AutoCAD Civil 3D :: How To Change Contour Labels Precision
Oct 25, 2010i am trying to change my contour label precision from 700 to 700.50, i am working in a very flat area and i placed .25' and 1' contours on my site plan but can only get even foot labels to show. where do i change the precision, i tried in units, no luck.

May 4, 2013I am wondering if there is a way to get the bearing label to look show a 09d02'01" the way i have is set up it cuts off the 0 infront of them? I thought that would be fine however my boss does not, so I have o explode the label and add it in then. I do not like to do this however.

In 3d 2010 I only can label a whole line, not only a portion that I choose. This has to be a label option still.

Feb 25, 2013I am using Civil 3D 2012. I know how to label a line with bearing and distance. What I would like to do is make a table with these bearings and distances referencing the point numbers. For instance, I have a new ROW line that starts at point 1000 and changes direction at point 1001 and changes direction at 1002 and so on. I need a table that shows Points 1000-1001 is ___ Bearing and ___ Distance.
The lines are not parcel lines; they are only line segments.

Jun 4, 2013I keep trying to draw a line by bearing and distance using the format @50.00'<N80d04'30''E. Everything enters but when I enter the last command of the bearing and hit enter it stays in the red boxed outline and does nothing. Upgraded to 2014 and trying to get things set for drawing property boundaries. Tried setting the units to surveyors mode and such but nothing works.

Jun 26, 2012I have a drawing containing a surface with contour labels. There are two tabs representing two separate drawings. On one of the drawings I want to change the viewport color of some of the layers so certain features will plot lighter than on the other drawing.
When I change the color of a layer within the viewport, however, the masking on all the contour labels takes on a color (not associated with the color of the layer they're on, or anything else for that matter). Once the masking takes on the color, you can't undo it. You have to exit the drawing without saving it and call it up again in order to have the labels appear properly.

Nov 12, 2013I have an alignment and have station labels. The alignment is labeled with "Major Stations" at every 100 feet. I need to change the station increment to 25 feet and have labels. I have done this although station 1+25 is still reading 1, station 1+50 is reading 1, etc. There is a precision variable somewhere, and I can't figure it out. I have played with the alignment labels style but no luck. Is there a global drawing settings somewhere that might be controlling this?

Dec 20, 2013I am trying to find where the formatting is for the General Legal Description bearings. I am currently getting an output of NORTH 00° 12' 33" EAST, but would like to eliminate the spaces in the DMS: NORTH 00°12'33" EAST. This is also the case with the delta angle for curves. When I run the Metes and Bounds report, the bearings appear without the spaces. I think that I have changed it before, but I have switched employers since editing the files.

Jul 28, 2010All the values I put in to set my tolerance are being rounded to three decimal places even though the value is four place and I am setting the dimension precision to four place.
For Example: I have a hole of diameter 2.0466. It is to have a tolerance of +.0005/-.0000. When tolerance.setToDeviation is called, the .0005 is strangely forced to .001 and is set as this in the part file. The precision value had already been set to 4 at this point.
I am using the following code in Inventor 2010:

Mar 14, 2012How can I change the precision of Driven Dimensions. I have a Driven Dimesion in a sketch that I want to use in another dimension later. Let's say that d59 is a Driven Dimension.I want dimension d80 = d59*2. When I measure it using eight decimal places, I can see that it is rounding d59 to 3 decimal places, but I don't want it to do that because then d80 is off.

I calculate out the angle of rotation around my section corner (in my case 0.0641) and when I apply the translate survey data, it rotates it at a much larger scal than specified (1.5236). Mar 18, 2013How to get a tangent bearing or radial bearing to show up in the legal description writer? All I can get are their opposites. Is there some code that I can add that will swap their direction (say NE for a SW)?
The convention out here (OR/WA) is to show a radial bearing (from the PC to the radius point) or a tangent bearing (into the beginning of a curve) for any non-tangent curves. So far, I haven't been able to figure out how to do this automatically.
Also, any good guide or list of variables for using the Parcel Reporting for legal descriptions in c3d? I really want to know what ALL the different pieces of data are that I can use in the legal writer, and how to manipulate them.
AutoCAD 2013 :: Select Dimensions And Change Precision To 2 Decimal Points?
Sep 30, 2013I wanted to select dimensions and change the precision to 2 decimal points.
For any dimensions I positioned on the object (like the width of the block centered in the block)...rather than above, below or off to the side. I am unable to select that dimension. Every time my cursor goes towards the dimension to select it.....the block itself is automatically selected. Any dimension outside the boundary of the object is fully selectable to edit.
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Curve Tag Precision
Jul 18, 2013I am working in AutoCivil 3D 2014. I have created a curve table for a plat of an allotment with the precision for the curve length set to "Normal Rounding". My problem is that we have to show data for the individual lot frontage as well as the total length of the right-of-way curve length. So the individual lot frontages must add up to the total right-of-way length.
If they don't, I have to make an adjustment to one of the lengths. If I change the precision of the tag syle, there is no change in the table. I have attached a screen shot to show my results. The left picture shows a "span" style with the tag and curve length with the precision "truncated". On the right, is what is in the table. I would like to keep the table dynamic and not have to explode it. I think my problem lies in the table and the only way this can work is if I can override the one length in the table. But I have not been able to do that yet.

Civil 3D 2012 is giving N10d10'10.00", 100.000'
I am using a template with the distance precision set to 2.
The drawing setting->Ambient settings distance precision are set to 2.
The feature settings distance precison is set to 2.
