Feb 15, 2012I am using autocad 2012 new.. i hav problem with MOVE!
i am selecting an object to move but rather than moving it alone its moving like stretch!

Photoshop :: Move Tool Is Very Inaccurate When Selecting Object
May 15, 2013there's an invisible 10px border around each object/shape. it's so frustrating when i'm working on small icons or whatnot.i'll try and give an example the best i can... say i have two squares overlapping and are offset from each other by a 5px or so. if i want to select the back square, i'd normally... click on the part of the square i can see. in cs6, if i just click on the visible part of said square, it would select the front square. i have to click at least 10px out from the back square to select it.

Moving or rotating the UCS can make it easier to work on particular areas of a drawing. However when selecting an object or a portion of the dwg. crossing - window , (a good exemple is stretching) the selection of the area is still 'rectangular' from the ortho of 0° or 90°. This cross-window selection should follow the direction of the ortho angle selected. Is there a command or a setting in order for this operation to take place? IF NOT for future autoCad releases or a update for current releases should be reviewed and implemented

If you select an object and then drag it, it moves. This is without initiating the MOVE command and without picking any grips.

May 22, 2012When I copy or move an object in a file converted from Microstation to Autocad 2012 the system freezes or slows down to a crawl. If I redraw the drawing in Autocad it works fine. I have a lot of drawings converted from Microstation and I don't need to be redrawing them all.

Sep 25, 2008I am having a problem with a delay in selecting an object and selecting a command.
When I select an object the pointer has at least a 3 second delay before it starts moving around normally again. It is the same with selecting a command. This has started to get tedious. It has worked fine in the past so I don't think it is a RAM/graphics card problem.

Jun 30, 2012I`m having trouble selecting the correct constraints which will allow the pin to move up and down with in the guided slots.
Another issue i cannot seem to get perfect is the ends of the guide slots.I used fillet (fillet 2) but i do not think the pin will hot the top as there is a slope.Could the coil sketch be causing this problem.

Dec 24, 2012What happened to the option/enter command in the move object dialog that has been around since the early days of Illustrator??? Instead of having to mouse click the "copy" button in the move object window, one could just hold down option with Return or Enter and the Copy command would happen rather than a simple move. Immensely useful for prepress work!

Before this problem appears, if I select one line then another line one-by-one, they are all selected.
But now, when I select one line then another line one-by-one, only last one is highlighted as selected (dashed line, two blue endpoints, and one blue middlepoint), the other one is not.
How do I switch back to the previous one?
AutoCad 3D :: Object And End Point Selecting
Jul 2, 2012I am trying to select End point of line for drawing rectangle and trying to select rectangle in PressPull command but i am not able to select in one side on other side i can do very nicely.
I am using AutoCAD 2012. first i draw floor plan in 2D . Then i switch to 3D Basic mode and i like to PressPull windows so i like to place and draw rectangle for PressPull but not able to do.

Sep 23, 2012I created a legend in paperspace with a white background hatch. I want to move all of the text and symbols. When I select everything at the same time, it also grabs the hatch fill underneath. I can't do a window select to grab everything and shift select to subtract out of the hatch underneath.

Photoshop :: Move Tool In CC Selecting Hidden Layers Too
Jun 19, 2013I'm using the Photoshop CC in Windows8 64x as trial and find a curious bug with the Move Tool:Usually I select multiple layers creating a selection with the Move Tool on them, but in this new CC version the tool is selecting hidden layers too. More details: the hidden layer are inside a folder. The folder is hidden, but the inside layers are not.
This type of selection has always worked perfectly in previously versions, and of course, I leave the option "Auto Select> Layer" enabled.
Maya :: 2014 Move Is Selecting Other Objects Instead Of Moving?
Jul 8, 2013We are just trying out Maya 2014 and seem to have found a little problem that we cannot seem to work around!
If we say have two object and we select one of them, if we then try to move that object along one axis, it moves a very small amount and then selects the other object, but neither move any more, if we unselect the second object and then try to move it again the same thing happens.
We are using a Wacom Tablet as the main pointing device and all three butttons are set right, and we have also tried a mouse and this does the same. We do have a 3Dconnexion Space Pilot Pro also connected but this has been disconnected to see if this caused the issue somehow but without it connected the issues is still aparent.
Works fine on 2013 no issues at all, but the problem just seems to effect the move tool in Maya 2014.
I have checked that soft selection is disabled and it is? maybe I have inadvertedly hit a shortcut sequence to switch something on or off, but cannot find anything else amiss.

