i need to mark all of my dimensions with a balloon number or make a PPAP "bubble" print. i only know how to use balloon dimensioning for Sub Assy's.

In AutoCAD leader settings you can set the number of point so the leader looks standard. I am searching for this in inventor and am coming up empty. I have seen other engineering drawings where I can tell that the generated data in the balloon was entered from the parts column in the B.O.M. But instead of part numbers, I have seen text. and I have mine set up to generate the Balloons that way but I do not like the leader type it is giving me. The attachment is what my leaders are looking like in inventor.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOne of the drafters I work with has been having an intermittent problem with Inventor 14 deleting dimensions and notes when he prints a .idw to a .pdf. The problem first popped up when we transitioned to 14 from 12. It only happens once out of every 2 dozen or so prints and is usually caught on the redlines, but it has been overlooked once already requiring the part to be remachined at cost to our employer. No one else in our office has had the problem and it continued to happen after a reinstall; which leads me to think it's some hardware issue.
Included is a screenshot of his system information. We're running Synergis Adept file management software, that may be pertinent as well.
I've got a heap of parts(3D) drawn up that are about to be CNC machined up.
The place doing the machining uses Matzak CNC machines that need to have the dimensons manually entered into the machine.
What is the easiest way to turn my parts into plans with all desired dimensions that i can print out and give to the machinist?
I dont no in english if odd number is the right word but i want to make all my number to 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, etc,....

I have a part number that i want to defined in custom properties.
Then would it be possible to call it out in Ilogic? that way in any drawing doesn't matter where the part number will always be the same for that part when i balloon and the same in the BOM.
I am formatting a Bible for a client. The text was provided with verse numbers before each verse, but each chapter is one long paragraph. Now the client has decided they want each verse to begin a new paragraph. How can I globally insert an End of Paragraph mark before each superscrpt verse number?

After I open it, the predetermine dimensions (which I select to display the dimension in Inventor) are right. However, the dimension goes wrong if I do a new measurement on the Layout using Autocad. View 3 Replies View RelatedCurrently when I create a new layer within an image, and set the horizontal and vertical size using “inches” instead of “pixels,” and display the image at 100%, it shows 10 tick marks in the ruler to equal 1 inch.
I want rulers in my image to be scaled at 1/8”. Therefore, it should show 8 tick marks in the ruler with each tick mark (incremental unit) to represent the 1/8” scale. Example: 4 tick marks would equal ½”.
I would like the size of bearing to be included in addition to existing data to the File name, Part number and Browser name like for example the DIN 625 T1 does. I have copied the DIN 625 bearings to the custom library. I have added required info to File Name building and to the Part Number building in the custom library and now my Filename and Part Number are as I like to.
But I cannot find how to force the Browser name to be equal to Part number or File Name? [URL]

It works great unless the item on the additional sheet is a sub-assembly. I believe it is because PartDef is declared as a PartComponentDefinition and there is nothing in the code to handle an assembly.

The Set partDef line was giving me a runtime error when it came to an assembly in the BOM until I added
"On Error Resume Next" at the start of the loop.
I tried changing the declaration to ComponentDefinition. It compiled fine, but didn't do anything. I think I'll have to add some duplicate code to handle an assembly in the BOM. Is there a better way to do this? Am I even on the right track?
How do I attach text to a balloon? For example, I want to add the text "2X" alongside the balloon to denote that there are 2 instances of this part.
I can't believe that you need to make a text box each and every time you need to do this! There has to be a simpler way.
If a balloon style is set to "Linear" the text in that balloon is automatically left aligned. If a balloon style is set to "None" the text in that balloon is automatically center aligned.
Is it possible to create a balloon with the balloon style set to "None", and have the text left aligned in a drawing document. Typically the balloon text is more that one line . The new line in inserted by pressing ctrl+Enter in the override value of the balloon.
I dont know if this is possible but what i am trying to do is create a custom detail ballon & outline similar to what is attached. this is how our client wants it to look & currently we create the detail & then sketch the outline & add a sketched symbol which has the identifier. We then turn off the detail layer which has the default outline.
