Photoshop :: How Grid Lines Appear When Designing Mockup With CC Or CS6
Jul 17, 2013
PS pat files are patterns? how used, applied & imported to PS? How appear Grid lines(eg 960 grid system; how configure?) when designing a mockup with PS cc or cs6?
PS cs6 -to-> PS cc needed uninstall/reinstall... or can use upon update (no uninstall)?
I was wondering when designing a logo I should worry about aligning my artwork to a pixel grid for use on the web. Should I maybe create the artwork as normal and then save another version that is aligned to pixel grid for web and send them both?
I have a mockup designed in English which needs to be translated in several other language for our sales team to use in the presentations.Translating to French, German and Chinese worked out fine, bur for some reason this is not working for Arabic text.I have a translated Word document from which I'm pasting the translation into my original English version, for which I would the realign as needed for the layout.
The problem is that, for one, I can't seem to find a matching default font in Photoshop which translates well (for example, for Chinese used "Microsoft Yahei", and "Helvetica" for German).I have over a dozen Arabic font options to choose from, but something still seems wrong when comparing.
I'm not trying to turn my whole work space in Arabic, put need to copy/paste text from Word into Photoshop the realign to the right (basically flip it)What am I missing here? Are there some specific settings I need to modify to have this work?
I am a logo designer, and I have this photo realistic mockup for logos. So i have a layout where the main logo is a little above center, and below are two mock ups. So I am trying to have it where I can just make a change in the illustrator file and Photoshop can instantly make the change. The problem is that I am using two different mock ups and I have to edit both the mock ups (double click opening another window and pasting the smart object) to use them. The top layer is ok, because it will update itself.
I want a way to edit the illustrator logo and Photoshop to make all the changes in all three displays itself. The problem is that the bottom displays open up other Photoshop windows, with smart objects within them, but if I open up the top smart object, then it automatically opens illustrator.
So is there a way to just make one change in illustrator and Photoshop to automatically update it all.
I'm trying to put some lines or grid to a part of my layout (header) in PS. Even a header is on separate layer I can't do it. I can put lines (or pattern) on whole picture but cant on part when select. I did try mask and all I can remember. Is this posible?
I know the grid creation by View->Show->Grid, but I cannot find how to change the distance between grid lines. I need it since they are too close, I can hardly see the picture.
i open a new picture i have to first ctr h to turn off the extra grid lines in order to view my pcitures , is there a way to turn off the extra grid lines permanently so i dont have to do it every time i open a new picture?
Is there an easier way to create gridlines as a design element? I know you can set/adjust the grid in the preferences, but I would like to be able to have the gridlines as something editable (changing colors/scale, etc.) and as an element in the piece (as opposed to just a guide overlay that's not integrated).
Up til now I've been doing this the hard way, using guides and the line tool to create/copy/move each line, etc. building it piece by piece...while this works,
I am getting a problem that whenever i exported corel file to pdf. It's showing grid lines on pdf file whereas corel file doesn't showing any gridlines nor i checked "show grid lines".
I know what's causing the problem. The problem is when i updated my CD X5 to X6, In each file a popup palette came saying "to update the text, click update". I clicked on update. Since then this problem is occurring only those file on which i clicked update.Making a new file with copy paste option is last choice.
I remember being able to select 'Print Grid' back when I used AutoCAD 2000, but never needed to print the grid lines until about a year ago. AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT cannot do this. It seems only AutoCAD Civil 3D users have this option. Basically I need to print the drawing with a grid on paper and/or a mobile device so a field technician can draw conditions to scale easily and accurately. I realize this must not be in high demand, but there are a number of users who have asked about this. They are told that it is only a 'drawing aid' and they should array their construction lines to print their own grid. This is not a good solution for repetition of printing scaled field drawings, and certainly not 'state of the art' technology. Is this feature removed so we will have to search out the higher priced product? It seems like 'Print Grid' could be easily returned to all AutoCAD. Probably just a system variable that was removed when we weren't looking.
I am having a problem with my grid lines F7 coming back on, there is no consistency or reason that I can see that might be turning them back on, I can be zooming in and out, stretching something, dimensioning something?
After creating a series of grid lines. when i try to select any one of them, it automatically shifts the grid line up several feet (in the plan view) and shifts it over to make it an even distance from the next gridline. therefore it is no longer in the correct position (or aligned with the rest of the grid lines). is there a snap setting or something i am missing when i just want to select a grid line without moving it? even with snaps off, it still happens.
Any way to create NE grid lines or ticks and labels around the perimeter of a viewport. I found a VBA program online, but I'm using 2011 and it uses .net. Is there a way to convert VBA to .net?
I want a grid where a grid line is drawn every 10mm, with division lines every 1mm.
When I set this up in illustrator the grid lines (major) render fine but I am not seeing any division (minor) lines at all. Is this the defauld behaviour in illustrator?
It would be very beneficial to view all of the internal lines of the sectioned rectangular prism that the perspective grid consists of. This is a standard workflow for drawing 3 dimensional objects. Without this, it is very difficult to draw accurately.
Essentially this but in perspective mode: [URL] .....
This doesn't appear possible to in CS5. Please specify if this is not the case and if it is possible in CS6.
Im having an issue where the horizontal grid lines in my profile are projecting out past my last specified station (see attached) My profile begins at sta: 1+00 and ends at 1+12. My user specified station range is sta: 0+80 to 1+30. I didn't have this issue in release 11 (im currently using release 12) with this profile view style and i did hundreds of profiles with this very same style.
AutoCAD Civil3D R12 SP2 Windows 7 Pro 64 bit Intel Core i7-2600 3.4GHz 8.0 GB RAM Nvidia Quadro 600
I need to clip the grid lines at a certain station, but still show the information beyond. The Engineers here got quite comfortable doing that with Land Desktop, and we haven't found a solution to do this with Civil.
I know about clipping the grid (under Profile View Properties), but the ditch (for example) clips to that same station. I need to show the information to the start/end of the survery without grid lines.
Right now, our solution is to draw line over top of the grid lines, and make those lines print white. Therefore, covering up the grid lines underneath.
We upgraded to x6.1 and are having some issues. I have X5 and X6 installed on my machine. When using X6 and you add a new page to the document, then publish a PDF. The PDF will show grid lines on the new pages. This happens with new docs and previously created docs when we add new pages. Also, on the new pages, you can't disable the printing in the object manager.
Second problem, when you have a bitmap in your document and click on it, Photo Paint is available. Only the trace option. Edit Bitmap is grayed out on the Property Bar and not available when you right click the image. I have to open Photo Paint and copy the image into it. There are three of us having the same problems.
The above gets me the grid lines; but I have a block inserted at both ends of the grid line; how do I get the selection of those entities (selection set "frame") after each array?
or I would need to map a point list and draw each grid individually how do I go about that?
Attached is the sample of the output I'd like to achieve using LISP.
I am having a problem with grid lines showing up in my print out from autocad, but only in the viewport that has 3D objects in it and displayed in conceptual mode or realistic mode. Don't know what is causing them or how to get rid of them. They do not show up on my screen or in the print preview. They only show up in the final prints and even when printing to a pdf file format. I have printed the same drawing out from other computers that have Autocad 2009 and do not get that problem. My computer has Autocad 2010. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled Autocad but that doesn't work.
