Lightroom :: Can Quickly Locate Which Files Have Been Exported From LR
May 27, 2012Is there any way that I can quickly locate which files have been exported from LR? I often have to work 2 or 3 sets, and will need to wait for approval from different art directors, product managers, etc. sometimes for days, and I often find myself wondering which was the photo I sent to them- the differences are often very minimal, and by the time they get back to me, I've forgotten them anyway. I know I can flag them, rate them, etc. and obviously I can look at the file in photoshop ( where it has been exported to) but I really would like to know if there is a quick telltale that I can spot in LR.

Jan 6, 2013i just noticed that i have some images, jpg and tiff, which are shown to have SIDECAR FILES in the EXFIPTC metadata display.
These files have many dates, some more than 20 years old and shot on film and scanned on nikon slide scanner. Actually, the images in question were NEVER raw files..
i do not remember how i may have done this. i have used LR from the beginning and so i am certain that at some time i checked the wrong box.
i cannot seem to find those which have sidecar files by searching, even using ANY FILTER plug-in (although i am not certain i have used it correctly).
Can i find these sidecar files? perhaps there will be some clue as to why they are there.
i have added a sentence noting that these files were never raw files.
Lightroom :: Unable To Locate Files After Move 4.1?
Jun 12, 2012During importing specifically "Moving" a selection of pictures from one location on internal drive to another location on internal drive, after I tagged the pictures with keywords, Lightroom crashed.
Now when I go to Previous import the pictures are not found. Neither are the files in the location I move them to. When I do a search for the images with the keywords I tagged those images with, I can't locate them. I don't see them in the Trash either.
Now, I have no idea where those images are. This is very bad. I guess I'll have to use Finder to move the images first then "Add" them to Lightroom afterwards. It's a good thing I was paying attention when I did the import.

Premiere Pro :: Moving Files And Getting An Error After Using Locate
Apr 16, 2014I often move files over to external drives to recover space. If I go to a project and get files missing, I then use locate to find the files but when I clcik on the located file I get a file not supported error though it is the same file.

May 12, 2013Auto save, in my opinion, is a pain, so I have removed the tick from the box and hope never to see it again.
Are these temporary files? Or are they saved to an unknown location to build up into a every increasing file. I have inspected the X5 folders and files, but can't locate where these files end up.

Oct 28, 2012I'm making a tower crane for a project and I need to have strings that are attached to the top of the tower and the end of the boom and another that attaches to the top of the tower and the rear boom. I used the cable and harness tool, but it didn't seem to account for the presences of the cables I made when I ran a stress analysis, which I need to do.
How would I create a string or an object that would function similarly?
Revit :: Unable To Locate Family Files For Model From Another Firm
Nov 3, 2011I need to modify a curtain wall mullion profile and a plumbing fixture for a model created by another firm. I see the family (e.g Rectangular Mullion) on the project browser window, but I cannot locate the actual rfa file.
For the the Plumbing fixture, I can click on the fixture, and select "edit family", but it saves a new family instead of telling me where the orginal rfa is located.
Obviously, since the model is from another firm, the rfa file is not located on the server where our firm typically stores family files. It's not on the C:// Program Data/ Autodesk/ RAC2011/ Imperial Library...

Aug 25, 2012I have recently moved my photo files to a different harddrive from their original location. Some of these images had been included in "collections" prior to the move. Now, when I open a "collection", the photo files are no longer associated with the collection. How do I reassign a location to these files in these collections?
I have already reassigned the photo files in the catalog to their new harddrive location.

Oct 29, 2013I am new to rigging! I have the hook working how i want, it is just getting the boom cable and arm to work that is giving me trouble (they create the triangle you can see in the images). I just need it so that if i rotate the arm then in pulls the cable, which in turn pulls the end of the boom, while keeping the other end of the boom fixed (the cable doesn't change length, it is always in tension). I have been messing around with IK solvers but i really don't have enough time to mess around with trial and error!

