Considering the use of sequences of still images (e.g. created through vector software as Corel Draw), whether “VideoStudio Pro X4” is able to make the following kind of animation?

There's a great bog eyeball, which, as most eyeballs, is not perfectly spherical, and has a bug bump where the cornea juts out over the iris area. The eye is open, with eyelids above and below the iris, the upper covering the top of the iris somewhat. As the eyeball rotates, it should deform the eyelid, esp. the upper eyelid. What's the next way to make eyelids conform to the eyeball as it rotates, we can use cloth if necessary, but if there's an easier way, with constraints, lattices, etc. Like if there's a lattice on the eyelid whose control points get pushed away by the front of the eye, then fall back as it rotates away, or something..

View 1 Replies View RelatedI made a DVD video in the default (I live in Canada) NTSC format using VSP X4. However I would like to make the same Video DVD in PAL format, to send to relatives in Europe. In "Share" mode, when I click on "Settings and Options" then "Disk Template Manager" I can see templates for NTSC and choosing PAL I see templates for PAL. Next when I go to "Projects Settings" the setting is in NTSC and clicking "Change MPEG Settings" only the NTSC templates show up. When I choose "Custom Settings" I can not change to PAL as the drop down menu for choosing is inactive.

I imported a file from my dv camcorder and tried to make a dvd but get an "unsprecified error". I then created a video file and coverted to mpg. file and then tried to make a dvd but it didn't work either. Still get an "unspecified error".

But now, when I try do more editing , make another disk, or save to a file in my PC., I have no audio. If I save it as a dvd, the sound is fine. I've reinstalled the software, still the same. Have I turned the audio off somehow when I try to make the file in Bluray format ?

I have a video of one person being interviewed by another, and I want to make inaudible some of the words - usually it's just one or two words at a time, whilst the video continues. Rather than have these words covered with a "beep" my preference would be for "silence". At the moment my best guess would be to multitrim the video, and for the clip that contains only the offending word, split the audio, and then delete the audio for that clip.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm working in VSX4. I've created a couple of small movies which I want to compile onto a single dvd. The video files from both movies combined only amount to about 3.2 GB, yet when I try to "share" and make the dvd with both of my vsp files, it adds up to be a total of over 7 GB. Is it normal to have this much "inflation" on a project? I've not done anything special as far as graphics or fancy menus or even chapter markers. It's just a handful of clips with the "crossfade" transition applied. And that's it.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have used X5 to build a slideshow, but this is the first time I tried using video. The source are mpg's created with the Sony Motion Picture Browser (taken with a DCR SR42 Handy Cam). I added title screens between my video segments. I then used the create disc link in section 3 to create a menu (linked to the titles I added previously). I then told it to make an ISO file. It reached ~ 85% of the title conversion (24% total) and the PC shut down. Not a crash, no errors, just shut down. I turn the PC back on and it boots up like normal, No unexpected shutdown screens, no safe mode, just normal boot up. I have downloaded and installed service packs 1 & 2. I was making a 16x9 video with standard ( not Dolby) audio.
This is a wedding video for a couple I know. I was able to burn a DVD from Sony software, but it is unedited video.
I've read thru most of the historial threads regarding making time lapse videos using VS X4. I am very happy with the normal videos what I have been able to produce using VS X4, however I am missing something when it comes to time lapse using stills taken with a GoPro Hero2 taken every 2 seconds in time lapse mode. The still images look sharp and clear in my photo editing software, but lose focus and sharpness when imported into VS X4 using Insert photo into Timeline for Time lapse/strobe. a process to improve the quality of my time lapse video I am making for our Boy Scout Troop packing up their campsite on a beautiful spring morning.

I simply want to have them show in chronological order with some music and nice transitions, maybe in a frame template. I know I can do this in V3 fairly easily and I have done a good bit of video editing with VideoStudio, but I am wondering if there is a wizard that would make something like this faster and get me most of the way there.
There was Movie Wizard in past versions that I never used because I never had anything this simple to do. Is there a recommendation for how to get 90% there in VS3?
I am making a slide show with Video Studio and would like to create a menu on the dvd with 4 chapters for the main slide show and one special feature type slide show that would be part of the same project that can be selected to play seperate from the main slide, but on the same menu. Is this at all possible to do.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI've done this before on Pro X3 but don't remember how. I want to create a file with a Dolby Stereo LtRt soundtrack for you-tube. Last time I posted you-tube took a h.264 file.
One thing I don't remember is do I use 2 mono tracks (l and r) or an integrated LtRt stereo file. Right now I'm trying it with stereo file which plays on XP4 but the completed movie sounds like pink noise.
I am preparing a video of our dog and would like to have paw prints that move across the title clip. I thought I could do this in Painting Creator but not sure how to insert an image.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm currently evaluating the product. I like most of what I see, but I do have one major issue - animation of text. You can't use the transitions on the text because they effect the entire screen, not just the text, blacking out the main video. The text animations only have a few types that allow entry and exits. Which mean that the text can pop-up, but only disappear at the end. This seems to be a major oversite in an otherwise stellar product. I use pinicle now, which is nowhere near as nice in most aspects, but in pinicle I can slide text on and curl off or any other combo I choose. Way better.

I can only get down to a image speed of 0.1 second or 10 frames/second by editing each images and then reduce duration time. Is it impossible to get the duration time to 0.0417 that is about a speed of 24 frames/second? If it is impossible maybe something for the wishlist to the future!
Next quistion is is it possible to somewhere in the settings change the duration time for images so you don't need to edit each images each time! It can be hard if you have over 400 images to edit!

I want to use an image sequence of an animation created in Lightwave 3D, bring it into VideoStudio and then create a BluRay disc with it on. I am hoping to do this in one go rather than convert it to a movie file first.
I'm trying to create a text animation to come in from right to left and then pause, but because it does not fill the whole width of the screen it only starts from the centre of the screen. How can I get it to enter from the edge ?
View 2 Replies View RelatedAt the moment I am creating presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint and exporting them as movies and then into Videostudio. I am also using Powerpoint for written content, such as slides. This is fine for basic informational type videos but obviously it's very limiting.
Before I bought Videostuido I used Animoto for a while and that creates some very nice movements and effects. I'd like to be able to do the same. Recommend an entry level animation package?
Is there a way to adjust individual animation parameters ( i.e. zoom speed, hold up time, disappearing time etc.) for predefined titles in X5?
I cannot find any of such control neither under options or attributes tabs.
I added a flash animation as an overlay track but cannot get it to extend further than the original animation length, I am trying to have the animation as a background throughout the video.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have just loaded X4 (previously used VS 11.5 Plus); however, I can not seem to get the sound working properly inside the X4 program. My sound card is fine and when I play/select the individual files using windows explorer they all play fine. Is there a global mute setting that I have to turn off/on?
Also, I have a lot of audio, transitions(burger, etc) and animation files from VS 11.5+ that I would like to make available in X4. How you upload these file into X4? How to load the Bonus Audio content that came with X4 (animal, cartoon, etc)...
I have a Nikon D3100 camera and I am trying to use it to make stop animation movies. When I plug it in via USB I can import videos/photos to my computer, etc...so it is recognized. However, when I try to use it in VideoStudio X4 the only option I get is a webcam. Are there any special drivers I need to make this work? I have searched google a bit, but maybe I am missing something. I am using the trial version of the program to try and get things worked out before I actually purchase it. The software looks wonderful for stop animation so I really want to make this work.

Want to know how to move and scale a graphic such as a jpeg across the screen along an animation path - iE; I have a picture of an object that starts at one point in the top left hand corner which I can animate to grow bigger and move to the bottom of the screen.
