Revit :: Missing Panel Buttons
Aug 5, 2013Every so often while i'm working in Revit the Ribbon/panel bottoms disappear. Even when toggling threw the options i can only get some of it to reappear. I attached what it looks like and when i toggle through the options.

Jun 10, 2013Whenever I try to print sheets that contain shaded (or better) 3D views, these 3D views do not appear on my prints/Pdf's/DWFx's. I've tried different PDF-drivers and hardcopy printers that are in my office, but they all don't work.
Some things that maybe can narrow the cause down:
- Printing a single 3D view to a DWFx works
- Printing a single 3D view to PDF or hardcopy printer doesn't work
- Printing a Hidden Line view on sheets works on alle printers
- 2013; printing a sheet containing 3D views works. When upgrading the same project to 2014, the same sheet fails.
AutoCAD LT :: Make Dropdown Buttons For Custom Ribbon Panels
Mar 14, 2012I have made a 2012 LT custom ribbon and a custom panel. I have transferred buttons from my autocad 2006 to my 2012 LT. They work just fine. The probem is that in 2006 I had drop down buttons to save toolbar space. I want to be able to add the drop down button feature to my new panel. I do not see how to create that type of button, so I can add the regular buttons to it and have one drop down button with those commands in it.

Jun 6, 2012I am working in a 3D Modeling workspace.
I am attempting to use the new Base View feature called Offset Section.
The 3D, solid, model has been created. I click on the Layout tab and there are only to panels showing: Layout and Layout Viewports. Four seem to have gone missing: Create View, Modify View, Update and Styles & Standards.
I have not made any changes to the CUI nor have I migrated settings from 2012.
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Missing Panels On Start
Jun 21, 2013On one of my computers, a couple of panels continually disappear on each start-up of Civil 3D 2013. On the modify tab, both edit geometry and edit elevations continue to uncheck themselves. I have save a workspace, made it default to no avail. Next startup i do the same thing, and so it goes throughout the day and every day.

Mar 22, 2013I just upgraded to 2013 map to a different computer. I loaded my 2012 profile and other than having to load the profile every time, I also do not have most of the ribbon tabs which I had upon the initial installation of 2013. After about 2 days I lost all od my map ribbon tabs, and at the same time my cui stopped loading automatically.
What is going on with this 2013 thing? It seems there may be a serious need for another hotfix or service pack.
AutoCAD Inventor :: Vault Missing Buttons?
Apr 9, 2012A customer has a problem with the add-in of Vault in Inventor. Log In and Log Out options are lost as shown in the picture. The machine already formatted and installed applications again but the problem continues.

In Maya 2012, this plugin works fine unfortunately I dont have access to that version anymore.

Oct 12, 2013I think I'm missing the "Conform" buttons from the Freeform panel. I create a plane with 20x20 segments and convert it to Poly but the Confrom buttons are not there?

May 13, 2008I've been added and removed specific mullions along curtain wall grid lines and now have the mullions where I want them. Unfortunately, some of the glass panels remain divided along the grid lines even though the mullions have been removed. Is there some way to join the two panels into one?

Nov 25, 2013I created a curtain panel family and loaded it into my project where I had created a mass and divided the surface, and changed the panels to be my curtain panel family i created. The mass has a curve that I want the panel to be on the inside of, but the panel is always placed on the outside. File is attached. So on the smaller curve on the north side of my building, the panels are placed on the inside of the building instead of the outside. How can I place the panels on the outside of the building along the curve?

Feb 28, 2011When I apply a video filter the sliders and button under the original/preview box are hidden beyond access by the windows box's boundaries.
I can see they're just hidden below the timeline of the split original/preview section. Can't seem to maximize the windows box to show the whole thing and access them. Here's a picture to show: [URL].......
Is this a common problem? Is there a work around? Has it been fixed in VS X4?
Quick edit: this happens with more than just one filter.
AutoCAD 2010 :: Minimize Maximize Close Buttons Missing?
Apr 4, 2013I almost always work with multiple drawings in the same Autocad window. Often (maybe 2/3rds of the time?) when I have one drawing maximized inside the Autocad window, the minimize-downsize-close buttons disappear from that drawing's window. The only way to get them back is to cascade the windows.

Feb 16, 2012I am trying to export my floor plan to dwg file and I have curtain wall there which have panels as regular wall types. The problem is that exporting it will put those panels on the wall layer. I need them to be on curtain wall panel layer. I tried to use "Function" parameter in wall family by changing certain wall types to Retaining (since I don't use this parameter) and changed Wall/Retaining category layer to curtain panel in dwg export setup. But it seems it has no effect.I also noticed that walls inserted as panels into curtain wall do have a parameter under "Identity Data" with the name "Categorize as" where are two values - wall or panel. But this does not have any effect either since there is no category for it in export setup.

