I have a number of custom Toolbars from ACA 2009 that I would like to convert to Panels in ACA 2010. I created a new Panel that is listed in the CUI but does not appear on the Ribbon anywhere. what windows to use in the CUI, and when to drag info from one to another.
View 3 RepliesI recently started working with Illustrator CS6, and noticed that the Transform option panel in the top tool bar is listed as a word, which i need to click on in order to access the x/y coordinates and the object height and width values. I was wondering if there was a way to set this toolbar so that these options are locked in the tool bar so that i don't need to always click on the word to expand it out. I have included a screenshot of the tool bar as it exists. Also the align options are set up in this way as well.
I also included a screenshot of the same tools in Indesign to give an idea of what i'm looking for, where everything is expanded out.
When I open Illustrator CS6 on my Mac/10.7, there are two toolbars locked up top, which is fine. I want to dock my illustrator window to those like I can in InDesign. How do I do that?

We use ACA2009.
Every time I try to move a panel or toolbar the app freezes and I have to close, it worked fine in the beginning.

They seem to have the same problem as what I have. I do run as admin.
Is it possible to increase the size of the toolbar/control panel icons. I find my self craning at the screen whilst I'm getting familiar with AI cs6.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've finally made the jump from ACA2008 to ACA2011..I'm slowly getting used to the Ribbon, but there's something from 2008 I dearly miss: the Properties Toolbar . Now, I may just be missing something in 2011, so I thought I'd post to find out...
With the Prop Toolbar I could select anything on screen (whether an entity, object, text, dimension, whatever...) and just look up at that toolbar to know what color & linetype that selection was. I strategically placed this toolbar above the Layer Properties Toolbar so I could add layer identification to said selections.... Well with 2011, if I select something, I have to make sure to click on the Home Tab to see the Layers Ribbon. If I want to see the properties, I have to open up the properties window. Plus, the window needs to be pulled out wide enough for me so see the linetypes. It's adding steps that I don't need. Is there a way to add the properties dialog box to the ribbon above or something?
I have downloaded ARCH 2011 (Student Version) several times and the Quick Access Toolbar does not appear above the ribbon. The ribbon tabs are also incomplete.
SHOWING ONLY - HOME, INSERT, ANNOTATE, VIEW and MANAGE.
How do I activate the Q. A. Toolbar? And why are my ribbon tabs incomplete?
Recently I installed ACA2013 on a new Windows 8 64 proffesional laptop.
Installed ACA 2013 and the SP2.
But my quick access toolbar is completly white. If I stay over the toolbar the tips show up and when I click them they function. But I cannot see what I click on!
I already tried reinstalling ACA2013, but nothing works.
I am trying to get TOOLS and the object snap toolbar up but my menu bar only has FILE WINDOW.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOur office recently upgraded from AutoCAD 2005 to the new version AutoCAD Architecture 2013. I’m having difficulty finding the layer override toolbar for the lines. I have found that I can change the color and/or line type of an line in the properties dialog box but in AutoCAD 2005 there was a toolbar specifically assigned for the color, line type and line weight of a line. Dose that toolbar still exist in 2013 or do they control this in another location.

The laser can be set to fire using a combination of Alt, Shift or Control keys plus a number or letter. I arbitrarily set it up as "Alt 1". My old tablet had a mechanical button that I easily assigned this function. For my new setup, I need this button on the ribbon but I can't figure out what Macro text format is the same as pressing "Alt 1".

When editing a hatched area the panel appears. Why when I stretch some hatched geometry does not the adjacent hatch stretch with it?
What's the best way to change the primary command on a ribbon panel? I want to set Pline as the primary command on the draw panel as it is currently line. I've managed to get it to work (sort off) but shouldn't it as simple as right click "set as primary command"?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've tried to figure out the pattern of how the command works for inputting partial customization menu toolbar names but I'm unsuccessful.
You should be able to show and hide partial customization menu toolbars with the -toolbar command because it can hide all toolbars including my partial customization menu toolbars currently shown. I've tried the toolbar menu alias (defined in the CUI command) and the name (refer to this link to the same image embedded below) and none work.
I can convert the dwg to a bitmap, but the problem is when I select the object to convert the viewport is also displayed. If I do not activate model space, to select object, then nothing is displayed but viewport. Am I missing a step?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having an issue where I can't convert spot colors to CMYK in the swatches panel. Currently to fix I have to copy elements using the spot colors in to a new blank document, then convert them, then paste back into the original document.
Also if I try to delete the spot color, it doesn't fully delete the swatch.

In Revit there is a tool to convert lines to walls including lines of an xrefed AutoCAD file. Is this feature available in ACA?

Are there any common tools specialized on this issue?
Or would it make sense to build for e.g. a VBA tool to support the CAD technician for repetitive tasks, like extrusions, in order to goal 3D, without having to draw everything (new) from scratch.
I am looking for furniture content for renderings. I find some in Autodesk Seek. Most of the items are autocad 3d . It looks like they are built with surfaces. I want to make them usuable in 3d models in Autocad for architecture. I would like them to be easily accessible from the tool palletes. They seem similar to the ones that come from Archidigm. How do I drag and drop these 3d models into the tool pallette - I tried to first convert them into a blcok , but that did not work. Where can I find good furniture content, ready to drop into tool palllettes for ACA?
