AutoCad :: Make A Grid Bubble Annotative?
Oct 12, 2012I am trying to make a grid bubble annotative so that when I scale the drawing up or down the bubble will stay the same size.

how do I do this?
I'm having an issue with creating a column bubble block that would have an attribute and both be annotative.
I've created a 3/8" dia circle with 3/16" text and the text is NOT annotative. The bottom of the circle is at 0,0 with the text justification at MC
I create the block of the circle and text and make it annotative and save
When I insert it into another drawing, the block inserts properly and scales as desired. The issue is when inserted, I'm NOT given the option to fill in the column # attribute. I can double click and enter text, but this should happen during insertion.
When I create the block, if I do NOT select the attribute as part of the block, I am given the option for the attribute during insertion but it does not scale automatically.
What am I doing wrong? I'm attaching my block as an example.
We are looking for a column grid bubble dynamic block that will allow us to place horizontal or vertical grid lines while the text in the bubble remains in the upright position.
Another thing we need is to allow for column lines close together without overlapping bubbles. In other words, we need to have the ability to have a diagonal line from the bottom or side of the bubble to the column line which allows us to have all bubbles aligned no matter how close the columns grid lines are.
The attribute in the bubble has to be able to have XX.X to fit within the bubble with the first to X's to be either Alpha or Numeric and the last X to be Numeric only.
Can this be made to be Annotative too?
I'm trying to create a 3 digit grid bubble that will align vertically along an elevation, but my grid bubble in use within the project insists on the text being horizontal... Is there any way to force the alignment to vertical...?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen using the perspective grid tool and type, I have a word on the right side of the grid in perspective, and I want to make a shadow of this word flat on the bottom grid. (Like how a tall building casts a shadow flat on the ground)
I tried using the shear tool to do it but it is a bit tricky getting it just right. There must be an easier way to do it within the perspective tool grid.
When I type the word and align it to the bottom grid, how do I rotate it whilst still being aligned in perspective on the bottom grid?If I try and rotate the word using the selection tool it rotates off axis so it is no longer laying flat on the bottom grid.
Words placed on the bottom grid always read from the left vanishing point - I want the word to read from the right vanishing point so it aligns with my word on the right grid wall.
I have a dynamic block that I created with a bunch of visibility, rotate and stretch parameters and actions. When I created said block, I meant to make it annotative but forgot about it during the initial block definition. Is there a way that I can make the block annotative now, or do I have to go back and re make the block all over again?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI created an dynamic block few weeks ago and forgot to make it annotative. I try the ddchprop command, switch annotative to yes but it automatically immediately switch back to no.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have this block with attributes and I go into Block Editor and I can select Annotative Yes (ie it's not greyed out) but when the drop down closes up it stays on No. I ended up cutting and pasting into a different drawing, Block Edit, etc and saving back. But I'm still curious as to why it wouldn't let me put it to Yes.

It has lost it's annotative properties. Is there a way to make a dynamic block that is not annotative, make it annotative. this block has only visibility features.

I am running Autocad arch 2011 (as Autocad 2011) and a co worker is using Autocad electrical 2012 and when he works in a drawing of mine the every annotative scale that is used in the file is attached to every annotative object. Which means I have to go through every object and delete scales that should be be there....all my annotative objects appear in every view port because every annotative object has every scale..
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a co-worker who needs to create a block where the attributes scale with the anno scale, but the block container does not. He's creating a tree block and wants the canopy and trunk attributes to scale without scaling the tree symbol.
Making an attribute annotative and applying the scales to the attributes doesn't seem to work if the block itself isn't annotative.
Are we missing something, or is this just not possible?
Is there any trick that bring in an annotative block into a drawing at the annotative scale you are working in, not the scale the block was created in?

Any better way to go about something similar?
