Jun 26, 2012I cant start drawing an object from anywhere else( ie. inside a grid) except form the points where grid lines intersect. How do i go back to old system? I need to get some work done fast.

Sep 23, 2009I have been using AutoCAD 2010 for a while now and then all of a sudden, I am unable to select multiple lines. The only way to select more than one line for a command is to hold down the shift button and then select more lines. I think someone was playing around with the computer and must have changed a setting?

AutoCAD 2010 :: Extending MLeader Landings
Feb 1, 2012I have had an issue with AutoCAD 2012 that I cannot fix. AutoCAD 2010 did not do this.
Here is the problem: I start by directing your attention to the attached file "LEADER PROB1". As you can see, i have two MLEADER notations. one ("TOP LINE") is above the other ("MIDDLE LINE"). The left side of the text in both mleader notations align and the leader jets out from the left side as well. However, each leader has a different angle at the corner of the leader landing. If I wanted to make the "MIDDLE LINE" leader angel to match the "TOP LINE" Leader angle, i used to move nod where the landing bends and continues on to the leader (circled in red in my attached image).
However, when i move this node, I end up with the angles matching, BUT now the text is not aligned, see attached image "LEADER PROB2".
How can i fix this? Quick Leaders ("QLEADER") works just fine (in regards to landing extensions) but not MLEADERS. I would like to extend the mleader landing but keep the text where it is, I don't want the text portion to move.
Photoshop :: Multiple Gradients - Extending A Picture With A Gradient?
Mar 9, 2009what I'd like to do is to select the edge of a picture, and then extend the colors that are present in gradient fashion, based on the colors of the pixels at the edge.
For instance, here's a picture of the grand canyon:
How would I extend the left side with gradients that would match the colors of the pixels on the left edge, and all gradiate to black? (I'd blur or something later so that the transition from the picture to the gradient start appeared smoother)
AutoCAD LT :: Printing Grid Lines Not Allowed?
Nov 16, 2013I remember being able to select 'Print Grid' back when I used AutoCAD 2000, but never needed to print the grid lines until about a year ago. AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT cannot do this. It seems only AutoCAD Civil 3D users have this option. Basically I need to print the drawing with a grid on paper and/or a mobile device so a field technician can draw conditions to scale easily and accurately. I realize this must not be in high demand, but there are a number of users who have asked about this. They are told that it is only a 'drawing aid' and they should array their construction lines to print their own grid. This is not a good solution for repetition of printing scaled field drawings, and certainly not 'state of the art' technology. Is this feature removed so we will have to search out the higher priced product? It seems like 'Print Grid' could be easily returned to all AutoCAD. Probably just a system variable that was removed when we weren't looking.

Jun 29, 2012Im having an issue where the horizontal grid lines in my profile are projecting out past my last specified station (see attached) My profile begins at sta: 1+00 and ends at 1+12. My user specified station range is sta: 0+80 to 1+30. I didn't have this issue in release 11 (im currently using release 12) with this profile view style and i did hundreds of profiles with this very same style.

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Clip Grid Lines But Still Show Information?
Feb 29, 2012I need to clip the grid lines at a certain station, but still show the information beyond. The Engineers here got quite comfortable doing that with Land Desktop, and we haven't found a solution to do this with Civil.
I know about clipping the grid (under Profile View Properties), but the ditch (for example) clips to that same station. I need to show the information to the start/end of the survery without grid lines.
Right now, our solution is to draw line over top of the grid lines, and make those lines print white. Therefore, covering up the grid lines underneath.
Using Civil 2011 and running Windows 7.
AutoCAD 2010 :: Plotting Lines Using Compass Direction For Lines Angle
Apr 25, 2012i am doing a simple project making a survey plot for a piece of land that will be broken into subdivision. all measurements are of my starting point. after plotting the starting point i try to draw line that is 113 feet long and at a bearing of N 5d W i have no problem entering this data but when i hit enter it draws a straight line. now i know 5 degrees is much of an angle so i thought maybe it just looked straight and tried to plot the next point which was 542 feet from the last point at a bearing of N 39d E but once again after i put the info in and hit enter or space it would plot a line of the proper length but vertical, not the proper angle i need it at. here is how i would put in the info:
first i choose the lne command and choose my "beginning point" as that starting point for my line then i type 113<N 5d W for the length and direction and hit enter. when i do this it plots a vertical line of the proper length but wrong angle. what am i doing wrong? i have ortho set to off and idk what else to mess with

The above gets me the grid lines; but I have a block inserted at both ends of the grid line; how do I get the selection of those entities (selection set "frame") after each array?
or I would need to map a point list and draw each grid individually how do I go about that?

Jan 17, 2012I am having a problem with grid lines showing up in my print out from autocad, but only in the viewport that has 3D objects in it and displayed in conceptual mode or realistic mode. Don't know what is causing them or how to get rid of them. They do not show up on my screen or in the print preview. They only show up in the final prints and even when printing to a pdf file format. I have printed the same drawing out from other computers that have Autocad 2009 and do not get that problem. My computer has Autocad 2010. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled Autocad but that doesn't work.

May 21, 2010I received a drawing that has a layout with multiple mviews in it. There is a light grey grid showing in the layout, that I can't make disappear. Grid on / off command has no effect. Really it doesn't matter if the grid is showing, but it's so annoying! Creating a new layout would fix the problem, but is there an easier way to get rid of the grid?
