I'm sure this probably involves fuzzy select maybe but I've spent ages trying to sort this out but can't make any sense at all of the tutorials.
When i import them back into Lightroom 4 they look darker (as they originally were in LR before export). I calibrate my monitor with Spyder 4 pro each month and i have had no problems printing on my Epson r2000 either and have always had accurate prints.
I maybe imaginging things, but it only seems to be with certain photos (most noticably high ISO astrophotography images). I went through old astro shots this week from over a year ago and thats when i noticed the problem. The expoted files are massively brighter than in Lightroom I am at a loss as to what to do. The display profile on my mac is set to the latest monitor calibration. I havent changed anything in LR but i did get rif of a load of crap on my computer this week as it was becoming slow after updating to OS 9 (mackeeper, dropboxes but nothing i could imagine would relate to LR).
Im having trouble exporting images with High ISO (3200+). Colors aren't coming out the same as the edit version in Lightroom.
Images are coming out brighter after export. Here's an example.
Image was shot in ISO 6400. Other images shot at higher ISO are also coming out brighter.Clearly a huge difference. Its quite disturbing.
I just upgraded to CS from 7.0 and in CS whenever I am editing an image the image appears sigificantly brighter than in any other program or when viewed on the net. ImageReady shows the images properly but CS has every image brightened while I am working with it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen walking through my model a brick wall looks like the left image below. When I produce a rendered image the wall appears much brighter as you can see. Cause I've never fumbled around with lighting settings. The darker version is pretty much the one I'm after.

It seems like all of a sudden my marching ants are dim to nearly invisible as I'm making a selection. I haven't updated my software. They show up in some graphics better than others, and once I've made the selection, they show up white again. Example: I'll be using the rectangular marquee tool.
This happened at the same time that my custom blending options all reverted to the defaults. However, I hadn't made any custom marching ants settings. I don't know why my custon blending options reverted to the defaults, but it's possible that this was triggered by a hard shutdown that I had to do after my trackpad froze.

how do i make the grid brighter so i can see it more easily when i'm in a room that has a foar amount of ambient light?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using a Mac. My windows friend sent me a jpeg of a piece of art we're working on. It looked fine in the web browser. It looked fine in Preview when I opened it, and it looked fine in Photoshop. But when I save it from photoshop after adding just a small thing to the image, the whole thing comes out a bit brighter. I have no idea what's doing it. I've tried Save For Web and Save As and it comes out the same each time. I have played with color settings in the past slightly, but it was my understanding that only affected how photoshop displays the image and I wouldn't expect it to change an image I imported then exported again.

View 10 Replies View RelatedImage Sizing Dimensions produces wrong image sizes upon export for certain images.
Example, I have export set up for iPad resolution, 2048x1536px at 264ppi. If I now export an 3264x4928px image it should be resized to 1356x2048px. What I get is 1356x2047 instead, one pixel too short on the long side. This doesn't happen for all images source resolutions and ratios though. I haven't figured out the pattern yet.
All of a sudden the information to the image started appearing on top left of image. It is disturbing when I'm trying to edit image. How do I get rid of this image information on that part of the screen?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm running Lightroom 4.1, but this issue has been present since Lightroom 3.0 using two different, modern ATI Graphics cards, same Sandy Bridge PC.
On any image, shot with any camera, after a few minutes the info display (image information) and the surrounding area will corrupt. It looks like there's a rectangular box about the width of the image and the height of the info display, where the border of the rectangle is made up of bits of the image, hope that makes sense.
Anyway, pressing "I" to cycle through the info display removes the corruption, but then it returns a few minutes later.
Image size changes when moving an image between Lightroom and CC.
I opened a .dng image in LR and then opened it in the Develop module. I clicked on Crop Overlay and then on the ‘As Shot’ drop down menu (the lock is closed) and cropped to 11 x 17 and clicked ‘Done’-.
I click Cntl-E and the image opens in CC. There I click on Image > Image Size and the Image Size is 13.288 inches by 20.533 inches.
Why does the image size change?
I believe there is a menu to control the size of the image and I've looked everywhere I can think of in LR and CC, I googled various descriptions and I checked two of Scott Kelby's books, but I just can't figure out how to keep the image a consistent size when moving between LR and CC.
I want to take one image and overlay it on top of the other. How is that done in Lightroom?
View 1 Replies View RelatedLR4 image (no adjustments other than initial rendering) is dull compared to opening same raw image directly into PS (CS5) via ACR. If I set monitor profile to sRGB there is no problem, I had a corrupt profile.(According to several forums I read). I have redone my color calibration and restarted my computer. The problem exists.
Both ACR and LR are using Adobe Standard for the camera calibration, Using Version 2010 for both was no different than using 2012 for LR and 2010 for Photoshop.Color Space,ProPhoto is the same, and all other menu items are set correctly, according to LR Forums
I just cannot get it. In the Library I can see the desktop, but not all the folders in desktop are not visible. Have tried many triks but cannot fiqure this out. The intro tutorial does not explain this at all in necessary details. Why doen´t the folder tree open like in windows? I am just used to work with the windows way to show the folder tree and that is why this looks a bit starange to me.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have noticed that if the export function uses constraint "Resize to fit"=Short Edge, than this version of lightroom does not resize the image. A maximum size jpeg is being generated.
A workaround is to use a different resize constraint, for example "Resize to fit"=Long Edge. This works as usual.
I have collected 30000 photos from a WebCam and I would like to make a time lapse. Pictures are taken every 15 Minutes and they are in sequence order (00001...00002...etc). I actually dont need them all for the time lapse and would like to export only lets say every third or every fourth picture. How can I do this with Lightroom?
View 3 Replies View RelatedNormally I would consider this a Camera Write error, however since the CR2 raw file imported, I was able to crop and then export a jpeg, before the raw image disintegrated (to be lost). Several others disintegrated while clicking on them before I could manipulate. First image - this was the exported jpeg
Then after manipulation, and export as jpeg. Tried to print at which point the original CR2 disintegrated into this.
Is this a Camera Write problem or a Lightoom problem.
