My AE cs6 version is 11.0.2.12, it imports obj file well and I can drag the obj footage to the timeline,since I last did this in June using a form effects.But yesterday when I importing the obj file from the project panel,it warns me with the pop-up window.How can I deal with it?I have uninstall and install for many times,however it doesn't work.
View 4 Replieswhen trying to reopen a file from the "recently used" file list? When I try to click on a file from the list it gives me a message stating "error opening file". I know this will happen if the file has been moved to another location, but the files are in the same place as when I originally opened them. None of the files in the list will open anymore. Is this a pathing issue?

The time markers in Audacity are slightly off than they are in After Effects so my timing is all off.
Also, when Im scrubbing in AE, the time stamp jumps from 1;29 to 2;00. This is the only location where it does this (that I know of so far)
Ive tried different file types and frame rates and RAM preview settings and I have no idea where the discrepancy is.
This may have a simple solution (and probably does), but I can't find it. What I'm trying to do is to import an AI file into AE 5.5 as original vectors. I need to be able to scale up to about 12,000 percent and then back down to 100 percent for the effect of an extreme closeup being zoomed out. The point of vectors, of course, is that you can do this without losing resolution... but no matter what I try, AI files keep being imported as raster files. When they're scaled up enough, the pixilation starts. There HAS to be a way around this!!!

I'm trying to get back into making youtube videos and I am running into an issue. I have an Hauppauge HD PVR 2 gaming edition. Now one of the features that makes it easier for commentators like me is the ability to have all of the audio channels [game, mic, PC (aka skype chat)] all on seperate "layers" that way you can go into your video/audio editor and have the different audios so you can tweak them individually.
The problem that I have and wondering about is this, is there a way to import the files and have the different audio tracks be seperate? The files that they come in are either .ts [raw] or .mp4 [in program compression]. I would like to keep it in .ts even though its a bigger file as I like my compression style after I've edited that gives the best look without loss when uploading to youtube.
I have see the free program at any-video-converter.com mentioned, but the issue is last time I used it I somehow ended up with a virus. I also have handbrake, the Master collection cs 5.5, and VLC.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have centerline data from SHP file that I can either import or attach to. Has a few lines of object data with it including a centerline of road name. Each one unique. When I attach to the data, I can then "join" with it additional data from a database. When I select a line and look at the properties, it contains both the original object data AND the additional data from the database. SO far So good.
When I edit the style and try to add feature labels only part of the labels come in. I end up with a lot of them with only the letters "text" or just not there. If I right-click on the line and select "Show Data Table" I can confirm that there is data for that label. I find nothing in common with the map features that have labels, or don't have labels. Kind of random.
Question: If I import the SHP file and create object data I need to know if there is a way to "ADD" the rest of my data that is in the database to this object data. If so then I think I could define a Template and label each piece with the block with attributes. Is this possible? OR
Is it possible for me to export to a new SHP file after I have connected to the data (both shp file and database).
I'm want to drag an objects anchor and have the position co-ordinates offset by opposite amounts so it doesn't appear to move postioin on screen. IS there a tool for that?

What I want is basically to create effects that can be used in life event to the streaming music.
Okay so my least favorite After Effects activity is rotoscoping. Even so, I have been rotoscoping many shapes to blur out a sticker across many shots in mocha. I have about 10 minutes of rotoscoped footage and all of my mocha shapes were able to import except this one.
The shape looks correct in mocha but when I import the mocha shape data into After effects I get this terrible moving mess that must be 1000 pixels tall. It is nowhere near what I spent so much time matching up to my footage.
when After Effects decides it wants to change my rotoscoped shape into something entirely incorrect?
I'm trying to import a MPEG video from my camcorder into after effects, but AE says that the video is "corrupted or unsupported" and won't load it. I've tried taking it and exporting it from Premiere Pro and i've also tried just importing it as raw footage and it won't load it either way.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am currently experiencing problems trying to import iPhone 4 video into After Effects CS5.
Firstly i'd like to note that the video plays perfectly fine on the iPhone, VLC and in Quicktime Player. The audio and video is in sync.
When I add the footage to After Effects the video becomes slightly out of sync with the audio. I have noticed this in RAM preview and also in renders I did just to test.
I also want to note that, both my iPhone and After Effects have latest software updates.

I'm attempting to import a sequence of JPEG files as a composition into After Effects. The files were exported from Lightoom (Import/File). I select the first file in sequence and select JPEG Sequence but the Import as Footage is greyed out. Only the first file is imported. I'm attempting a timelapse from files taken with GoPro Hero3.

- The effect is only needed at some point of the video, it must appear, and then disappear, not being on screen the whole time.
- The object is moving, and changing shape, the blur must adapt to it.
- I've been trying to use the "Track Motion" option with Position & Rotation, then the "Analyze Forward" button, but the thing makes a mess all over, it's not following the object at all, then if You try to adjust it manually, it's only done in 1 frame, in the other frames the thing is off the object, then the "Tracking" stays on screen.
I was just wondering whether you can resize an object using keyframes. I want to have the object start small and then project and open out and grow. Is this possible?

I'm trying to import some Adobe Illustrator files into After Effects so that I can animate them. As far as I understand, I need to import them as a composition so that the layers will remain separate from each other.
However whenever I try to do this, I go through the whole process- select the file, select composition, click OK, it does nothing. The file does not appear anywhere in my project, it's as if I haven't done anything.
I'm new to AECS6 and wanted to embed a video into a video. I rendered an AVI(MPEG4) in Key-shot 4 that is only 6 seconds long.When I import (or drag and drop) that file into AE it freezes and then crashes. I am not sure what's going on. I tried importing other AVIs, and they seem to be working just fine!..
Then i tried importing the FLV of the same AVI video I rendered with keyshot, it says my file is damaged or corrupted. but i can playback the FLV file no problem.I am on windows 7 64bit right now, 8GB of ram, Intel i7 at 3.4GHz, NVDIA GeForace GT 640.
