Is there any posibility to import created 3D text in Photoshop to After Effect so the imported file was 3D? When i import the file is flattened. There was an option in cs5 i suppose but is it possible in creative cloud? I need these options to create for example 3d sphere or text.

I imported these files as raster layers and they appear clear within the pre-compositions of AE. The problem that I run into is when I exit the pre-comp and view the final composition the nested layers become pixelated. The layers are vector layers and I have tried everything that I can to correct the problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAs part of my workflow I import through Lightroom, then edit into Photoshop. This creates file 1 & 2 of 2 in my Lightroom. After editing all of the selected pictures into PSD files I routinely provide clients with smaller JPG's. I do this by opening the PSD flattening, shrinking, sharpening and "save as" into JPG's.
This does not create a third file in Lightroom and when I go to import the new JPG's Lightroom does not see them. I can open a Finder window ( I use a MAC) and see the files, but cannot get Lightroom to see them to import, then export to other media.
when i do import pictures into LR 4.2 (Win8 Pro x64, i7 2600K, 16GB), i'm having the following problem:
In import dialog window i can create a new target folder without any problems, i can import the pictures to that folder without any error.
After import process is complete, in the left pane (Folders) the pictures are in the folder i created a step before, but the folder is listed topmost in the "root" directory, not at the right place matching the directory structure - the pictures are physically stored in the correct folder. (So i can't just drag'n drop the folder to it's right place, says it's already there...)
Before this behaviour came up (worked well before), i did two changes to my system:
1. Upgrading W7>W8
2. Splitting System and Data: OS and programs are on SSD, data is on a RAID 1 MatrixRAID
My users-folder is a hard linked directory junction from SSD to MatrixRAID (mklink)
C:UsersUsername -> E:UsersUsername
(mklink /h /j C:UsersUsername E:UsersUsername)
So maybe LR can't deal with that? What can I do so that the imported folder shows up at the right place after import?
if i import some pictures, i wanna created a subfolder to import all the picture there. Until now it has functioned very well. Since a few days, the pictures are imported only on the parent folder and the subfolder didn't get created.
I use the latestet LR 4.3 Version on my MAC 10.8.2.

When I import photos, they go to a folder with a name "XXX" for example.
The folder is in a hierarchy of "2013, March, XXX".
Lightroom creates a folder here and above 2013! It is making a mess of my library.
Also, when I import using Photo Mechanic (great software that just works!) and then do a "synchronize folder" in Lightroom, only 1 photo is transferred.
Now, with that task simplified, I'm not sure how to change the color of the text created using this tool.

(they are attached via a wetransfer link because as I found out the file size limit here is 256k and I cannot compress the files down to that size.) After reading several of the threads here, I'm not any smarter. I've tried various settings to import the .pdf, and regardless of which option I choose, I get a file corrupted error - it looks like the pdf version output to from Illustrator is flat out not supported by coreldraw. it opens fine in foxit reader, which tells me it's pdf 1.5 version.the .eps imports as a group of 542 objects but I cannot see any of these objects in the Object Manager docker.
I just exported a large batch of images sized for submission to Alamy. I had the images that were created by the export, imported back into Lightroom.
The problem. All the keyword synonyms that were exported in the images, created new stand alone keywords in the keyword list - bad.
I had all my keywords nicely organized into 12 neat groups. Now I have a couple of hundred top level keywords because of the synonyms.
Can this be prevented?
SInce upgrading from LR4 to LR5 I can no longer create a new folder in the 'destination' section of the import pane and import new images into it.
If I right-click, for example, the desktop in the 'destination' area and select 'create new folder' I can create the folder, but it doesn't then show when I return to LR for the import. I have to have already created to folder outside of LR before the import for it to show as a viable location to import to.
I have a folder of all my photo's with my Sony NEX camera - which I have set to capture RAW+JPEG, so the folder contains a RAW and JPEG copy of each photo.
I've just started using Lightroom and run an import on that folder with 'Copy as DNG', discard duplicates, with the destination directory structure set to use photo dates. The source and destination folders are both on remote directories on my NAS.
After the import I expected to find lots of folders, ordered by date, containing just DNS files. However I find there are DNG and JPEG files for each photo.
My understanding is the standard previews and smart previews are stored locally with the LR catalog. So what are the JPEG files that have been created?

