I am having a problem where my station labels are the correct size in model space, but when I switch to paper space they stay really small. I think it is a mm/m problem but can't seem to find a solution in the properties of the station label group. If I type a piece of mtext it works fine.

The Label Style which I created for the annotated surface label spot elevations has all its properties set to be ByLayer for example its color and lineweight. The Layer I assigned the Label Style was assigned to a layer with a color and plot style that should plot any object screened. Color 8 and Plot Style Screened.
What other steps am I missing to assure myself that this Label Style will plot screened in my new Precise Grading Breakout Sheet?
I also made sure that the xref drawing in which this Surface spot elevation has the correct colors and lineweights and Plot Styles in my new Precise Grading Breakout Sheet.
First - the alignment station label text size when viewed in model space is fine but when viewed in paper space it comes in way to big. How do i adjust this so i see things in paper space as they are in the model?
Second - Would like to adjust the station label style from the defalt 0+00.00 to 0+000.000
I have two different label styles set up under Profile > Label Styles > Major Station.
I would like to have one of these labels applied to tangents in my profile and a the other one to curves.
I have a profile view created with several surfaces including a proposed surface. The stationing on the X-Axis of the profile view corresponds correctly with the PT's, PC's etc on the proposed surface profile, however the the labels that are actually on the profile line are giving me values such as PC: 0+668.62 when it should read 21+93.63.
I can't seem to find a correlation in the two numbers and am having difficulty changing the style to correctly reflect the stationing.
how to set-up a style what i want to do is label the station and offset of the insertion point of a block by selecting that block and placing the name of the block at the end of the label. as such it would read sta: 14+58.25 - L12.50' P Pole

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an alignment and have station labels. The alignment is labeled with "Major Stations" at every 100 feet. I need to change the station increment to 25 feet and have labels. I have done this although station 1+25 is still reading 1, station 1+50 is reading 1, etc. There is a precision variable somewhere, and I can't figure it out. I have played with the alignment labels style but no luck. Is there a global drawing settings somewhere that might be controlling this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to edit labels for a particular alignment. All labels are along the same alignment and use the same alignment style. I need to change "defl." in each of those labels to "defl:". So simply changing the period to a colon. But it is a lot of work to go through each label and then in edit label text and then change it. Plus, I have to do this on 12 sheets. That's like 300 labels! Is there a quick way to achieve this. If it were simple mtext or dtext then I could use the find and replace option, but these are civil 3d alignment station offset labels? Is there a lisp that can accomplish this task? I am using Civil 3D 2010.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am a landscape architect trying to xref in civil backgrounds. I have noticed twice now from two different civil firms that some of the civil symbols (dynamic blocks) are having visibility issues in paper space. No the viewport layers are not turned off or frozen. No the views weren't placed using the sheet set manager. Yes the blocks are created on layer zero and yes the associated layer is not off or frozen. I don't believe these blocks are annotative blocks. They appear, as expected, perfectly clear in model space. I just toggel over to paper space and "poof" they've disappeared.

View 5 Replies View Relatedjust wondering if any of you know the command that I can use in order to align my text in papr space. I'm running 2011 and 2013 C3D. I have several callouts that are in a row, and I COULD draw a line straight down and just move them all to it, but that's a very inefficient way of getting this done. At the last company I worked, we had a command in the system simply called LINEUP that would align any text we wanted either horizontally or vertically. If this is a button I can create with code or whatever, I could try to do that too, if necessary. Just might take me a while to do the code, but I know there's a more efficient way of performing this task.

I've made them very tiny in Model space but they still end up huge in Layout.

Have tried recovering... moving the geometry is not an option. Have also tried toggling "Projection" on and off as suggested in other threads
This seems to have been a long standing issue and its surprising there yet seems to be a fix. Have made the same post in an AutoCAD 2011 as a reply to a board on the same issue.

My question is when you Create Reference Grid, it seems to default the text and grid to black in color (I work with a black background in C3D), so its pretty tough to see. Where do you control the color and text size of this Grid?
View 3 Replies View RelatedEvery time i switch to Paper Space I get a Fatal Error in Civil 3D 2013. What could be casing the crash? It does it in every drawing so it does not appear to be specific to any one perticular drawing.

why is it that simple commands in paperspace like editing text/mtext, moving a single line or erasing objects so slow. it seems like it takes way to long to do simple editing. Makes me what to go back to model space sheet set up. I already did the changes to settings that someone posed "NEW Autocad Performance Tips". I notice a small performance enhancement but still very slow compared to paper space. this happened in files with one layout tab or 10.

I am using Civil3D 2011 and I am working on 1:1 model space scale. When I go to paperspace and open a scaled viewport, the texts and linetype scales change. What can i o to make them look the same as in model space?

I created a date and time stamp to put on a border in paper space. The stamps were created using Mtext with a field. The stamps do not update and show the created time and date. How to create a stamp that updates?
