View 9 RepliesI have successfully created the ribbon tab in Autocad2010 and its load on start up of Autocad. When i change my workspace my ribbon tab disappear is there any way i can make my tab available in all workspaces.
I am not using CUI Customization.
I installed AutoCAD 2012 on a 32 bit windows 7 workstation but I received an error message."Cannot find acad.cuix customizastion file".I tried repairing the installation but it couldnt..I tried unistalling but won't uninstall..The machine was running previous versions of AutoCAD.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to incorporate my menus and toolbars into the ribbon environment. I skipped acad 09 so this hasn't been fun. I used the transfer feature in the cui environment to get everything I wanted. I go to 2d environment to check that everything is there and it appears to be there. I load my cui and I get my icons and menus but no ribbon. I have a big message that says, "The Ribbon does not have any tabs or panels currently loaded." I type ribbon to load, but nothing.
I've now messed with this enough that even with the base acad.cuix file I still don't have the ribbons.
I don't know what I did but all the sudden my ribbons are gone, and after a day of research I found that I can type in RIBBON and it will appear. The only problem is I cannot find a solution docking the ribbon horizontally as it was when my program was installed.
is there a 1800 # for questions or just discussion groups?
When I click on the arrow on the Menu Line the show ribbon choice is "greyed out" How can I fix this to display ribbon when I open ACA 2010.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI installed LT 2013 in November and recently have noticed that the ribbon is masked or overwritten by the banner of my web browser. This only happens when the browser is open and full-sized. If I close or downsize the browser the problem goes away.
If I hover the cursor over the ribbon area the various tools appear, sometimes individually sometimes the entire panel, but never the entire ribbon.
I am using the Windows version of LT with FusionWare on a Mac Pro. Since I only use the Windows platform for Autocad I can't say whether or not this would happen in other programs.
As of just a few hours ago, certain commands have disappeared from my ribbon. Example: when modifiying wall, i get no options for lines, same issue for modifiying floor shapes, i can get to the edit mode, but then i essentially have no options after that. Also, the check or the reject changes option has disaapeared.....meaning the only way out of the command is to undo. This literally has just occured within the last couple of hours. I tried resetting the ribbon, but nothing really happened exect locational changes.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to customize Autocad 2012 ribbon tab. I can't seem to find how to mimic the small arrow that appears in several of the standard menus. For example, in the 3D Solids - Home Tab, the second panel from the left is "3D Solids Home - Mesh" It has a small arrow in the corner that opens up a preferences dialogue box.
How can I add that arrow to a custom panel with that little arrow so that I can add my command to it?
Where are the bits of the Ribbon API to add a slide out to a ribbon panel?
Autodesk.Windows.RibbonControl ribbonControl = Autodesk.Windows.ComponentManager.Ribbon; RibbonTab Tab = new RibbonTab(); ribbonControl.Tabs.Add(Tab); // create Ribbon panels Autodesk.Windows.RibbonPanelSource panel1Panel = new RibbonPanelSource(); panel1Panel.Title = "Panel1"; RibbonPanel Panel1 = new RibbonPanel(); Panel1.Source = panel1Panel; Tab.Panels.Add(Panel1);
I saw some source that hinted you could use panel1Panel.AddSlideout() but in the search I do not see any Ribbon API that allows for any slideout functionality?Do you *have* to use the CUI API for this?
We would like to have everyones workspaces on each computer. So if I have a problem with my computer and Bob is gone, then I can work on Bob's computer with my workspace. Then Bob can come back and switch back to his workspace.
Where do I find the workspace, so I can copy it to the other computers?
I have been asked to do a workshop away from our offices and have been issued with a laptop.
My only issue is that I would like to copy all my settings, workspaces (including toolbars), plotter settings and drawing template files (.dwt) files from my desktop to the laptop.
I tried to create a new workspace, and it was sort of working where I could switch between my custom workspace and the original 2 or 3 Autocad workspaces. Then I think I loaded a menu and the other (original work spaces) have disapeared. How to restore these without doing a re-install?
View 2 Replies View RelatedEvery time I switch from my "Civil3d" workspace to "3D Modeling" and back again, all my toolbars disappear. Not the end of the world but certainly a pain in the butt.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I created our custom profile ".arg" file, with two custom workspaces along with the OTB workspaces. I set the Auto Publish Settings to publish to PDF on Exit. With 50+ users, each can create thier own workspace for thier liking.
I have some users that like the feature, and others that do not. The ones that do not like the feature, want to turn the feature off.
So the question is if, under each individual workspace, we uncheck the Auto Publish feature, then save that workspace, is the feature turn off for JUST that workspace? Or does it cut the feature off for all workspaces?
AutoCAD 2012 / Inventor 2012
I have some legacy menus that are quite large. I have tried to create a new workspace, and that seemed to work o.k.
UNTIL I used menuload to try to load the old menu. At the point all the defualt workspaces were wiped out somehow.
I would like to have access to both the default workspaces and then also by switching to a custom workspace, my legacy menus.
I tried creating a custom workspace and was able to do so (without any modifications) but when I was in that workspace, and loaded an old menu, it wiped out all the default workspaces. where / how these default workspaces are stored, or how to upload all my old menu stuff without going through a tedious cui mod?
View 3 Replies View RelatedRetrieving a list of Workspaces from menu files .cui and .cuix
The function to use is (workspacelist) which returns a list of workspace names, similar to (layoutlist) for retrieving a list of Layout names.
The functionality for extracting "WorkspaceRoot.cui" from .cuix requires copying the .cuix to .zip so that it can be accessed as a Windows compressed (zipped) folder which the Windows object "Shell.Application" provides.
Please rename the attachment to .lsp
I received the following error when I tried to post the .lsp: "The contents of the attachment doesn't match its file type."
It would be nice if there was ab opportunity to start the 32 and 64 bit versions each with it's owen Workspace. There may be reasons to open one of them,. For instance: if I want to scan an image I have to use the 32 bit version and need my customized panel with the most used editing tools and so. For normal photo editing tasks this version is sufficient and gives access to all my plug-ins.
If I want to edit a video I "have" to use the 64 bit version and want it started with Motion as Workspace.

I've got the PS CC on a new computer and want the bridge workspace to be the same as on my other computer. I can't find the little file of my workspace. Wher does adobe store that? I don't want to do it again, it's tedious and I won't remember all the settings. On a Mac. .

It's frustrating attempting to remember which settings I had and where my palettes were placed as well as resetting preferences such as units to pixels and rulers to pixels etc.
I tried to copy and paste my workspaces presets from X4 to X5 "workspaces" folder. But X5 isn't recognizing the X4 workspaces in this way. Would be possible to load workspaces from X4 to X5 version?