I just bought a MacBook Air as my travel device. I have a Windows laptop that I use for everyday activities and processing. I just did a shoot and imported my RAW files into a brand new catalog on the MBA. I flagged picks and did some processing (both heavy processing and light processing) on the MBA. I saved Metadata to file, ejected the external hard drive from the MBA and then hooked it up to the Windows device.
Issue #1: I cannot open the new catalog created on the MBA on my Windows device. It just fails.
Issue #2: When I simply synchronize the drive to the Windows laptop, the files do come in and the processing that I did comes in too. However, the flags do not transport. And, any adjustments I did with the adjustment brush are not available for editing on the Windows laptor. (If I "reset" it does go back to the original RAW file, but before resetting, I have no access to the adjustement brush settings on the Windows device)
Sometimes (atleast 2 times) when I take photos late, butween about 10-11 PM they are created in a folder with the date for the following day.
Last time this happend was yesterday (2013-06-05). Almost all photos was automaticlly in folder for 2013-06-05 for the import but 10 photos shot between 10.07pm - 10.43pm was put in the folder 2013-06-06.
Im using Lightroom 4.4 Swedish version.
Is it at date/time-proporties in Lightroom which is wrong (not Swedish-time) or what can it be?
I've made a fabulous Smoke Text effect that I then insert the .mov file into Final Cut Pro. The smoke effect I downloaded from the tutorial has a black background and therefore when rendered out, it's a basic white text against a black background. Once in FCP, I have to turn the file's opacity down in order for it to layer over a video file and not black out what I layer over it.
How can I make the file transparent? A simple toggle of the transparency grid isn't going to do it. I need to make or find a video of smoke that is transparent?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI am using old Photoshop 7 because honestly, it has always filled every minor need of mine. Normally, I'm not doing much more than creating simple display placards, but this new project has me stumped. I am creating a simple layout for a device that will be silkscreened. The screen will be exposed using what I am creating in PS7, printed on a transparency.
The problem I am running into is with the text dithering. I found a tutorial that explained selecting the layer, then using Layer>Type>Create Work Path to generate a path around all of the text on the layer. I am now attempting to fill this path with solid black. When I select the path in the palette, the dot to fill the path is grayed out. I found an app note that stated when text is active, this is not an option. I tried disabling the text layer, but it didn't work.
i have been using photoshop in the last few days creating a 3D object from scratch by fist making my 2D image and then making it into a 3D object. I have saved it as a psd ans when i try to import it to after effects cs6 it imports but then my object is still 2D!
How do i save my created object in photyoshop so that i can open it in #d in aftereffects. Already tried to import it as a composition but there was no 3D layer option
I think I may have made a big error. While adding text and applying (experimenting) various "Effects" with the text, I used the garbage can icon to remove the "Effect", thinking it is going to remove the 'Effect" from the text, until I realized I had to remove the "Effect" with the edit button, not the garbage can. Have I now permanently removed the various "Effects" permanently or just off the screen? How do I regain them back onto the menu column? How many "Effects" should be visible in order to have the complete set? This was my first experiment with the lettering effects and hope I haven't lost them forever.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI’m trying to add some text effects over my video, but I’m really stuck right now getting After Effects and Adobe Premier to work together.
From the tutorials I’ve watched online, I’ve been trying to create a dynamic link between the two programs so I could easily create texts and other effects in AE that immediately show up on my timeline in Premier. I've been able to create texts, but whatever I create in AE is not showing up on the Premier timeline. Am I missing a step? Also, when I load up my sequence into AE, all of the color correcting that I’ve done with Looks inside Premier goes away, and the clips appear as they did right out of the camera.
Okay so my least favorite After Effects activity is rotoscoping. Even so, I have been rotoscoping many shapes to blur out a sticker across many shots in mocha. I have about 10 minutes of rotoscoped footage and all of my mocha shapes were able to import except this one.
The shape looks correct in mocha but when I import the mocha shape data into After effects I get this terrible moving mess that must be 1000 pixels tall. It is nowhere near what I spent so much time matching up to my footage.
when After Effects decides it wants to change my rotoscoped shape into something entirely incorrect?

I've tried taking it and exporting it from Premiere Pro and i've also tried just importing it as raw footage and it won't load it either way.

I imported audio into Audition. In Audition, I created waveform and time-varying spectral displays. With Snagit, I video-captured the waveform and spectral display as MP4. Saved it. Imported it to After Effects. No audio.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI am currently experiencing problems trying to import iPhone 4 video into After Effects CS5.
Firstly i'd like to note that the video plays perfectly fine on the iPhone, VLC and in Quicktime Player. The audio and video is in sync.
When I add the footage to After Effects the video becomes slightly out of sync with the audio. I have noticed this in RAM preview and also in renders I did just to test.
I also want to note that, both my iPhone and After Effects have latest software updates.
I am importing a large avi file into After Effects. It is 50 minutes long. When I import it into after effects, it only loads 32 seconds of it. I've tried renaming the file, reloading the program, but it still will only load that small portion of it.
