 Replies View Relatedone would think that you could just export the .stm file into hydraflow, make some changes, and import, and all would be fine. when i export, all of the structures in hydraflow come up as drop curb. how can they come in as what they actually are.. aka, when the part i use is a 2x4 box, it should come into hydraflow as a "grate inlet", or a st-mh will come in as a "manhole".
and then likewise, when the changes are made, and its brought back into autocad, they all come in as a "standard" style. except the outfalls, which show as a "standard" style, but come in with a different block, and get a whole new label (outfal - x)
When I try to run my hydrographs through a pond I get an error stating something to the effect of: Outflow greater than Inflow on Hydrograph 6 for the 50-yr storm.
How can the outflow be greater than what is flowing into it? How the program can calculate this.
We are seeming ot have problems with a few of our engineers having the Microsoft Office product go to "Not Responding" and then closing while working in Hydraflow & Hydrographs. This has been with Outlook, Word and Excel. All workstations are 64 bit systems with 16 gig of Ram Windows 7 and Civil 3D 2012 SP2.1.

The problem is when I update the storm network, All the outlets are added as new structures. It does not update the existing headwall / end sections.
I then have to go thru and delete the added (null) outlet structure. Then, reattach the existing outlets to the pipe network to show up in the structure data table correctly.
I've got a project where the match line labels constantly reset to the left and right of the match line itself even though I've set it to be middle. I didn't have this problem with 2013 or earlier, so is it a possible bug?

I have a brand new HP Probook 4530s with the correct requirements to run LT 2012 as well as a certified and tested graphics card and latest drivers, but as soon as I try using offset or trim functions while drawing, my screen goes blank for about 4 seconds and an error message below tells me my Display Driver has stopped working and has recovered.
No matter the screen resolution settings, it still does the same, also the laptop is still cool, so can't be a heat issue.
My work helpdesk has recently installed AutoCad 2012 and my co worker and I noticed that at the start up its loads very slowly and often when we double click on a DWG to open (without Autocad being already open) it crashes.
View 2 Replies View Relatedwhy our copies of AutoCAD MEP 2012 seem to hang when loading the default dwt files? On the splash screen it details all the files being loaded and when it gets to the dwt file it just hangs at 0%. In the windows task manager, acad.exe stops using memory (around 90megs) and the cpu stops too. It's get's really frustrating, especially as it only seems to affect our new Dell Optiplex's and a couple of our old Dell Precisions. Some of them work first time every time, no probs. All PC's are Windows 7 Pro 64bit and running the latest service packs for AutoCAD.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWe are running Autocad 2012 on Windows 7 and printing to an HP5200 via server mapping in three different labs.
Had a similar problem before and changed the printer drivers from Universal back to PCL5. Since Christmas however this problem seems to have come back. We haven't changed anything. Wondering if maybe there were patches or something that affected this?? When we preview or send a print job Autocad just greys out and crashes. I do know that if we configure the computer to print via TCPIP it also works fine but this is not ideal with the number of computers and students we have.
Another thing we seemed to have noticed is that we don't have this problem with all printers but more oddly we noticed that when we change the default template some templates work and some don't.
By default we are set up to use the acadiso template as we are using the metric system - we can't get anything to plot using this. If we start with the standard acad template we do not have this problem. We have tried plotting a simple circle or a more complex drawing with the same result. The sample files plot fine but I'm guessing they were likely not done in metric...
I frequently have AutoCAD LT crash on me when I close a file. It seems to happen most after I have plotted the drawing.
View 9 Replies View RelatedEvery time we have the file dialog boxes open and try renaming or any other explore action beyond changing folder location and hitting the save button AutoCAD LT will hang and crash. We have tried starting the file operation and then just canceling and it does the same exact thing. What happens most of the time is the user will be working on a file and need to save it. They click save as and will go into the folder and right click and rename an existing file to a backup name and then hit save. It proceeds to crash instantly and the document doesn't get saved. It doesn't seem to matter the name of the file or folders or if it is a rename or delete operation. It seems to be related to bring up the explorer options within AutoCad honestly. All of our computers do the same thing.
