i open a new picture i have to first ctr h to turn off the extra grid lines in order to view my pcitures , is there a way to turn off the extra grid lines permanently so i dont have to do it every time i open a new picture?
View 3 RepliesA way to revert the icon for the lasso tool to its old self... or at least turn it into a simple cursor.
The lasso tool in this new Photoshop version suddenly forces you to see a double image: both the original lasso and a cursor above it that points to the actual connection point. This setup is annoying as hell and no - I haven't gotten used to it.
The tool ends up so large that it's obscuring part of what I want to select... not to mention that my instinct wants to see the connection point on the tip of the lasso. What was great about the original lasso was the fact that the icon itself was so thin that it didn't obscure what I was trying to select. Not just do I suddenly have an icon that's twice as large, the arrow is also thick and opaque - it's very much in my way and totally counter productive! I can understand wanting to make things more unified... but this is not the way to do it.
At least give us the option to have the lasso show up as either an arrow or the old tool. You're allowing us to show the pen tips as cursors... why not include that choice for the lasso tool too? A simple dropdown on the top when I select the tool would do the trick just fine. I might actually like having the lasso tool as a thin arrow instead of a lasso shape.
However - As it is now, it's a bad design and makes for a clunky tool that has two origin tips AND obscures my selection area.
I am trying to get an extra column of grid to the left of my sections. Is this a way to do this? Do I need to have white space in this area and not a grid?

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen plotting any IDW files to our full size plotter, I have ghost lines running through the drawing (lines that are not present in the drawing, on screen or preview) alomost like the plotter is printing extra extension lines on the drawings, overlaying 2 sheets on 1 drawings and even moving some text on the drawings. I have all the SP's and am lost. I can move to another computer and print drawings fine so its not a plotter issue.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using 2013 and have a few 3D objects in the modeling space that I am using view base to put different views of each into the paper space. When I do this and export to PDF, I get an extra green line from the paper space. I have deleted and replaced the view and have tried different views with varying sucess.
Some pieces simply need a different view, however I have one that will not go away. The different view does really solve the problem either because I need the view with the problem. I have attached a picture of the issue, but it is just a chunk to protect information that I cannot share. The gray in the drawing is the part, the green line should not be there. The green line only shows up on the PDF, not in modeling space or paper space.
I have a 4" pipe tee that was imported to IV from a neutral format ( I don't remember which one. ) In the end view, there are always extra lines showing extending from the branch of the tee.
I can hide the lines, but that then hides the edge lines of a plate welded to the tee branch. Files are attached

Is there a way to remove the extra sash lines which, in plan, are meant to represent the sash below the cut plane? I want to keep the sash "nub" at adjacent to the frame, but remove the lines which run parallel to the glass.

When I use the built-in dwg to PDF for publishing multiable layout tabs I somtimes get extra and/or missing lines and objects on the PDF. When in model space no extra lines a present or missing. Everything is where it need to be. Same goes when a review the drawing in layout before I publish to PDF.
When I publish to paper its fine, no problems.
Just loaded CS2 and I am unable to nudge using the arrow key, delete using the delete button, or turn my grid on/off using crtl+'.

Is there any option with wipeout to turn the continuous lines into dotted lines instead of hiding the object? I just tried the pdf export of a multipage document. When I open it in Reader or Acrobat I see a grid where the page is not covered (transparency grid?). It has nothing to do with the Reader feature - the grid is in the pdf (I can see it with Pitstop in wireframe mode). Can't find where to turn it off.

I can turn it off by clicking on it to turn off but it won't stay turned off. I tired to go into my preferences to see if you can keep it off in your setting but I do not see it. A lot of discussion boards talk about in the Transform window "Align new objects to pixel grid" and that is turned off.

View 10 Replies View RelatedIn Photo-Paint X5, there is an option that allows you to turn off the pixel grid. It's located under Tools -> Options -> Document -> Grid -> Pixel Grid. If I uncheck the "Show pixel grid at 800% and higher zoom", then the pixel grid is turned off as expected. However, the next time I open another document, the pixel grid gets turned right back on. How do I make it so the pixel grid is always off? I've tried making it fully transparent, but the transparency resets each time I open a new image as well.

View 7 Replies View RelatedWhy does the capture date in the metadata panel not match the capture date seen in the grid extra view and how do I fix it? The images that I have in my library are digitized negatives and I've corrected the capture dates and times to be accurate; however, the capture date and in the metadata window shows what I've changed it to and the date in both the grid extra view and the Metadata>Edit Capture Time... options both reflect the date the image was last modified. Not all of the images in my library are this way and some show the correct information. When sorted by Capture Time, all images fall exactly where they should in the proper order (based on the changed, corrected edit time and not the modified date). I saved metadata to the file with the new date but it didn't fix it.
