I know the grid creation by View->Show->Grid, but I cannot find how to change the distance between grid lines. I need it since they are too close, I can hardly see the picture.

Basicaly what I have got is straight line with an original offset line at the base and I have copied this line at different distances along the line, but I need a way to double check the distances from the original line.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI keep trying to draw a line by bearing and distance using the format @50.00'<N80d04'30''E. Everything enters but when I enter the last command of the bearing and hit enter it stays in the red boxed outline and does nothing. Upgraded to 2014 and trying to get things set for drawing property boundaries. Tried setting the units to surveyors mode and such but nothing works.

View 9 Replies View Relatedis there a way to change the way distance is measured in a drawing from fractional to decimal? I get drawings that always display dimensions in fractions and being an engineer not a carpenter I need dimensions to be decimal so I am not forced to look up what the decimal equivalent of a fraction is all the time. I am amazed that AC doesn't force me to input dimensions as fractions on these drawings.
This is another one of those options that appears to be hidden but should be available in a real page setup option or in the options. Unlike the current page setup which seems to be a print setup instead. I love hidden options, like when I made the mistake of changing the default fractional style that I am now stuck with. I love being caught between 2 bad options. Either I have to put up with being asked constantly if I want to change how fractions are displayed or I can't change the default ever again.
Attached file shows a book cabinet. After manipulating the depth (32 cm) for many times, still I haven't got the ideal depth. Manipulating the distance is time consuming and I am looking for a smarter way to do it.
Changing the depth is cumbersome for me, as I act in the traditional way. Let say if I want to change the depth of all shelves to 34, I choose 7 shelves from bottom, move all 2 cm down. In the next step I choose 6 shelves from bottom and move them 2 cm down and repeat until I reach the bottom.
In order to draw them, first: I use rectangle not lines which has some shortfalls, second: I use array command to copy them down.
This is not a smart way and I think there must be a better way. Although a LISP routine will solve it very easily, but I prefer a non-LISP solution.
How do you remove the grid lines in VS X4 Pro? I could not find anything under preferences or a switch near the preview window.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am getting a problem that whenever i exported corel file to pdf. It's showing grid lines on pdf file whereas corel file doesn't showing any gridlines nor i checked "show grid lines".
I know what's causing the problem. The problem is when i updated my CD X5 to X6, In each file a popup palette came saying "to update the text, click update". I clicked on update. Since then this problem is occurring only those file on which i clicked update.Making a new file with copy paste option is last choice.

I remember being able to select 'Print Grid' back when I used AutoCAD 2000, but never needed to print the grid lines until about a year ago. AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT cannot do this. It seems only AutoCAD Civil 3D users have this option. Basically I need to print the drawing with a grid on paper and/or a mobile device so a field technician can draw conditions to scale easily and accurately. I realize this must not be in high demand, but there are a number of users who have asked about this. They are told that it is only a 'drawing aid' and they should array their construction lines to print their own grid. This is not a good solution for repetition of printing scaled field drawings, and certainly not 'state of the art' technology. Is this feature removed so we will have to search out the higher priced product? It seems like 'Print Grid' could be easily returned to all AutoCAD. Probably just a system variable that was removed when we weren't looking.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter creating a series of grid lines. when i try to select any one of them, it automatically shifts the grid line up several feet (in the plan view) and shifts it over to make it an even distance from the next gridline. therefore it is no longer in the correct position (or aligned with the rest of the grid lines). is there a snap setting or something i am missing when i just want to select a grid line without moving it? even with snaps off, it still happens.
