Aug 27, 2002This is pretty un-advanced but anyways, all I want to do is "pixelate" and image. Better worded, I want to take an image and instead of it being sharp and clean, I want each pixel to stand out. almost like if you zoom way in while in PS, how you can see all the pixels. Is there a way to adjust how big each pixel is, i.e. lets say I wanted each pixel to be 4x4? Hard to explain, but I hope you understand what Im saying.

After Effects :: Transparent Smoke Text After Effects CS5.5
Feb 27, 2014I've made a fabulous Smoke Text effect that I then insert the .mov file into Final Cut Pro. The smoke effect I downloaded from the tutorial has a black background and therefore when rendered out, it's a basic white text against a black background. Once in FCP, I have to turn the file's opacity down in order for it to layer over a video file and not black out what I layer over it.

How can I make the file transparent? A simple toggle of the transparency grid isn't going to do it. I need to make or find a video of smoke that is transparent?

Feb 12, 2011I'm Looking for a Photoshop plug-in/filter that can "explode"/"pixelate"/"crystallize"...but not like the default filters in PS
(i am using CS4 on PC)
Imagine an image, lets say a leaf. i am looking for a filter / plug-in that can make small cubes out of the image and then expand/explode the cubes (large pixels) so the leaf looks like a "digitized explosion/expansion"
since i can not post links do this to see an example of the effect i am looking for: input: world-map-basic-dots-vector into Google, pick the first link at vector stock dot com and see the dotted world map (a simple example)
This could (in theory) be done by hand not using ANY effects/filters/ plugins but it would take a long time to do and would be very hard to edit after the cutting has been done.
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 :: Grayscale TIFFs Pixelate On Import
May 8, 2011Grayscale tif files which are crisp and sharp in Irfan view and even in Windows Explorer thumbnails appear pixelated when imported into my CorelDraw X5 (on Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit) at 100% (A4 paper). Props are:

Sep 8, 2011I have noticed that files opened in Paint.NET 3.5.8 tend to pixelate at higher magnification. This occurs regardless of size, format or resolution. The same files opened in other Adobe, Ulead or even my MS file viewer do not do this.

Aug 24, 2013I’m trying to add some text effects over my video, but I’m really stuck right now getting After Effects and Adobe Premier to work together.
From the tutorials I’ve watched online, I’ve been trying to create a dynamic link between the two programs so I could easily create texts and other effects in AE that immediately show up on my timeline in Premier. I've been able to create texts, but whatever I create in AE is not showing up on the Premier timeline. Am I missing a step? Also, when I load up my sequence into AE, all of the color correcting that I’ve done with Looks inside Premier goes away, and the clips appear as they did right out of the camera.

Dec 17, 2013I think I may have made a big error. While adding text and applying (experimenting) various "Effects" with the text, I used the garbage can icon to remove the "Effect", thinking it is going to remove the 'Effect" from the text, until I realized I had to remove the "Effect" with the edit button, not the garbage can. Have I now permanently removed the various "Effects" permanently or just off the screen? How do I regain them back onto the menu column? How many "Effects" should be visible in order to have the complete set? This was my first experiment with the lettering effects and hope I haven't lost them forever.Â

The video works fine, until at the end, when the camera moves through the text. When it moves through the text, it starts to "shake" the text. When the camera moves back away from the text, it stops shaking again.

Jan 1, 2013I really don't remember this happening in Lr 3.5, but it is in Lr 4.1-3 and only effects Sepia toned images I edit for the most part. Just finished about 200 images from an event where I will put them on a DVD to music for purchase. They all looked fine when I finished with them. I exported them as JPEGs, long side 1024, quality 74. The rest of the long story short, iMovie made them look awful, opted for iDVD. First time viewing them all was good, but after multiple viewings after rearranging/adding/deleting images from the project, they look like crap. For some very strange reason, many took on a pinkish/reddish coloration and often will introduce artifacts that simply weren't there in Lr. I viewed my edited images on 2 other Mac's and the issue remains, so not my computer.

I have an 27" iMac, OS 10.6.8 (completed up-to-date), 3.3GHz duo core, 12GB RAM, 960GB of free space on a 1TB HDD. Under warranty the display and recalled hard drive have been replaced, so my Lr 4.3 is completely fresh; not from a backup. With the new HDD recent, I haven't calibrated my computer as of yet. My images are on a WD 3TB with 1.25TB of free space (a tad on the low side but shouldn't effect anything). My camera is a Sony A33 and I shoot strictly in RAW set for sRGB; using ProPhoto in Lr and for sometime now only in Manual.

Nov 21, 2012Is there an easy way to apply multiple effects on a set of images or individual images, similiar to something like a preset in LightRoom.
For example, if I run the following effects I have to apply it to each image one effect at a time and repeat for each image that I want the exact same effects applied but would prefer to do it all in one go
Blur/(GPU) Gaussian Blur
Noise/Reduce Noise
Photo/Sharpen+
I use these to clean up the moire from scans and reduce dust/dirt then apply a mild sharpen effect to bring back the now softenend image back up slightly. Being able to have presets would be a real bonus for quick clean ups, of digital camera images or camera phone images
I found it by spending a bit more time looking through the menus, under the Effect menu and the Advanced tab and creating a custom effects script ......
But now would like to see if I can have a list of presets instead of having to load them through the script engine one at a time, maybe an option under the 'Effects/Presets' menu option listing all the scripts that are currently saved.

Dec 28, 2004Photoshop CS. I am using it to print out my wedding invitations and am having a problem.
I printed out a majority of them a few months back and used the font 'poor richard' with the effect 'glowing edges' and it worked perfectly for the look I was going for. Now, when I try the same, the color of the text changes to black as soon as I apply the effect.

May 31, 2012I used XPGD7 to do some simple text w/ shadow and added it to my website (as an h1 tagged page heading). I do not pretend to be a graphic designer and would like a designers eye to tell me how to spice it up. Perhaps emboss or engrave? How can this be accomplished?
