View 1 RepliesWe upgraded to x6.1 and are having some issues. I have X5 and X6 installed on my machine. When using X6 and you add a new page to the document, then publish a PDF. The PDF will show grid lines on the new pages. This happens with new docs and previously created docs when we add new pages. Also, on the new pages, you can't disable the printing in the object manager.
Second problem, when you have a bitmap in your document and click on it, Photo Paint is available. Only the trace option. Edit Bitmap is grayed out on the Property Bar and not available when you right click the image. I have to open Photo Paint and copy the image into it. There are three of us having the same problems.

how can I set left, right, rop and bottom table borders with VBA Macro? I have select table, but my old (CDR5) macro doesnot work.
This not works:
Sub tableborder() Dim o As ShapeRange Set o = ActiveSelectionRange Set ta = o.Item(1).Custom For Each radek In ta.Rows For Each bunka In radek.Cells bunka.Borders.Top.Color = CreateCMYKColor(0, 0, 0, 100) bunka.Borders.Top.Width = ConvertUnits(1, cdrMillimeter, cdrInch) bunka.Borders.Top.Style = OutlineStyles(0) bunka.Borders.Bottom.Color = CreateCMYKColor(100, 0, 0, 0) bunka.Borders.Bottom.Width = ConvertUnits(2, cdrMillimeter, cdrInch) bunka.Borders.Bottom.Style = OutlineStyles(0) bunka.Borders.Left.Color = CreateCMYKColor(100, 100, 0, 0) bunka.Borders.Left.Width = ConvertUnits(3, cdrMillimeter, cdrInch) bunka.Borders.Left.Style = OutlineStyles(0) bunka.Borders.Right.Color = CreateCMYKColor(0, 100, 0, 0) bunka.Borders.Right.Width = ConvertUnits(4, cdrMillimeter, cdrInch) bunka.Borders.Right.Style = OutlineStyles(0) Next bunka Next radek ta.Borders.Left.Color = CreateCMYKColor(0, 0, 100, 0) ta.Borders.Left.Width = ConvertUnits(5, cdrMillimeter, cdrInch) ta.Borders.Left.Style = OutlineStyles(0)End Sub

View 8 Replies View RelatedWhen using Windows 7 (32 bit) and Coreldraw X5, when I zoom up the page, with grid on, and start moving TIFFs around, the grid disappears in that local area. The only option is to refresh the page. So just recently upgraded to Windows 7 64 bit, but no change.
View 1 Replies View Related I've used CorelDraw for a couple of years manly for simple newsletters and flyers. My question is concerning the visibility, or in my case, the non-visibility of the baseline grid. First of all my equipment is as follows: Dell Inspiron 620, i5-2320 @3.00 GHz, 8gb Ram 64bit windows 7 home premium with all current updates. I'm using a education version of x6 suite and it's updated to version 16.3.0.1114.
These are the steps I've taken: I created a rectangle within the document and using the layout toolbar I clicked "convert the object to a text frame". With the text box active, I clicked view/grid/baseline grid, but alas, no baseline grid is visible within the text box.

When I enter text into a table cell all I see is a red dotted rectangle. Object Manager shows there is a Paragraph text object there. If I open it in Text editor tool the text I typed is there.
Why is it not visible on screen or when printed?. Paragraph text not in the table is visible.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have CorelDraw16 loaded on a W7Pro 64 bit system it has all the latest updates, I use it to run my Roland vinyl cutter. I am trying to convert some drawings to a DXF format so they can be cut on a CNC Plasma Table as well. It is my understanding CD16 by default saves DXF files as "Splines" you have several options for what years of Autocad to save them as.
The two tables I have tried to upload my DXF (R11, R13,AC 2005 or AC 2008) files are a Koiki Aronson and a Retro Plasma System. Neither one could open the files. Further research shows that some CNC machine controllers prefers "Polylines" over the "Splines".
I have found an add on utility (Leonard CNC Pro Software) that will export the DXF file as a Polyline, Polyarc, Line/Arc or a Line only. I have other options such as toolpath directions ect.
We are having a big problem with dropping lines of text or parts of graphics. It is happening on 3 different laser systems and 2 different printers.
View 14 Replies View RelatedWhen importing a multi-page pdf or ps file into a multi-page document, sometimes the inserted pages will all have their Document Grid layer visibility turned on, even when the existing pages in the document all have it turned off.
If I bring up the object manager, I can go through the affected pages and 'un-eye' them one page at a time. But it's a blooming nuisance, especially when importing dozens of pages at once.

I have attached a free macro to change the text color of cells in a table. Without the macro there is currently no way to select more than one cell and change the text color.
The macro allows the user to either:
click on a table (to select it) and then apply a new color to ALL text in the table; or choose a new color from the macro from, select some cells in a table and then apply that color to the text in those selected cells
Please note in step 2 it is important you choose the new color first and then select the table cells. If you do it the opposite way around, while choosing a colour you will deselect the selected cells and apply color to all of the text in the table.

