I can convert the dwg to a bitmap, but the problem is when I select the object to convert the viewport is also displayed. If I do not activate model space, to select object, then nothing is displayed but viewport. Am I missing a step?

My question is about vector argument, I've heard a lot of times that vector is better to big drawings and also the same doubt comes to my mind ...
Many and many times We have to convert shapes to bitmap due to CPU issues when We use blends, etc, that is to say, We draw vectorial but We are limited if We push xara to the limits.
The other doubt is, what happens when we use fills, for instance the ones that come with xara, aren't they bitmaps?, will they looks as sharp as We want when we use them in large drawings?.
What happens with transparencies?, are they vector?, what about shadow tool?.
I have been using Corel x4 for sometime now and export many graphics. Everything works fine just like before but now on I would say 70-80% of my files when I go to export said file it will take up to 8 seconds for the Convert to Bitmap box to come up. I also have always had the "do not show the filter dialog" checked. Everything else within Corel and my PC is working at the same pace as always.

I design t-shirts and one of our biggest customers sells signature shirts. Below is an example of the problem I'm having. The second image is the original and the first one is what happens after I convert to a bitmap and outline trace.
There are always at least 2-3 names with missing letters or filled in letters. I've adjusted the detail etc while tracing but doesn't seem to work. I'm on the verge of losing a very important customer. We've also had to redo several orders because the "glitch" wasn't caught before production.
I made a menu card cover using lens effect...but converting this design to CMYK/ RGB Bitmap show varied color?
View 1 Replies View RelatedCorel Draw 5 did this very nicely but it's obsolete and I can't load it onto this machine (HP all-in-one Pavilion desktop with Windows 8).
I am working with hand-drawn images but since I need to manipulate the outline/s with a 4 - 12 pixel tool, it would be great to just be editing nodes instead. Creating the image from scratch as a vector graphic would be a horrible large amount of work and is not feasible at this time.
Is there any way other than Corel Draw 5 to make the conversion from bitmap-type images to editable vector graphics, ie: editable nodes?
PS - I don't have $700 - $1000 to spend on software at this point but do have Photoshop Elements 11, Premiere 11 and Lightroom, plus GIMP and the usual. Where should I start?

I am looking for furniture content for renderings. I find some in Autodesk Seek. Most of the items are autocad 3d . It looks like they are built with surfaces. I want to make them usuable in 3d models in Autocad for architecture. I would like them to be easily accessible from the tool palletes. They seem similar to the ones that come from Archidigm. How do I drag and drop these 3d models into the tool pallette - I tried to first convert them into a blcok , but that did not work. Problem is, the part number attribute on the fixture (fixture is a block) is visible when you pull the DXF in on the other software. The problem I have is creating a formula for plumbing fixtures for B occupancy where toilets are required at 1 per 25 for the first 50 occupants and thereafter 1 per 50 occupants. (International Building Code)
A simple formula for 1 at 25 would be "value/25" whereby the value would be a cell content (occupancy number).
Taking this further with a formula like "(value-50)/50+(value/25)" works fine as long as the value (occupancy) is greater than 50.
If the value is less than 50 the first part of the formula (value-50)/50 creates a negative result.
Is there a way to convert a negative result of the first part of the formula to a 0 (zero)
I know this is possible in Excel with the "max" function

I would like to select everything first. Then launch refedit and select all the blocks.
After that I would like to convert them to mass elements. When saving to IGES I would need to select everything again.
I pieced the following script together, but it fails. I think it is bexause of the request to select objects manually. Could I add a delay which would enable me to select an object?
Also it looks like ACADA is not accepting the "all" command when pselect is called by a script.

I am currently using this method, creating a 1-bit bitmap from a grayscale "distress" texture bitmap, choosing transparent fill or outline depending on which area i need trasparent and powerclip it in text or other vector object.
Is there a way to achieve the same distress effect with transparency with FILL ? pattern fill maybe? eg can i save in some format this bitmap to use it maybe as a pattern in pattern fill and retain transparency ?

I have a screenshot, which I have cropped to a specific area to show a specific part of a window: a shape with a bitmap fill, or a cropped bitmap whichever way you consider it.
Next I have another screenshot, of exactly the same dimensions, showing the same window - but showing that window in a different state.
Both screenshots are bitmaps in my document, both appear in the Bitmap Gallery.
I'm not sure if something changed in recent versions of Xara, or I have forgotten the drag+key combination, but how can I drag the second bitmap onto a copy of the first bitmap-filled shape so that the SAME part of the bitmap is shown?
Using different combinations of SHIFT and CTRL I seem to be able to replace all instances of the first bitmap with the second: It is scary that a shape with a bitmap fill offscreen or on another page can be changed unwittingly!

I updated my computer to windows 7 32 bit and need the file: AdskHwCertificationDatabase.xml - version 17.1.0.4 so that I can find out the correct driver for my OS and my quadrofx 1700 graphics card. Autodesk doesn't support 2008 Architecture and the on;y file I can find is buried in a torrent file with a pirated copy of 2008 and I DO NOT wish to download that.
