I'm making some signs for my veggie stand for when we open. the problem I'M having is that I can change the font size ok but after I go back and try to add color to were i want it on the text won't let me do a thing.
View 2 Repliesi have a few scans of documents which are 20-30 years old. Some text on this documents is written on a typewriter. Now im trying to make this text to be more clear in relation to the background.
I tried to to this using Curves and Levels. The text is getting darker as i want it, but also the background changes which is what i dont want, because if i do this on a rectangular selection it is visible. Curves is quite ok, but it still changes the background to much in my opinion. Is there a way only to make the text more black without changing the background much? Now, with that task simplified, I'm not sure how to change the color of the text created using this tool.Â

I succeeded to make a panel but when I export it, the color has changed for some unknown reason. It looks like an additional white layer applied on the surface (In the yellow box in the attached pic).
Any suspicious check options I can try?? I really need to do this right..

I have a Toshiba laptop with Windows 7. It has a 500GB HD, 4GB RAM, 16" screen and CorelDRAW X5 and Summa's WinPlot bridge software installed. Everything runs perfectly.
I want to be able to cut vinyl letters from my Summa D75R vinyl cutter and then to cut a different colored outline to be applied over the top of those letters. The letters themselves, that is, the main body of the letters, I can cut with no problem.
I know that I will have to separate the two elements and cut the letters from one file and the outlines from a different file. As an experiment I created a single word with a color. I then created an outline for that word. I deleted the body of the letter leaving only the outline.
I then did a "Convert to Curves" on the outline and imported the image into the WinPlot software that my Summa D75R vinyl cutter uses. I sent the image to the cutter but it cut it as a solid letter. It did not make a double-line cut as it would have to do to make the image an outline.
how to take a full color pic and then turn it into a black and white of the same thing but also keep some of the color of the original picture...

How to get the hand written words to stand out better and be on a pretty much pure black background.
I have played around with simple contrast, brightness, etc. and some other features but not gotten the effect I would like. I might not get it but I would like suggestions on a technique that would do this as automatically as possible. I know I could spend the time to get down to a pixel level and clean up the writing then drop it back on to a new black layer. This would be very time intensive and I would have a big learning curve on how to do this.

Can I use a the color replacer tool in PSP 7 to replace a color in an image with a "transparent" color or is there some other way of doing this using the eraser for instance?

I use the gray scale option and that works great, but it still has the shading of the drawing/picture, and I want lines only. So is there some what of a easy way to do this?
Question 2. Once having a line drawing if some of the lines are a little shaky or kinda looking to pixel ish, Is there a simple way to smooth these lines out?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI could edit an existing PDF made by another company, just change a few lines of text. The original file was around 3 mb. I add in a website, extension to the phone number, switch out the fax (That's it!) and save as a new version. It's now almost 30 mb. Why?? My work email won't let me send something of that size.. I tried saving as smallest file size w/ preserving editing and it came out to be 15+ mb.

No matter where I've looked in PSP, there was no option to change the color of the paint brush. I've read online that you need to change the pallet to material pallet, then go to "Foreground & Stroke Properties" and set the color box to the color I want, but the only colors I get are different hues of black and gray.
Even in Paint it's just a matter of clicking the desired color to use different colors. Why isn't it so simple in PSP?

The style I use in all of my pics is by making a new layer, changing it to color mode, then making rainbow colors with a really soft brush. Everything was going fine until I threw some text in there. Now when I paint, the text stays the same color!

want text start as larger contract towards the middle and expand to the end.
all text flat on top and the curving would be along the bottom (to go over the oval shaped image).

As always, what I'm trying to do is create an overlay "mask" to cover up part of a GUI screenshot. I've learned the hard way that you can't simply draw a box and then move/adjust its properties, so I'm going with a layer as instructed.
