I have a crane shot. I'd like to insert an object (a little more rock on the cliff) in this crane shot. I've tried this with AE CC. Everything looks great AFTER the the crane shot is down moving up. :-/ (I used the 3D camera tracker.) The perspective on the object appears rather odd as the crane shot is moving up.
What would be the best way to approach this project?
what i want to do is to draw a line that represents a train trace over the ground. I started using the camera tracker and creating a null and a camera and then got lost.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a template I am working with that I want to insert video clips into. The template has jpegs that say "insert photo or video here". How do I swap the jpeg with the video clip without losing the keyframes and effects? I'm not well-versed enough to just re-do them all. I am using the templates to learn the program but to also build a few videos for the non-profit I work for.
Another thought I had was if it was possible to copy all the attributes/effects/keyframes from one media piece to another. So if I were to add the video clip to the composition and copy the attributes from the template photo to the video clip I just added and then make the template photo invisible.
I'm working on a PC with Adobe Production Suite CS5.5 -- doing my rough cuts in Premiere and my final edits in After Effects.
The final deliverable of the vidoe will be in MPEG-4.
Is there anyway to drop in a timed subtitle text file, either .txt or .srt, into After Effects of Premiere Pro CS5.5?
I have a project where we are considering shooting scenes using blank canvasses as props, and putting images of paintings in afterwards using AE. best way to proceed, both for the shoot and for the work in post?

I selected my object I want it pasted onto, I then opened up my materials editor, under maps and then standard I selected Bitmap and selected my image. The image bitmap is showing up in the materials editor viewport but I cant apply it any objects (Assign material to selection icon is unavailable).

1. Within the mtext box, right click and select "insert field"
2. Choose "linked"
3. Choose "Hyperlink"
4. Type in the web address in the box to allow autodesk to load the website
5. Choose "insert link"

7. Exit text editor.
When I exit the text editor, the program crashes.

I have the hook working how i want, it is just getting the boom cable and arm to work that is giving me trouble (they create the triangle you can see in the images). I just need it so that if i rotate the arm then in pulls the cable, which in turn pulls the end of the boom, while keeping the other end of the boom fixed (the cable doesn't change length, it is always in tension). I have been messing around with IK solvers but i really don't have enough time to mess around with trial and error!

I used the cable and harness tool, but it didn't seem to account for the presences of the cables I made when I ran a stress analysis, which I need to do.
How would I create a string or an object that would function similarly?

I need to blur a moving object:
- The effect is only needed at some point of the video, it must appear, and then disappear, not being on screen the whole time.
- The object is moving, and changing shape, the blur must adapt to it.
- I've been trying to use the "Track Motion" option with Position & Rotation, then the "Analyze Forward" button, but the thing makes a mess all over, it's not following the object at all, then if You try to adjust it manually, it's only done in 1 frame, in the other frames the thing is off the object, then the "Tracking" stays on screen.
I was just wondering whether you can resize an object using keyframes. I want to have the object start small and then project and open out and grow. Is this possible?

The problem is, the one at the top always reign and doesnt let other stroke effects on masks to appear. I reckon the problem is the background of the solid object. If this is the problem, how can I change the transparency of the background. If not, what might the problem be ?
is it possible to move a layer (with a mask) without affecting its mask position and without precomposing the layer? Much like in Photoshop, where you can achieve this by using vector masks. Let`s say I have a video-layer that has a square mask added to it. The mask is already perfectly positioned in the comp. I don`t want to move or adjust it any further. But I`m not pleased with the framing of the source material. If I`m moving the frame then, the masks moves along with it. Is there a way to get rid of this cohesion of mask and layer?

I was watching a video on YouTube on how to make an explosion. However, the video is not very useful. The part I am stuck on is when he makes a "patch" of the texture in the driveway, and then he covers up his explosive box. After that, he copies the box and is able to make appear and dissapear.

when i change the angle of an object it effects the whole project, so if i have selected an circle and put the angle of a drop shadow to 90 degrees then i selected a recltangle and set drop shadow angle tp 120 degrees the circle will change to also be 120, does it always do this or am i just doing something wrong?

When turn and stack them the shadow has changed its angel in relation to the artwork. I don't see where to lock the drop shadow to the object. Or is it secified a different way?
