AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Change Station Increment To 25 Feet And Have Labels
Nov 12, 2013
I have an alignment and have station labels. The alignment is labeled with "Major Stations" at every 100 feet. I need to change the station increment to 25 feet and have labels. I have done this although station 1+25 is still reading 1, station 1+50 is reading 1, etc. There is a precision variable somewhere, and I can't figure it out. I have played with the alignment labels style but no luck. Is there a global drawing settings somewhere that might be controlling this?
I have an alignment that starts at station 1+00 and runs through 20+00.
By right clicking the station labels and editing the label group, I have updated my major station increments to 200' and my minor stations (ticks only) to 100'. The problem is, I want the 200' increments to begin at my starting station (1+00), so that the labels would read 1+00, 3+00, 5+00, etc.
As it is now, the above settings make my labels read: 1+00, 2+00, 4+00, 6+00, etc.
First - the alignment station label text size when viewed in model space is fine but when viewed in paper space it comes in way to big. How do i adjust this so i see things in paper space as they are in the model?
Second - Would like to adjust the station label style from the defalt 0+00.00 to 0+000.000
I have a profile view created with several surfaces including a proposed surface. The stationing on the X-Axis of the profile view corresponds correctly with the PT's, PC's etc on the proposed surface profile, however the the labels that are actually on the profile line are giving me values such as PC: 0+668.62 when it should read 21+93.63.
I can't seem to find a correlation in the two numbers and am having difficulty changing the style to correctly reflect the stationing.
how to set-up a style what i want to do is label the station and offset of the insertion point of a block by selecting that block and placing the name of the block at the end of the label. as such it would read sta: 14+58.25 - L12.50' P Pole
I am having a problem where my station labels are the correct size in model space, but when I switch to paper space they stay really small. I think it is a mm/m problem but can't seem to find a solution in the properties of the station label group. If I type a piece of mtext it works fine.
I am trying to edit labels for a particular alignment. All labels are along the same alignment and use the same alignment style. I need to change "defl." in each of those labels to "defl:". So simply changing the period to a colon. But it is a lot of work to go through each label and then in edit label text and then change it. Plus, I have to do this on 12 sheets. That's like 300 labels! Is there a quick way to achieve this. If it were simple mtext or dtext then I could use the find and replace option, but these are civil 3d alignment station offset labels? Is there a lisp that can accomplish this task? I am using Civil 3D 2010.
Is it possible to change the Alignment Labels Major Stations Increment for multiple Alignments ?I have 50+ Alignments. Each of them labelled with 100m increment for major stations.I would like to change them to 50m interval.
I can't seem to get my profile start and end station labels to appear even after I checked "Label start station" and "label end station" in the profile view properties.
I've attached two screenshots of my issue. I simply need to change my major station from 1000' interval to 500' interval. As you can see from the screen caps, I can manage to get the band details on the stations I want, through a workaround, but the vertical gridlines get all messed up.

where to change the default beginning station from 0+00 to 1+00 in my civil 3d profile template (dwt), so that the beginning station is always 1+00, unless the user changes it.
We'll be getting a laser engraver, and have been considering Illustrator to format the designs. Some of our engravings will include serial numbers. So I was wondering (having never used Illustrator) if I could create a file containg, say 10 identical engravings - except for an automatically incrementing serial number (I would set the first serial number, and the 9 others would follow). The 10 engravings would be applied to 10 similar parts simultaneously.
how do you change their layer? i have been through the settings tab under "alignment", "station offset". i also right clicked on one and went through the properties.
I am in the process of transitioning from land desktop to Civil 3D. I design roads in steep terrain and sometimes need to have my catch (daylight) slopes change. So my question is, how do I change a daylight slope at a specified depth? For example, from the shoulder of the road I want a 3:1 fill slope to a depth of 10 feet than change to a 2:1 slope until it catches the existing surface. Can this be built into a subassembly such that if the fill is less than 10 feet it will daylight correctly at a 3:1 and if the depth is greater than 10 feet then it carries the 3:1 for 10 vertical feet and then changes to the 2:1 until it daylights?
I have a drawing containing a surface with contour labels. There are two tabs representing two separate drawings. On one of the drawings I want to change the viewport color of some of the layers so certain features will plot lighter than on the other drawing.
When I change the color of a layer within the viewport, however, the masking on all the contour labels takes on a color (not associated with the color of the layer they're on, or anything else for that matter). Once the masking takes on the color, you can't undo it. You have to exit the drawing without saving it and call it up again in order to have the labels appear properly.
i am trying to change my contour label precision from 700 to 700.50, i am working in a very flat area and i placed .25' and 1' contours on my site plan but can only get even foot labels to show. where do i change the precision, i tried in units, no luck.
I have a feature line that is perpendicular to another and connected to it at a PI .When I modify the elevations of one of the feature lines, the labels for slope and PI elevation of the dependent feature line do not react and update without having to invoke a REGEN.
how to change the style of the tick symbol for the cut/fill labels? In the attached you can see its a good size circle and I want to change it to just a small cross. I dont see that setting in the label style anywhere.
Trying to change the position of the "elevation" labels on the horizontal axis. They come default as being inside the profile and i want them shown on the outside of the profile box.
Is there a way to change the marker style on general note labels that are already in the drawing without having to select them all and change it in the properties? I want to change the marker style from "basic" to "none" on the note labels but I'm not seeing a ToolSpace setting to change them all at the same time without having to individually change it...
