I installed AutoCAD 2012 on a 32 bit windows 7 workstation but I received an error message."Cannot find acad.cuix customizastion file".I tried repairing the installation but it couldnt..I tried unistalling but won't uninstall..The machine was running previous versions of AutoCAD.

I got 2009/2011 to work, but when i try to get 2010 to work, it just doesnt want to cooperate. Now when i used to start it up a proxy graphics thing would pop up, and i figured out how to turn that off, but then no ribbon loads.
So i go to the command line and type in ribbon, and i get an error:

I use classic interface in Autocad. After minor modifications in menu of 2014 version, window list disappeared from menu bar. See picture below:

I have successfully created the ribbon tab in Autocad2010 and its load on start up of Autocad. When i change my workspace my ribbon tab disappear is there any way i can make my tab available in all workspaces.
I am not using CUI Customization.
A friend updated his 2013 AutoCAD software to 2014 and now his ribbon and workspaces(custom and default) have disappeared in his 2013 version

we cannot afford giant size monitors. An average AEC firm would have a 23 inch monitor or 21 inches. Now almost all the monitors are 16:9. So already the height of the monitor is reduced when compared to the 4:3 monitor.With the Ribbon Interface, the height of the drawing space becomes even less. Of course the ribbon can be minimized etc. but it is a nuisance revoking it and minimizing again. the 2008 version IMHO had a better interface with dashboards which occupied the vertical space on the right side. This way the height of the drawing space is not affected. It used to be a good interface - why change this into Ribbon mimicking MS Office for a CAD program?
I know that you could still have the Classic interface - but you lose the convenience of the ribbon. Frankly, I am a "command line only" person. But I would like to get used to the Ribbon also. Only at this point of time it started to irritate me the small height of the drawing space.
By very huge monitors? or may be you are using highly advanced models where you have a choice for a 4:3 format? I am struggling. I would like to use AutoCAD the way the rest of the world uses - though I am very fast in command line and know by heart most of the commands & shortcut keys. Sometimes i work in FullScreen mode.
i opened inventor pro 2012 and my interface is different and my ribbon is missing. i tried restarting a number of times with no change. I tried a repair with no change. I might try a reinstall.

When I created our custom profile ".arg" file, with two custom workspaces along with the OTB workspaces. I set the Auto Publish Settings to publish to PDF on Exit. With 50+ users, each can create thier own workspace for thier liking.
I have some users that like the feature, and others that do not. The ones that do not like the feature, want to turn the feature off.
So the question is if, under each individual workspace, we uncheck the Auto Publish feature, then save that workspace, is the feature turn off for JUST that workspace? Or does it cut the feature off for all workspaces?

I recently upgraded from 2007 to 2012 and the entire look and feel of the program is different. Like Microsoft, AutoCad has "upgraded" everything so overnight i have managed to go from marginally competent to totally inept!
I really really would like to know if it is possible to switch back to the classic view with the old tool bars and commands.

HPDLGMODE is currently set to 2, I tried setting it back to 1 but that brings up the hatch popup window as it does in Classic mode and 0 does the same thing as 2.

I have a cuix setup as an enterprise menu. The drop-down menu loads up fine in my workspace. However, when i go to customize the workspace, and add the ribbon portion of the cuix, it fails to load it. The same enterprise menu loads fine in AutoCAD 2011.

I used the transfer feature in the cui environment to get everything I wanted. I go to 2d environment to check that everything is there and it appears to be there. I load my cui and I get my icons and menus but no ribbon. I have a big message that says, "The Ribbon does not have any tabs or panels currently loaded." I type ribbon to load, but nothing.
I've now messed with this enough that even with the base acad.cuix file I still don't have the ribbons.
