View 1 Replies View RelatedIt seems like all of a sudden my marching ants are dim to nearly invisible as I'm making a selection. I haven't updated my software. They show up in some graphics better than others, and once I've made the selection, they show up white again. Example: I'll be using the rectangular marquee tool.
This happened at the same time that my custom blending options all reverted to the defaults. However, I hadn't made any custom marching ants settings. I don't know why my custon blending options reverted to the defaults, but it's possible that this was triggered by a hard shutdown that I had to do after my trackpad froze.

When using the perspective grid tool and type, I have a word on the right side of the grid in perspective, and I want to make a shadow of this word flat on the bottom grid. (Like how a tall building casts a shadow flat on the ground)
I tried using the shear tool to do it but it is a bit tricky getting it just right. There must be an easier way to do it within the perspective tool grid.
When I type the word and align it to the bottom grid, how do I rotate it whilst still being aligned in perspective on the bottom grid?If I try and rotate the word using the selection tool it rotates off axis so it is no longer laying flat on the bottom grid.
Words placed on the bottom grid always read from the left vanishing point - I want the word to read from the right vanishing point so it aligns with my word on the right grid wall.
I have been issued the task of putting map grids on building plans. I have a number of building plans that I must put a square grid over, with 2 meter between grid lines according to plan scale.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have recently configured various borders for our Inventor software and have now turned to AutoCAD to do the same.
Within Inventor you can specify grid references around the border. eg A-F along the top and 1-5 on the vertical. Can this be done with AutoCAD 2011????
I have a grid of around 100 points which are spread reasonably evenly.
I need to turn them into a surface as to see the height change between the points more clearly.
I received a drawing that has a layout with multiple mviews in it. There is a light grey grid showing in the layout, that I can't make disappear. Grid on / off command has no effect. Really it doesn't matter if the grid is showing, but it's so annoying! Creating a new layout would fix the problem, but is there an easier way to get rid of the grid?

How do you change this?
I would like to have my autocad start with my osnap settings, grid off, ortho on, etc. I am not a fan of the grid, and I have to turn it off everytime I start a drawing. Is there a way to create this as a normal setup?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a slightly unusual query that I can't seem to find a solution for elsewhere. I have an existing OS plan that is 'off grid', and would like to adjust the vertices at the ends of all the existing lines and polylines so that they all sit on a grid point. Is there a quick command or script that does this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI set a snap for ease of use, e.g. if my intended output scale is 1:50 I will set my snap to 25, this makes drawing lines fast and simple.
When I used the break command in previous versions (I skipped 2011) the break would keep the snap on so I could break either side of a line with a perfect unit gap.
In 2012 when I select the first point it disregards the snap and just puts the break wherever I select on the line meaning the gap is not neat. Is there anyway to put this back the way it was?

Is there an easier way to make a 16 squares X 16 squares grid so that the grid scales with the image size but remains 16X16? Basically I want to add a 16X16 grid to hundreds of images.
Also, how do I put the same grid over many images, like a few hundred?
For a collage? I wanna make a 4 or 9 box grid with images within each. I saw a Youtube video where you could go to Effects > Render > grid-something.
Not seeing the Grid option there. Maybe Paint.net has taken it away since the video was made(?)
I cant start drawing an object from anywhere else( ie. inside a grid) except form the points where grid lines intersect. How do i go back to old system? I need to get some work done fast.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded to CS from 7.0 and in CS whenever I am editing an image the image appears sigificantly brighter than in any other program or when viewed on the net. ImageReady shows the images properly but CS has every image brightened while I am working with it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen i import them back into Lightroom 4 they look darker (as they originally were in LR before export). I calibrate my monitor with Spyder 4 pro each month and i have had no problems printing on my Epson r2000 either and have always had accurate prints.
I maybe imaginging things, but it only seems to be with certain photos (most noticably high ISO astrophotography images). I went through old astro shots this week from over a year ago and thats when i noticed the problem. The expoted files are massively brighter than in Lightroom I am at a loss as to what to do. The display profile on my mac is set to the latest monitor calibration. I havent changed anything in LR but i did get rif of a load of crap on my computer this week as it was becoming slow after updating to OS 9 (mackeeper, dropboxes but nothing i could imagine would relate to LR).

View 2 Replies View RelatedHow to make the grid (the file grid - not artwork) translucent. I'm working on icons, so I'm zoomed in very close, and I'd like to have a translucent grid over top of my artwork. An opaque grid is far too cumbersome and intrusive and I can't see my work, but don't want something totally transparent - I'd like to see it. Just maybe 10% translucency. Any better way to go about something similar?
