I recently installed AutoCAD 2012 and have noticed that my crosshairs are moving as if a grid is turned on. I checked my settings and have turned everything off however, the crosshairs continues to move in "jerk-like" movements.
How do I change this?
Recently my cursurs have turned to crosshairs. I have deleted my preferences, I have set cursurs to full size brush tip, yet when I use the crop or marquis tool. all I get is the crosshars.

Illustrator CS5. I made a 32x32 pixel box, put a 32x32 artboard around it, export it at 72 ppi png, with or without antialiasing which doesn't seem to matter whether it's on or off, yet it always exports out as a 33x33 png instead of a 32x32, adding 1 pixel to each side, tested with a higher resolution, doesn't matter saves with 1 extra pixel on each side example 500x500 will become 501x501, when I look at the picture even if it's a solid color square it will make the edges transparent and ruin the picture on the edges making it hard to fix in another program after exported from illustrator. I tried something out when I searched the internet for solutions, I checked in save for web under Image Size it will say my 32x32 square is 33x33 in that screen but in the info window it is 32x32.
I have align to pixel grid turned off if that matters at all.
Sometimes when I am typing in the width and height in the transform window changing the size it was previously, example from 67.354 W to 67 and 55.271 H to 55, instead of going to 67x55 it will change itself to 67.18 and 55.084 that is an example not from an actual thing I did.
i have a problem and it's driving me nuts. I have some corel files with print grid layer button turned on and it's impossible to turn it off.
This have a secondary effect and it's corel hangs up when i try to print the file, start to make the "previous checkings" and never ends.
I am using an ati 6950. (yes i know its not a suggested card) but it runs great other than after 20minutes to an hour worth of use it will freak out when you hover over an object and that object turns to dashed lines. The crosst hair will turn into like 50 diagonal lines and start smearing on the screen. I went in and changed to options from DASH to THICKEN on hover. This has been working for about an hour now.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIn a drawing, the directions aren't pointing at a 90-degree angle with relation to the command ribbon above it. It's rotated a little clockwise, as are the crosshairs. How do I get the crosshairs and viewcube to be parallel with the command ribbon? I don't need to rotate any objects in the drawing, but I think this is messing up what I see in my viewports in the layouts.
View 9 Replies View RelatedIn ModelSpace, when I drag the crosshairs over to the right edge of the screen, the crosshairs will vanish and reappear on the left side of the screen. This is a major problem: If I am reaching for an object off to the right and overshoot with the mouse a little, the crosshairs will suddenly be way over on the left. But much worse than this, I have a toolbar oriented vertically on the right side of the screen. I literally cannot get to that toolbar because the crosshairs swap over to the left side of the screen, instead of changing over to an arrow cursor to make use of the menus.

Multiple times, when I have been working in a file, my cursor can no longer move smoothly over the drawing space. Istead, it moves as if it was in a grid and I can not move the cursor freely. The grid view is off so that is not the problem.

We recently switched to 64-bit ACAD on dell M6500 laptops. I used to use dynamic input all the time, but after the switch I noticed when using Dynamic input turned on, when you go to draw a LINE, after you pick the first point, the mouse "lags" and becomes "glitchy". I had the problem "fixed" once by our IT guy, he updated the driver or something and everything was fine.
But now it is doing it again.
I have been following this tutorial: [URL] .... in which artwork is mapped to the perspective grid.
Towards the end of the video (7:00) a sign is mapped to the left grid then moved perpendicular along the right grid ... this is achieved by holding down the tilde key.
When I hold down the tilde key and move the object (which is selected with the perspective selection tool, with the correct grid selected ) it does not map it perpendicular as in the video.
I have deleted my illustrator preferences file (in case any settings were causing this feature not to work). Also if I create a new object and press the tilde key and drag I can create multiple instances, so the tilde key at least in this case is being recognized.
I have my grid set to 10px (with subdivisions set to 1). Snap to Grid is enabled. I had "Align New Objects To Pixel Grid" checked when I created the document.
When I draw an object, it will snap to the 10px grid as I am drawing it. However, when I go to move the object around, it will not snap to the grid at all. In Photoshop and Fireworks, this was a piece of cake, but in Illustrator I've never been able to get this to work, nor find a solution for it. The only way I can kind of get it to work is to set my grid to 1px, but I really don't want to be zooming in that far constantly when moving things around.
For what it's worth, this is happening in Illustrator CC, but I've had this same issue with older versions as well.
I have recently configured various borders for our Inventor software and have now turned to AutoCAD to do the same.
Within Inventor you can specify grid references around the border. eg A-F along the top and 1-5 on the vertical. Can this be done with AutoCAD 2011????
I have a grid of around 100 points which are spread reasonably evenly.
I need to turn them into a surface as to see the height change between the points more clearly.

Grid on / off command has no effect. Really it doesn't matter if the grid is showing, but it's so annoying! View 1 Replies View RelatedI set a snap for ease of use, e.g. if my intended output scale is 1:50 I will set my snap to 25, this makes drawing lines fast and simple.
When I used the break command in previous versions (I skipped 2011) the break would keep the snap on so I could break either side of a line with a perfect unit gap.
In 2012 when I select the first point it disregards the snap and just puts the break wherever I select on the line meaning the gap is not neat. Is there anyway to put this back the way it was?
