I have a project where we are considering shooting scenes using blank canvasses as props, and putting images of paintings in afterwards using AE. best way to proceed, both for the shoot and for the work in post?
View 9 RepliesIs there a way to send this individual lower resolution images so he can work on them and then have him send me the metadata from his edits, so I can apply them to the images I have on my system? The reason for this question is because I'd like to minimize the size of the images I'm sending to the editor, but still be able to produce high resolution stills.
I understand there is a way to work with RAW images and save the metadata, but that doesn't fix the file size issue, and you can only save certain aspects like white balance, levels, etc... I really need a way to capture his history and save that to a file, that way if he were to use a certain filter, or brush on the image, the same results would be applied to my images.
I'm tearing my hair out after creating an iPod jukebox style ad (i.e. album cover carousel) where the pix made with the LEFT perspective using Mold tool work fine, but the two made with RIGHT perspective using Mold tool come out skewed rather than moulded after exporting to PDF.
All images are jpegs; I've checked and am doing exact same process on either side. Tried killing the images in bitmap gallery and re-importing - makes no difference.
From the release notes: "Catalog containing images processed with PV2003 were adding a post-crop vignette when catalog upgraded to Lightroom 5"
Does that mean all my PV2003 images (10,000+) now have a post-crop vignette included in their edit history? Or some? Or some special combination? I converted my v4.4 catalog a couple of days after v5.0 was released, so I really don't want to go back to my old v4.4 catalog and re-convert..
I am able to print the document without the gradient/fountain fill. I have been trying to print an image with gradient/fountain fill and the gradient image will not print...
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a template I am working with that I want to insert video clips into. The template has jpegs that say "insert photo or video here". How do I swap the jpeg with the video clip without losing the keyframes and effects? I'm not well-versed enough to just re-do them all. I am using the templates to learn the program but to also build a few videos for the non-profit I work for.
Another thought I had was if it was possible to copy all the attributes/effects/keyframes from one media piece to another. So if I were to add the video clip to the composition and copy the attributes from the template photo to the video clip I just added and then make the template photo invisible.
I'm working on a PC with Adobe Production Suite CS5.5 -- doing my rough cuts in Premiere and my final edits in After Effects.
The final deliverable of the vidoe will be in MPEG-4.
Is there anyway to drop in a timed subtitle text file, either .txt or .srt, into After Effects of Premiere Pro CS5.5?
I have a crane shot. I'd like to insert an object (a little more rock on the cliff) in this crane shot. I've tried this with AE CC. Everything looks great AFTER the the crane shot is down moving up. :-/ (I used the 3D camera tracker.) The perspective on the object appears rather odd as the crane shot is moving up.
What would be the best way to approach this project?

When I insert and image to my Autocad drawing for some reason I can only see the image from a top view. I change the view from top to left so I can try and rotate the image so I can see it from the front view. I am not sure what to do.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to Map 3d 2010 to Mapd 3d 2013 and i cannot figure out how to find the commands to insert images or import/export shp files.
I'm running 2013 in "autocad classic" and did so with 2010 as well. 2010 had a menu bar pull down called "Map" where I could insert an image (Image->Insert). There was also in 2010 a toolbar named "Map" that had import shp, export shp and assign coordinate system.
I can't find any of this in 2013. I can't even find the commands in the customization to create my own toolbar. The commands work (mapiinsert, mapimport, mapexport and ADESETCRDSYS) but i can't find them listed anywhere.
In After effects when i tried to render a file in HD resolution all the text and images are getting pixelate.

I have a film made from thousands of images that I would like to apply an effect to. There are quite a few posts on here about the subject but tend to end in,
"against the rules, thread locked"
Is there anything out there that can apply the same effect to thousands of images?
Is there any way to get the transitions of the separate effects on images? That is, to an effect at 100 and then place it to 0, getting all the images from 100 to 0 (100 images).
View 3 Replies View RelatedI really don't remember this happening in Lr 3.5, but it is in Lr 4.1-3 and only effects Sepia toned images I edit for the most part. Just finished about 200 images from an event where I will put them on a DVD to music for purchase. They all looked fine when I finished with them. I exported them as JPEGs, long side 1024, quality 74. The rest of the long story short, iMovie made them look awful, opted for iDVD. First time viewing them all was good, but after multiple viewings after rearranging/adding/deleting images from the project, they look like crap. For some very strange reason, many took on a pinkish/reddish coloration and often will introduce artifacts that simply weren't there in Lr. I viewed my edited images on 2 other Mac's and the issue remains, so not my computer.
I have an 27" iMac, OS 10.6.8 (completed up-to-date), 3.3GHz duo core, 12GB RAM, 960GB of free space on a 1TB HDD. Under warranty the display and recalled hard drive have been replaced, so my Lr 4.3 is completely fresh; not from a backup. With the new HDD recent, I haven't calibrated my computer as of yet. My images are on a WD 3TB with 1.25TB of free space (a tad on the low side but shouldn't effect anything). My camera is a Sony A33 and I shoot strictly in RAW set for sRGB; using ProPhoto in Lr and for sometime now only in Manual.
I have a folder of images that need to be shown show one after another, like a slideshow.
Towards the end, the images will be shown shorter and shorter, so the sequence goeds fatser and faster.
Is there a quick and simple way of doing this in AE? Or Premiere for that matter?
I want to export a series of images from a video, but only, say, one frame every three or four seconds. One out of every 90 to 120 frames of the video. Can this be done in AE, or do I need to do this in another CC program?

For example, if I run the following effects I have to apply it to each image one effect at a time and repeat for each image that I want the exact same effects applied but would prefer to do it all in one go
Blur/(GPU) Gaussian Blur
Noise/Reduce Noise
Photo/Sharpen+
I use these to clean up the moire from scans and reduce dust/dirt then apply a mild sharpen effect to bring back the now softenend image back up slightly. Being able to have presets would be a real bonus for quick clean ups, of digital camera images or camera phone images
I found it by spending a bit more time looking through the menus, under the Effect menu and the Advanced tab and creating a custom effects script ......
But now would like to see if I can have a list of presets instead of having to load them through the script engine one at a time, maybe an option under the 'Effects/Presets' menu option listing all the scripts that are currently saved.
I do a lot of timelpase photography and use Adobe software in my post workflow. I would like to master the process of using black images to reduce the digital noise of astral timelapses taken at 3200iso. I work in a RAW workflow then output to DPX image sequesnce.
I started on a timelapse forum with a similar query. I am just wondering if there is a way to do this with Ae in the RAW workflow or something similar. Instead of using other software. Maybe a Ps batch process? URL...
Knowing that X5 won't apply effects to 48bit images unless I convert them to 24bit first, If I apply a mask first over to the 48bit image, then apply an effect to that, will this work? or do I still need to convert my image to 24bit?
