Nov 7, 2012I made a dvd video on elements 7 (wmv) but it will not play on a dvd player. If I upgrade to elements 11 will it allow me to burn a dvd that will be a different format to be played on a dvd player?

Aug 27, 2002This is pretty un-advanced but anyways, all I want to do is "pixelate" and image. Better worded, I want to take an image and instead of it being sharp and clean, I want each pixel to stand out. almost like if you zoom way in while in PS, how you can see all the pixels. Is there a way to adjust how big each pixel is, i.e. lets say I wanted each pixel to be 4x4? Hard to explain, but I hope you understand what Im saying.

Imagine an image, lets say a leaf. i am looking for a filter / plug-in that can make small cubes out of the image and then expand/explode the cubes (large pixels) so the leaf looks like a "digitized explosion/expansion"
since i can not post links do this to see an example of the effect i am looking for: input: world-map-basic-dots-vector into Google, pick the first link at vector stock dot com and see the dotted world map (a simple example)
This could (in theory) be done by hand not using ANY effects/filters/ plugins but it would take a long time to do and would be very hard to edit after the cutting has been done.
VideoStudio :: PRO X5 - MP4 Not Played Properly
Dec 5, 2012I have produced a MP4 video using Magic VideoDeluxe. I can read it properly with VLC.
I can import it in a visual studio pro x5 project. The problem is that when I play it in Video Studio environment, some sequences are replayed twice and it happens that I see video artifacts.
Is it due to the codec? I have downloaded (and bought) VideoStudio last week, so I think it is not necessary to download the patch provided on the website.

Apr 11, 2011I have video studio 7 SE DVD. When I capture edit and share my file and burn it to DVD, the picture looks fat and stretched whenplayed on a widescreen TV.
I have played around with some of the properties and setting on the program but everything I do has the same effect.
I can have the TV set to 4.3 and the picture is fine but of course I have the black bars on each side.
Is there a way to have it show correctly on the widescreen TV without affecting the quality?
I dont mind if it cut some of the picture out as in top and bottom, I just want to keep the picture the right ratio without stretching it to fit.
My video camera I am using is a DV cam. I think it might be half the problem as it records in 4.3 format and is playing on a 16.9 TV.
VideoStudio :: Reinstall X4 And Not Loose Projects / Libraries?
Apr 12, 2011I installed the download/trial version of X4. I decided to purchase but went through an education/academic seller since I work at a university and get better prices.
I thought I could just input the serial # of the disk I bought but obviously there is a difference in the 2-versions since it won't accept the "educational version" serial #.
So, I figure I need to uninstall the download/trial version and install the what I got on DVD.
I am concerned about loosing the info in the libraries. I made a spare copy of the projects, just in case the uninstall does something with them.
AutoCad 3D :: After 3D Extrude Loose Original Polyline?
Feb 6, 2013I draw a closed polyline and then I extrude it. But when I want to see the 2d plane and hide the 3d version I cannot go back as the polylines are extruded and everything is disappearing. Should I draw a second poly over the first, then create a new layer, name it for example 3dpolywalls ? Is this the most common technique? Or there is a more efficient way ?

AutoCad :: Loose Grouping When Using Copy Clip
Feb 12, 2013So we have this custom construction note routine. It creates all the notes with station, offset, blah blah , and it is all together as once piece. So if you move the note group the leader will stay attached to it and it holds all of the label properties.
When I copy clip, wblock, insert these key notes into another drawing they are no longer a group and there is no way to move them all together.
This has created a lot of extra work and moving stuff around that does not seem necessary.How can I copy or move construction key notes from one drawing to another without losing the group properties. I have tried WBlock and making sure the grouping is on when I copy and paste/insert them but it still doesn't work.
Oh and we are running a 64bit 2013 with the carlson suite application,
VideoStudio :: X4 Audio Present But Not Played Back After Capturing VHS?
Jul 9, 2012I've tried everything I can think of to get the audio to playback after capturing from a VHS tape, but can't figure it out. I can hear the audio output from my sound card during capture, but playback has no audio. I noticed in the Video Properties box of the Options menu in Capture that the "audio source" says "pass through to sound card", but the "audio source" box is grayed out and can't be changed. I am using an S-Video cable for the video from the VCR, and L/R audio to a stereo plug into my Line In on the motherboard. I can hear the audio during capture, but not playback. BTW, the only means I have at this point is to use Pinnacle Studio to capture, then export as an mpg. file to import into VideoStudio. Pinnacle gives me a choice in audio inputs. Why is VSX4 not allowing that?

Mar 21, 2013New user to PSE11. Is it recommended that ALL photos be in albums or is the idea that photos in albums are a subset of the photos in folders? With all the sort and search functionality, I don't understand the benefit of albums.I name my image folders using a standard naming convention with the date embedded so it makes them rather easy to manage.