Oct 26, 2013I have a crane shot. I'd like to insert an object (a little more rock on the cliff) in this crane shot. I've tried this with AE CC. Everything looks great AFTER the the crane shot is down moving up. :-/ (I used the 3D camera tracker.) The perspective on the object appears rather odd as the crane shot is moving up.
What would be the best way to approach this project?

Mar 14, 2011I am having some difficulty using the XREF/Block insertion using 'Locate using Geographic Data'. This does not seem to locate anything using Geographic Info. I have found a large discrepancy with this process in the order of 100's of meters. I am using SA-17S (dwg 1) in my drawing and WGS84-17S (dwg 2) in the drawing I want to insert.
When I attach dwg 2 to dwg 1 and set the coordinate systems using the assign coordinate system and query in data, everything matched and is coincidental, but when I insert or XREF using the 'Locate using Geographic Data', there is an enormous error.
AutoCAD .NET :: How To Locate Text Near Block Reference
May 24, 2012I have tried to use intersectwith to locate text (MText or DBText) near a block reference. Some times it works and some times it does not. The hard part for me is understanding why it occasionally works when most examples are just duplicates with modified text and attributes.
My block reference has 4 attributes to the left (Right Justified) of a circle and 2 attributes inside the circle. The text objects are used by some CAD operators instead of the upper 2 lines of attributtes. (Guess they dont know how to modify attributes) I want to locate these texts and insert text into the corresponding attribute.

Jun 18, 2012I was working in model space and when I hit zoom extents, I lost all of my drawings in model space. They must be there because I can see them in layout, but I am not able to locate them in model. For some reason my cross hairs and the ability to draft have disappeared too. I am sure I must have hit a setting that needs to be changed back.

Jul 10, 2013my colleague that is on holidays right now sent some civil 3d drawings that contain data references to another office and they are having broken reference issues with the surfaces. I opened the drawing in our office and the surfaces are there and showing the data ref symbols in prospector but when i look through the data shortcuts folder below in prospector the surfaces are not there.
how do i locate the .xml files or if they have been deleted how do these surfaces appear in my drawing.
AutoCAD Inventor :: How To Locate Orphaned Dimensions On Drawing Document
Apr 16, 2012After looking thru the api, i'm finding it hard to get a list of orphaned dimensions.
I can get a list of all the dimensions...easy.
I've basically deleted a part from the assembly and now want to remove that dimension in a section view on the drawing document.
But looking / comparing the properties of a non-orphaned vs an orphaned shows nothing.
Is there an orphaned list?
Is there a color override switch somewhere?
Or can I somehow get the object that the dimension is trying to reference and check to see if it is valid or has a valid file reference...or something?

Have been using Inventor for 6 months or so after being on Solidowrks for many years.
With the settings I have from the start I have been avoiding using adaptivity because it causes more problems than it seems to fix. Just ran into this problem a few minutes ago.
Basic rect angle iron frame, put holes in them for fasteners. Created the cover and constrained it to the frame assembly. Used project geometry to locate all the holes in the frame onto the cover. Use the "Hole" feature and everything is good with the world.
Then changed the side pc of the frame, shortened it by 1.25 inches. Would not update until I deleted the cover and the fasteners. Even then I had to go thru all the constraints I used, edit them back to the number I had used. Once I did all that the frame was the correct size.
I must be missing something serious, it has to be easier than this to use adaptive parts.

Lightroom :: Cannot Locate Images
Apr 28, 2013I did a family session and had the family decide on 54 images they liked that I would edit and I placed them into a collection and editted them well I created a folder in my pictures portion of my computer to place the editted version and now lightroom is stating that the image cannot be found and I tried relocating them to direct them to where they live in the computer file but it states that there are other pictures similar would you like to view this and I hit open but nothing happens so I am extremly worried I have lost these images I dont have backup that exist..
