1. AutoCAD 2011, new user & new install. I’m going throught the tutorials and have lost ability to repeat past ability to do tasks. One being to highlight an object and then delete using the Delete key. Second example being lost is to left click a drawn line and then to hit delete. Is this a setup problem?

We also tried for "HIDEPRECISION=1" command , even then not displaying it.
Then we use "OBSCUREDLTYPE=1" then the missing object display but other all lines get too dark in the same drawing .
For sample , I have attached one pdf , in which you can see the missing line and object marked with bluecolor box.

I made a 3D box shape in AutoCAD. I would like to draw a line on one of the surfaces of the box. Also I know you can use the the linear tool under Annotations to display dimensions of 2D lines. But I don't know how to do it so that it that shows the dimension on a vertical axis as shown in the picture below.

Attached is the Untitle.jpg, to make more clearer to you. Blue is the wall and skyblue is the aquarium. I want the back and the front of the aquarium don't have any line in the middle but even I do shade command the fill of the color is still there. I want to erase the watermark and x mark from a istock image for comping purposes. What is the easiest/fastest way to do this? Clone Stamp/patch tool? If stamp tool, how do you get the tool to delete the x line in a straight line. Mine always copys pixels next to it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWe are creating a new company title block for the use in Inventor 2010 and AutoCAd 2010. It has initially been generated in Inventor and exported to AutoCAD. My problem is that all attributes that came over are now setup as multiline attributes and I can't seem to change them to single line. Therefore you have to open the multiline editor separately for every single item to make changes in lieu of just 'tabbing' through the values in the Enhanced Attribute Editor. This adds time and frustration and seems to be intolerable for some of my colleagues.
Is there a way to change the attributes to a single line in AutoCAD I'm just not aware of? I tried to find different settings for the export from Inventor but the options seem to be very limited.
I could probably go over this and create separate AutoCad only titleblock and border but that would kind of defeat the purpose.
I created some new custom line types using express tool featute in autocad and I saved it with a .lin extension. It is only available in that drawing itself. How I canget those line type in all my new drawings.
I tired to edit the default linetype file even it doesnot appear in the linetype manger windo.

I extruded the leaf 1" first, then tried to copy it on a solid cylinder of a vase, but it didn't work!!! It seems to be simple, maybe not!
When I select an object and pan to make another selection the first object "deselects". The object(s) will stay selected until I pan and as soon as I start to pan the grips go away and the object(s) is deselected.

I have done all the basic steps of purging, audit, recovering, even tried mapclean and I still cannot delete it.
How to delete all labels on a feature line? Ideally if we could just pick the line and have it's labels deleted. QSelect and Select Similar require too much interaction to be convenient.

I now have a need to mirror about a line but the line is partially inside the object (so after mirroring the object would be overlapped). When I select both objects and try to create the mirror, the "axis" of the reflection is simply the edge of the object, not the line.
When the line was outside, that worked simply because when you selected both objects the line brought the outside of both selected objects to that point so it simply mirrored / reflected at that point (the line). So the line was not truly acting as a point of reflection. Hope that made sense.
I think I'm about to buy Cadtools from Macromonster but I would like to know if Draw has a way of acheiving this. Hey I may find out Cadtools can't reflect when the line is inside the object.
where various icons on your palettes just disappear? the function is still there, but no image. attached is an example where the "Add", "Delete" etc icons have gone. other times the on/off freeze/thaw images will be gone.

They include "Amzigzag" " Amconstr" "ACISOTGB" and others.
If I delete everytjing in my drawing and purge the linetypes are still there. They even appear if I load old drawings that din't have these linetypes initially.

I have a drawing & when I pan I can see a lot of extra information hidden by wipeouts.
Any easy way to erase all of that & leave what I can see, without panning, intact?
When I try to copyclip what I can see it grabs everything including the hidden objects.
Unfortunately whoever did the drawing didn't put all the hidden info on one layer.
is there a way to delete extra colors from the properties tab?

My some autocad files were slowed down. For example i wait about 10 seconds when i edit a text.
Afterwards i see too many text styles in format/text styles command. i want to delete text styles but i can't.
it says "style in use, can't be deleted". I dont know where these text styles come from. Other files when they are infected with the virus, such as. Also have $ signs in text style names.