View 2 Replies View Relatedis it possible to create a style for formating cells in a table in CDX6?I mean to format aligninig, text formating /font, margins and stuff like that?
Now I have to do a infoguide for my city and have to put in a lot of info - restaurants, hotels etc. Probably 300 and more and the best way is to use the great table tool. BUT it will be fatastic if I can format cells with style because with easy I can import xls file in Corel and the good news is that it recognise it as a table so the formating is the next step. After that selecting cells, changing fonts, margins etc. is a painfull job to do.
I've spent some time designing a chart using the table tool. Now I want to adjust some column widths and add some text.
However, the mouse keeps trailing a small table icon, and all it will let me do is insert another table. I can't enter text, or highlight a row or column, for example. Most of the right mouse click options are greyed out.
How do I change from this mode for the mouse, with the Table icon switched on, to other modes where I can do other things with the table I have already created?(If I create a new table below this existing table, all is well. However, I can't grab the content in the earlier table to paste it into the new one.)
I am trying to set the cut lines around a font that is an outline font and I can't get it to work - the outline just turns into the cut line and doesn't cut the font that I need.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have a group of images that I am working on in Corel Draw x5. They are drawings, I scanned them as black/white images then used the "outline trace to clipart" feature to get good images.
I want to thicken the lines but if I use the outline pen tool to change the thickness it draws a box around my images. Is there a way to thicken the lines without getting the box?

This isn't something I am in need of because in the future with this graphic I would just convert the background. Just wondering why it made those odd lines coming off of the words and the black bar (I don't know how the heck you guys can post large things, things with motion, etc. I have to make things miniature to put them on here)
I assume it has something to do with how the original, that came from MillerCoors, has those layers of lines in it. I just don't get why lines would then be visible when I changed it since nothing like that has happened before. Oh, and if you are wondering why I converted it, it's because I knew my rip server wouldn't like all that stuff going on in the original
arrows.jpg
I need to make lines of different thicknesses, with arrowheads. However, when I increase the line width the arrowhead should not be proportional. It need to stay a bit smaller.
Example: if the line is expanded to "Thick 3", I need the arrow keeps equivalent to "Thick 2" - for aesthetic reasons.I can do edit as I show in the bottom of the sample picture.
However, I need to build HUNDREDS of arrows of different sizes. Is there any way (Macro function?) permitting I enlarge/reduce line thickness and allowing me to edit the arrow without changing the line thickness?
Important Note: Is not enough I edit some arrows and save them as a kind of Template, then import them to work. The arrows have different ways in thickness and may be straight, curved, winding, etc.. Hence the need to edit the edges easily.
A customer sent me a jpeg of a white dove that they want printed on vinyl and then contour cut to put on their travel trailer. The picture was a very low dpi and I scanned it and increased the dpi to 150. I tried to trace it, but it just would not come out right.
My question is -- Can I put cutting lines around the dove as a bitmap and then be able to print and contour cut it out?

I am trying to setup an 8.5 X11 sheet on landscape to do a brochure but I cannot add any bleed lines on user defined presets.
When I go to layout>page setup>guidelines>presets>user defined presets. It only gives me the options for margins and # of columns and the distance apart.....but no bleed area
The only way I can add bleed to the layout is when I go to layout>page setup>size (bleed .125")>guidelines>presets>corel presets> check three column newsletter and check bleed area. But then I cannot adjust the distance apart during setup.
Is there any way to import DWG/DXF files with measure lines with arrows.

I just printed of the design for my first t-shirt. There are faint horizontal lines, about 1/2 inch apart, thru an ellipse with a green-blue fountain fill that are not part of the design. Is this my printer, or is there something in the program that I am (not?) doing?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI know this question was posted back in 2010, but thought I would bring it back to the surface to see if anything new has developed.
I am running X4. I draw jig saw puzzles in CorelDRAW (several shapes that I andomly node-connect) and each piece overlaps adjoining pieces on all four sides and are connected at multiple corner nodes as well as arc nodes. When sending to the laser for cutting, each side of each piece gets cut twice due to the overlapping lines. I was hoping the RemoveUnderlyingDups and NodeClean macro from a 2010 post would take these overlapping lines and create individual horizontal and vertical line segments from the connected nodes so the laser would make one continuous cut rather than duplicating all the cuts.
However, after running the macros, even on a small portion of the puzzle, I didn't get any results. I combined then broke apart as mentioned and still no joy. The only way I have been able to create separate line segments is to cut apart at the nodes and delete individual line segments... on 1250 pieces, with four sides and all sides overlapping, that's 10,000 separate edits... needless to say, duplicate cutting by the laser is faster.
Ideally, being able to create continuous horizontal and vertical lines based on corner node connections, would be the best. At that point, I could cut a 1250 piece puzzle with just 50 continuous horizontal lines and 100 vertical lines.
