AutoCAD 2013 :: Convert Ribbon Menu Items Into Classic Workspace?
Nov 13, 2012i having a fully working ribbon in ACAD2013. it is a registered dll that is originally coded in vb.net.
unfortunatley the functionality is only visible at the drafting & annotation workspace but is desperatly needed in classic workspace mode.
for hours i am trying to find a way to make my functionality working in classic workspace too.
is it possible to extend the classic workspace in acad2013 with my functions? if so, how, or where can i get more detailed information to solve my task.

Aug 23, 2012recently i have installed autocad 2011 in my pc. but some toolbars are missing like layer,draw line,multiline,polyline rectangle ( which are the usual feature of classic autocad 2004 or 2007). how i will find the classic toolbars in autocad 2011.

Feb 24, 2012How to convert the “existing” hatch from one measurement to another?
In the screenshot below, the first hatch is drawn with “measurement” = 1 (metric), while the second is drawn when the measurement = 0 (imperial). The “measurement” value is not a property for the hatch!
Then how to convert the hatch that already exist and drawn with the “measurement” = 0 to the “measurement” = 1.
In other words, how to switch all the hatches in a particular plan from being “imperial” based (measurement = 0) to “metric” (measurement = 1)?
Is there a way to do that? Or should we delete the existing hatches and re-draw them with the required setting (metric/imperial)?

Jul 27, 2012I have created a VBA program (form with options) that modifies our parts list and saves the information to a text file for use by our purchasing dept. software. I need to be able to run this program on multiple IDW files whenever I have them open and whenever I need. How can I place it on the toolbar (ribbon) for easy access across any open file.
As of now the only I see is to export the form,, then import it to every IDW file, there has to be an easier way.
AutoCAD 2010 :: Switching Out Of XREF Classic?
Sep 11, 2012I am using autocad arch 64 bit on win 7 and am having problems switching out of xref classic so that the newer xref dialog comes up. i edited the SDI but then i cant close a drawing and opening creates more problems.
is there a way to get the xref dialog back?

Jun 13, 2011I recently upgraded from 2007 to 2012 and the entire look and feel of the program is different. Like Microsoft, AutoCad has "upgraded" everything so overnight i have managed to go from marginally competent to totally inept!
I really really would like to know if it is possible to switch back to the classic view with the old tool bars and commands.

Aug 9, 2012Is it possible with the hatch command to be able to select objects first instead of picking an internal point?I looked at this thread first which covers the same problem but not sure if there ever was a solution. URL....
HPDLGMODE is currently set to 2, I tried setting it back to 1 but that brings up the hatch popup window as it does in Classic mode and 0 does the same thing as 2.

Jun 6, 2012I have a type layer with some text in it (a headline, let's say). I click on the layer, I click on the Character Panel, and first thing I see is the color in the Panel is not the color of the font in the layer.
I then click on any Panel property, and the text in this layer is replaced by text from another layer in my document ( a paragraph layer, let's say), but the color is not the same as the layer the text came from.

Oct 2, 2013Problem: I need to be able to control the size of toolbars (ICON size) via the worspace.
More Details: There is a department in our company that has a very specific function they need to perform in our ACAD drawings.
I created ONE toolbar that has the commands they need and set this toolbar to be the only thing that is displayed in their workspace.
Since it is just one toolbar I thought it would be good for the tool bar to use the large icon setting. But I only need to it to change when when using this one workspace.Other workspaces need to use small icons.
Is there a way to control the icon sizes when switching between workspaces?