Aug 23, 2012i switched from CS5 to CS6 Extended (Win 7 64bit) and I'm a little bit confused about the select/move tool (V). I have "automatic selection" activated and when I click on a layer, Photoshop often selects a nearby layer but not the one I'm clicking at - often the layer selected is more on top of the layer I was planning to select, but that was no problem in CS5 ... Is there anything I can change in the settings or is this behavior "normal"?
For example - a cursor placed at the marked position selected the white arrow-vector-shape.

AutoCAD 2010 :: Set UCS Angle By Selecting Two Points
Apr 12, 2013In previous version you can rotate the UCS around the Z axis by tying UCS Z at the command prompt and then you were prompted to select two points to defin the angle. Now it uses a point at the ucs icon as the first point and only allows me to pick the second point. Is there a way to pick two points to define the UCS angle? I tried setting the UCS Origin to the first point and that did not work.

audit doesn't find anything
Qsave does work but I would prefer not to use it due to sharing drawing xrefs with others means that they constantly have to keep reloading the xrefs
Have tried reinstalling autocad but that doesn't make it work.
Currently have a NVIDIA Quadrow 3500 which is probably not the correct one.

I extruded the leaf 1" first, then tried to copy it on a solid cylinder of a vase, but it didn't work!!! It seems to be simple, maybe not!

Dec 18, 2006I edited a .jpeg in Photoshop, and removed the baground. I have a picture of a snowflake. It is on a blue rectangular background. I ONLY ant the snowflake in Publisher, so I edited the picture in Photoshop and now I have JUST the snowflake with softened edges in Photoshop. But when I go to paste it into Publishe, I always get an image with a white rectagular background, which defeats the purpose of the editing in the first place.. How do I get JUST the snowflake layer to paste into the flyer?

Jul 8, 2011I just upgraded from Autocad LT to Autocad 2012 (full version). When I go to select a hatch pattern by left clicking on it the program locks up. Then I have to "force-close" Autocad 2012 and loose some of my work. It has done this in several diferent drawings. Autocad LT does not have this problem.
I have a HP Z workstation with 6 gigs of ram and an Intel I-5 processor (very fast machine) with a quadro fx 380 grahics card.
I tried reinstalling Autocad 2012 and that didn't work. Not sure what to do.
Photoshop :: Selecting Background Of Object?
Jul 2, 2012I selected an object (a hand) using the magic wand tool and filled it in, black. I want to select everything else in the image (other then the hand I just filled in), and fill it in white. What is the bes way of going about this? Can I fill in the hand white, and so some kind of inverse of the image? (The background is of an office, so lots of different colors and objects).

May 20, 2011Version Autocad 2010. I have drawings with multiple objects that are in a horizontal line and touching. I want to make 2 buttons that will move each object horizontally by .35 inch, 1 button would move the object left and 1 right. There are 2 pieces of text that go with each object. I would like to select the object and texts and hit the button to have all selected move. My problem is in writing the base point and displacement parts of the macro. I think it would start with "_Move;" but I can't get past that. I used the action recorder to make the macro but can not find a way to convert that to a button.

For instance if I want to select a pine tree in forest and the tree is in the foregrond and there are trees of the same color in the background, I have found it hard to select because of the similar colors...all of the tutorials I have seen all have a single color back ground ie a girl with hair and doing a refind edge is pretty straight forward....but how do you do that with a busy background..(for instance ) I want to select a pine tree with all of it componets and plant it in the middle of the desert.
