Working with an excel spreadsheet and following ACA. Looking for datalink dialog box.
Ribbon: Insert tab>Linking & Extraction panel>data link.
Problem is that the Linking & Extraction panel is not available.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am trying to link my extracted data from blocks with attributes to an extenal source so that the table I create and place into the drawing already has the formulas I need to due the required calculations. But every time I create and place the table the formulas are not in the table. I include the columes that contain the data but it doesn't seem to be working.
View 2 Replies View RelatedACA 2011, 64bit.Trying to create fields that link to my aec project name, and number, and description. I'll use the AEC fields in my titleblock to make my titleblock management quite a bit easier.
If I open my template file and try to create a field that links to the AEC project "Project Name". It will come up as ####. I do not want to have a bunch of number signs in my titleblock. project number, and other fields show up as the same #######.
But if I create a new construct from the project navigator, open the new construct, and create a field that links to the AEC project "Project Name". It will come up as Project52. Autocad is now picking up the proper name, and number and everything works fine.
Shouldnt files that are opened in the old fashioned way be able to link to AEC fields? Or should I create & open all files from the project navigator from now on?
Is there a possibility to furnish a hyperlink linking on a defined Excel-data sheet within an Excel file? Are there other possibilities to tie together to a drawing object external additional information, e.g., a product name, product data or product pictures?

View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to add to the ribbon panel? I want to add a tool bar so it shows as a panel instead of a tool bar. I tried to customize it but I think I'm missing a step. I went to CUI and selected the default workspace, went to the toolbar area and added the toolbar to the ribbon panel. I then went the the right side of the CUI and hit customization, but there's nothing to select on either the right side or left side that would add the toolbar panel.

The laser can be set to fire using a combination of Alt, Shift or Control keys plus a number or letter. I arbitrarily set it up as "Alt 1". My old tablet had a mechanical button that I easily assigned this function. For my new setup, I need this button on the ribbon but I can't figure out what Macro text format is the same as pressing "Alt 1".
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using C3D 2013 on a 64 bit windows 7 machine. I have basejump loaded, and when I first installed it there would be a "Raster" tab in the ribbon that would allow me to resample, etc. That tab is now gone. How to get it back?
I used to click on a point to select it and a new tab would show up in the ribbon to list points, edit points, etc. That doesn't come up anymore either.
My co-worker is working on his first Inventor project and he opened up Inventor 11 this morning and both his panel and browser bar are no where to be seen - yet checked off in the options as visible? What is the problem and how do we fix it. He used it two days ago and everything was fine.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI was recently looking at the WikiHelp entry on AutoLimits, because it sounded useful but I haven't seen it before. However, upon checking, I noticed that I don't have the AutoLimits panel in my Inspect tab. Instead, I only have the Interference (buttons: Analyze Interference; Activate Contact Solver) and Measure (buttons: Distance, Angle, Loop, Area, Region Properties) panels.
I am running Autodesk Inventor Professional 2012, student edition, on a HP Pavilion dv2000, with 3GB RAM and an Intel Pentium Dual CPU (1.86GHz). My operating system is Windows 7 Professional 32-bit. I am an administrator.
I am a new user of AutoCad 2010 and am trying to access what used to be the detail component manager, but now I understand would be accessed through the Style and Display panel under the manage tab.
The problem is, I have no Style and Display panel
I have attached a screen shot showing the manage tab open and the CUI open showing the panel options expanded - which do not include the style and display panel- only the four panels currently installed under the Manage tab.
I've really hit a dead end and don't know where to look for the style and display panel so I can ultimately access the structural catalog.
I am looking to reach the Autodesk Seek function from the ribbon menu, but cannot find the Content Panel on the Insert Tab. I did a little poking around in the .cuix, through the cui customization command, but cannot even find it. Is there a way to download this, or has the feature been removed for ACAD 2013?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have ACAD Arch 2012 and I am trying to associate my door tags with my door schedule and visa versa. I get as far as creating the Door Schedule with all the doors on it and quantified just the way you would want to see it; however, the "Mark" remains "A" for every door. I discovered that I can change the Mark on the extended properties of each door, but I believe there should be a better (and more linked) way to accomplish this. Since the program already recognizes how many doors there are of a specific style it should be able to put sequential "marks" to each door, for example "A", "B", "C", etc.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI thought I had a grasp of the CUI routine, but apparently not. I copied the Image panel from the "Insert" Ribbon tab in Task-based Geospatial, and got it where I wanted. The commands are there, but the images are not - just the infamous cloud with "?". I can go back into Task-based Geospatial workspace and the icons are there, but I can't figure out where they are being referenced. Are they embedded here somehow? In the CUI under both the main .cuix list of ribbon panels and those for the partial workspace for TASKBASEDRIBBON, the button images are not linked to anything, just the cloud with "?" It seems that I need to be able to copy the Image panel from the right side window (when Task-based Geospatial is set to current) over to the main .

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen initiating the hatch command H at the command line my panel changed to the hatch panel. Now the command opens the more traditional hatch dialog. I don't how it happened, but just when i was getting used to the panel.
When editing a hatched area the panel appears. Why when I stretch some hatched geometry does not the adjacent hatch stretch with it?
What's the best way to change the primary command on a ribbon panel? I want to set Pline as the primary command on the draw panel as it is currently line. I've managed to get it to work (sort off) but shouldn't it as simple as right click "set as primary command"?

However, when I selected the floor I found that there isn't a shape editing panel in my ribbon. I ran into the same problem when I attempted to construct sloped roof for drainage.
