where various icons on your palettes just disappear? the function is still there, but no image. attached is an example where the "Add", "Delete" etc icons have gone. other times the on/off freeze/thaw images will be gone.
View 7 RepliesHaving decided Revel was not appropiate to my use, I've tried to delete the Revel icons from every jpg in my catalog and delete the mobile album from my Organizer, to no avail. Also would like to disable/delete auto analyzer since it uses so much CPU resources.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI just installed the 2011 update (recomended). Now, on restart, all my butto icons are gone! The buttons are still active but I can't see them. They highlight when I roll over but the icon doesn't show up.

With 2011 I have noticed my DWG icons in explorer are displaying the generic icon and not the new DWG icon.I have gone through the Folder options and File Types tab to try to reassign it but no luck.

Just installed AutoCAD 2012, started to set up my tools and found many of the ACAD toolbars displaying the wrong, or no icon for the commands. Example: Modify TB
displays "move" for erase
"mirror" for rotate
"fillet" for explode
This is true with the Draw TB, Dimension TB, UCS TB...and more..I have not even customized any toolbars yet...just turned on/off the AutoCAD ones.
Layer manager keep loosing the icons that represent a function. When you open layer manager, there are some icons on top of the layer manager page, one functions as make layer current, the other one to create a new layer & so on. these icons after a few time that we use layer command they all disappear, the only way to fix it is to close autocad & open it again. Of course if we use classic layer manager then things are ok but classic layer manage rhas uts own problems & limitations also.
My own guess is that the commad "layer" which invoke layer manager has memory leak, & when it is used a few time basically makes your system works on less memory resources & the only way to fix it is to abort the operation & start every thing all over again.
I'm encountering disable of Delete key. Normally i use "Delete" key to erase object after it is selected. Since yesterday i can't use that key anymore. How to check the setting. I'm sure its not keybord's issue coz i can still use the key in other program(Excel & Word).
View 3 Replies View RelatedToday I noticed 6 or 7 linetypes that have appeared in every drawing I open and cannot be deleted.
They include "Amzigzag" " Amconstr" "ACISOTGB" and others.
If I delete everytjing in my drawing and purge the linetypes are still there. They even appear if I load old drawings that din't have these linetypes initially.

I have a drawing & when I pan I can see a lot of extra information hidden by wipeouts.
Any easy way to erase all of that & leave what I can see, without panning, intact?
When I try to copyclip what I can see it grabs everything including the hidden objects.
Unfortunately whoever did the drawing didn't put all the hidden info on one layer.
1. AutoCAD 2011, new user & new install. I’m going throught the tutorials and have lost ability to repeat past ability to do tasks. One being to highlight an object and then delete using the Delete key. Second example being lost is to left click a drawn line and then to hit delete. Is this a setup problem?

My some autocad files were slowed down. For example i wait about 10 seconds when i edit a text.
Afterwards i see too many text styles in format/text styles command. i want to delete text styles but i can't.
it says "style in use, can't be deleted". I dont know where these text styles come from. Other files when they are infected with the virus, such as. Also have $ signs in text style names.
I am running AutoCAD 2011 on Windows 7 via BootCamp. The Delete Key does not function to erase lines. I have set Pickfirst to 1 and ensured Noun/Verb is checked on. I have tried pressing just the Delete key and also FN Delete, which is the correct combination for Delete on the MacBook Pro keyboard.

I've uninstalled and resinstalled the application more than once. After an uninstall, I went through all directories and deleted all remaining files and folders that had either Autodesk or AutoCAD in the name and spent 1 1/2 hrs sifting through the registry and eliminating all Autodesk and AutoCAD entries. I then reinstalled the application (AutoCAD 2010), and the user is still having the same issues.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI just downloaded AutoCAD 2012 on my imac running on my Parallels system, meaning I have the Windows version or AutoCAD 2012 running on parallels. (Because there are too many problems with AutoCAD for mac).
There is one problem however, I cannot delete by using 'backspace' on my mac keyboard. I always have to right click the selected object and go to erase. Does there exist a keyboard shortcut for erase?
Something that's been driving me around the bend lately. I have a drawing, with a viewport which I cannot select. I have unfrozen all layers, ticked the 'Selection Cycling' box, but no lines show. It's just there, a viewport, but with no viewport polyline. No way of deleting, or clipping, or doing anything with it.

I have deleted everything out of the drawing, done "select all" numerous times and deleted, but this layer still won't let itself be deleted. I have made sure it is not the current layer, w blocked the whole drawing etc. There was an ole image in this drawing at some stage, could that have left this horrible layer "25L"???

I'm trying to add rows above rows in the middle of a table. The options under Rows are all grey/not available. The last row will allow me to add a row below and the top row will allow me to add a row above. I'm unable to Delete rows, too. The table is not listed as locked or anything. Aside from retyping the table, is there something I need to do to be able to edit the table?

I checked all of the cells and the table in general, but none of it is locked.
I have several days of experience with Autocad 2010... The problem: I have many (a lot) polylines in my 2D drawing that are adjacent to each other, but not joined. What is a good way of joining them, so that those that "touch" each other become one? Maybe I can hatch the area, then delete polylines and then reconstruct the boundary?

Everything else has normal icons (i.e. Illustrator files) but the Photoshop files are blank. This is true whether I'm on any type of viewer format, i.e. details, thumbnails.
