I follow the tutorial in the Xara Help, but cannot get the results shown. I draw the circle, compose the text, and set it to the middle Select both circle and text Arrange/Fit Text to Curve....the text appears around the lower, right side of the cirle After all this I am unable to manipulate the text (It's a piece of cake to do this in Publisher 2010, but it has some minor problems in appearance)

Oct 1, 2011I just downloaded paint.net and I'm making a icon for my youtube channel. I'm usually good when it comes to photoshop (i had it for years, it recently was uninstalled by mistake and I couldn't be bothered re-downloading it) but I cant seem to find out how to do something.
I'm trying to colour the blur behind the text (the layer under layer 5) but I've tried making a new layer, colouring green over it and using overlay, that failed. I've check multiple tutorials, but nothing is working.

Basically, I want to make the image out of the tiny text and delete the image from the background. As of right now, I'm individually selecting text and changing the color, bit by bit. I know there has to be a much better way, this is going to take hours! I've been using AI for a very long time and this is one of the only times I've been completely stumped!