Sep 16, 2011I have created a operable window to insert in a curtain wall system based on the "Window - Curtain Wall" family. I created a simple extrusion for the glazing panel and assigned it the subcategory of "Glass". When loaded in the project, the cut lines of this panel are a much heavier weight than mullions, other glass panels, etc. The lines are so thick, the double line just becomes a fat single line as they merge together. Adjacent glass panels don't have this line weight problem. I can find no override or other control/parameter that fixes this.

Jan 24, 2013I am running Windows 8. I have used multiple .NET Framework removal/repair tools, tried uninstalling all versions of .NET and reinstalling 4.0 from its official Microsoft standalone installer. However, every time I try to install 4.0, I recieve a message stating that it or a higher version of .NET is already installed.
Upon further research, I was informed that the .NET 4.5 Framework is an integral part of Windows 8 that cannot be uninstalled.
I cannot access any of the tools I need to in the program, so it is basically rendered useless (don't tell me to just use shortcuts because that is extreemely tedious and painful to make work properly, ive tried it). I have also thought about just installing Revit 11' and using that, but it is no longer available from Autodesk!
AutoCAD 2013 :: Control Buttons Missing (Minimize / Maximize / Close)
Mar 27, 2013I'm using autocad 2013 & the classic workspace instead of ribbon. For some strange reason, if 2 or more drawings are open & I minimize a drawing, it removes the minimize, maximize, close buttons from the right top side of the screen like in the attached picture. To get them back I have to go to the window pulldown & select the drawing from there. I'm using windows 7 pro with a nvidia quadro 1000m card.

Revit :: Aligning Two Curtain Walls / Panels In Blob-like Form
Jan 20, 2014I'm trying to figure out a small problem I have with creating a Blob-like form. I've created a mass by creating a form out of six (two per level) reference lines. The Form comes out nice, but whenever I divide the form, the two created surfaces don't align with each other. Therefore, when I create curtain walls or patterns on this form, they don't match up either.
I have attached two images and a Conceptual massing file with the mass inside.

May 28, 2013I’ve installed Revit 2014, but mainly using 2013. When I installed 2014, the button on the 2013 ribbon started acting funny.
When I select an element, a wall for instance, I don’t get the proper buttons under the MODIFY tab showing up. I have to hit the show/hide button on the drop-down menu that controls the visibility of the ribbon & buttons to get the EDIT PROFILE button.
And it doesn't end there; when I get into EDIT PROFILE mode, the proper buttons are not showing up again. Again, I have to do a show/hide with the drop down menu, and then the proper buttons show up and I can edit the wall.
If I then select another element, such as a roof, I have to go through the same two-extra-step process to edit the roof.
I just re-installed 2013 yesterday because I’ve been having issues with 2013 crashing on a daily basis, and then not opening at all. Yet the same problem still happens. I un-installed 2014, and the problem still happens. After I un-installed 2014, I did a repair on 2013, and the problem still persists.
I spoke to my Tech Support, CAD-1, this morning and they told me it’s possibly an issue with 2014 over writing some .NETFRAMEWORK files for 2013 (or something like that). They saw the problem on my system but couldn’t resolve the issue.
I’ve called Autodesk Tech Support, and of course the made a ticket and “will get back to me.” (I’ve not had much luck w/ Autodesk Tech Support in the past, and have a bad taste in my mouth because of it)
Maya :: Mental Ray Missing In 2014 SP4
Feb 26, 2014I have installed Maya 2014 SP4 at home, this is a fresh install and was just trying to see if there are any problems with the new SP before I install it at work.
But for some reason, the install went OK, but when I looked under the Render settings there is no MentalRay, and then looking in the Plugins list, there are none there either?
Maya :: 2014 Animation Windows Missing?
Dec 27, 20131. I click on Maya to open. Icon bounces and loads.
2. Maya loading window appears.
3. Maya finishes loading and 1 minute startup movies appears.
4. Menu bar for Maya appears at top of screen.
5. Nothing else appears.
6. See attached pic. Notice the menus bar at top and no animation windows on desktop
TROUBLESHOOTING I HAVE TRIED:
1. I reinstalled Maya 2014 with SP3 and reactivated the licensing.
2. Restarted computer several times.
3. Tried opening old scenes.
4. Tried opening new
COMPUTER INFO:
MacBook Pro 15 Inch 1TB flash harddrive with turbo boost to 3.8.
SOFTWARE INFO:
Running Maya 2014 SP3 package.
Maya :: 2014 Show Manipulator Tool Missing
Jun 18, 2013What's up with the Show Manipulator Tool in Maya 2014? On my system, the tool is not showing up in the toolbar. There's just a blank spot where the icon used to be. The tool is still accessible via the General Shelf.
